I still don't think Misty was the tipster. Her own lawyer said that Misty's info caused someone else to talk (or something like that). I think bringing her out to the river was purely for investigative purposes. Take her out there and see what kind of emotions come out. But, who knows, maybe she is the tipster and she has grown a heart.

It may be that LE has been able to glean enough info from all those possibly involved to be able to go, convincingly enough, back to those they suspect may be involved and have convinced "someone" that the beans have been spilled....gig is up? I could see a female of MC's age finally cracking.....thinking someone else "talked". I do think there's more than one person involved with this though.

Day 2 of revived Haleigh search bears no discoveries; Tennessee cousin talks
Tennessee cousin interviewed; sheriff says case unchanged
Posted: April 14, 2010 - 11:38am

The young Tennessee man who was interviewed by detectives in the revived search for Haleigh Cummings denied any involvement or knowledge with the girl’s disappearance this afternoon.

Joseph Overstreet, 20, and his mother Tina sat in his attorney’s office for a news conference this afternoon. Joseph Overstreet mostly sat quietly with his head down while his lawyer answered questions about the case. But he and his mother both began to cry when asked about the impact the investigation has had on them.

“I’ve lost a lot of family,” he said, before putting his head down and sobbing.

Overstreet was interviewed and cleared by police soon after the February 2009 disappearance of the 5-year-old girl. He lives in Nashville, Tenn., but was visiting cousins in Satsuma. He left the day Haleigh was discovered missing.

All day Tuesday and now today, authorities have been searching the waterway and woods off County Road 309 about five miles from where Haleigh was last seen. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said the status of this investigation has not changed and nothing of value has been found.

I just don't know what to think of this cousin Joe O., Just cause he breaks down sobbing doesn't mean notta imo because I've seen way too many lying murdering criminals do it all the while looking utterly and completely broken hearted!

My head is spinning...I wish MC would just break down and spill it because she knows exactly what the heck happened to Halleigh IMO!

Everything happens at prime time on HLN. They will report "breaking and live" news at 8 pm regardless.

I was wondering the same thing too Kelly. I agree he should have been there. Can she agree to speak with LE against the advice of her attn?

she's done it before

I am struggling with the fact her attorney isnt there. Why wouldnt he be? I think she is guilty as hell-o, but she should have her lawyer there IMO...(ducking from the fruitcake bombs now)

Maybe one of the men with her is her attorney.

Antioch Man Says He Didn't Hurt Missing Fla. Girl
Joe Overstreet Questioned For Third Time
Reported by Caroline Moses

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- There's some news in Tennessee about the case of a missing child in Florida.

The cousin of Haleigh Cummings' former stepmother lives in Antioch and was called in for questioning a third time. He's now talking, saying he had nothing to do with the child's death or disappearance.

Joe Overstreet, 20, has been under suspicion by some of his family for 14 months, he said, and he broke down while speaking for the first time about the investigation.

"I'm sorry. I can't imagine what they're going through. I didn't do it," Overstreet said. "If I knew who did, I would straight call the cops and tell who did it."

Overstreet struggled Wednesday to maintain his composure as he talked about this case.

Haleigh disappeared from her home 14 months ago. Her father's ex-wife said she put the 5-year-old to bed one night in February 2009, and that was the last anyone saw of the girl.

Overstreet and his attorney said family members are the ones who keep putting Overstreet back on the hot seat.

"At his age, to be accused of such a horrendous act and to be given no support, it's disgusting," said Overstreet's attorney, Shawn Sirgo.

Misty standing at the dock of the day

Searchin high and low

For another lie to take her home.

Whoa! Where is the JVM thread. Misty was brought in handcuffs down to the boat ramp today. Showing on JVM right now.

Investigators very animated with their hands talking agressively with Misty as she looks at the search going on for Haleigh at the boat ramp. Just thinking here, did Joe and Tommy point the finger at Misty?

I am looking all over the place haven't found either

Well, I didn't see a separate thread and its about the search so I posted it here. Misty was taken in handcuffs to the boat ramp. They are really putting the dog on Misty. Tell it Misty, NOW!

Bet the lady in pink is Peggy Cone. JMO

I think that is Peggy Cone. They would never take a female prisoner out there with only male detectives. Peggy has had her teeth into this case since night 1 and will see it through. She would be the only one I believe that would be escorting her to the search scene. MOO
