OK it appears the word "confession" may be referring to the letter that Misty wrote to a brother. There is no known "POLICE CONFESSION" that any news source is reporting nor has the Sheriff issued any such statement that I can find.

I think the, eh heh... confession, is the letter she wrote talking about what happened. That's NOT a confession.

must be, teh. I googled a million different ways and found nothing. What a freaking roller coaster this has been this week.

However, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr.'s attorney released a statement this morning saying that he did not confess anything about Haleigh Cummings' disappearance to his grandmother.

I so want to see these lawyers interviewed live. My doctor will think I am nuts if I ask him for valium for my sleuthing a missing child's case. But, dang it I met Crystal, tried to help search and I looked in her eyes. I can only imagine she is in a living hell right now. Just a heartbreaker.

One thing I took from this interview, which has been quite consistent from LE all along, is that Misty holds the key and has information..she is not the killer but holds the key.

Unbelievable! Perhaps these boys in uniform should meet up at the donut shop and focus on getting their stories straight instead of relying on jail snitches to do their work for them. What ever happened to real detective work?

LOL I came this[] close to writing those very words earlier.

I swear, in the best of weeks, this case gives me headaches from scrunching my face so much. This week, it's full out whiplash. :yow:

:beersign:

If either MC or TC tips led to this search, and nothing was found (basically finding this was yet another frivolous search) I say it is time to start slapping more charges on them, such as:
837.05-1 MAKING FALSE REPORT KNOWINGLY GIVE FALSE INFO TO LEO ALLGD CRIME (Misdemeaner, First Degree, Bond: $504 - which is what MC friend recently charged with!) If it is proven these two are lying, they need to be held accountable! It is obvious (to me) they are trying to lay blame on someone else, and if by God this other person is in fact innocent, what a terrible ploy on their parts!

Okay what I do not understand is why in the world they would bring the entire family in including taking Ron out of jail on a whim, would they really bring them all in to say we are not looking this as a missing persons case anymore but a homicide and it take them 2 hours to tell them this?

This interview IF done after Hardy's presser sounds alot like they are :back:
but why? Did they find some evidence to deem it a homicide but not enough to charge anyone?

Honestly at this point I think they need to put Ron and Misty in an interview room together alone and see what happens. I think at this point he will either " say what the hell did you do with my daughter" and damn near try and kill her and she would confess or look at Ron and say "baby I only did what you wanted me too". Either way I think they would get the answer.

Lieing to authorities is what I think they should have charged them with along time ago and they could have gotten them in jail a long time ago.

What about Granny Hollers who said on NG she gave LE the tip to search the Shell Harbour Road boat ramp location and got a confession from Tommy? Maybe she was hoping she'd get the reward money.

<snipped>.........http://jacksonville.com/news/crime/...nt-make-any-confessions-haleigh-cummings-case

Croslin Jr., who is in jail on unrelated drug charges with her sister and Cummings, submitted to a lie detector test this month and later met with representatives of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, State Attorney's Office and FBI. His attorney said Croslin Jr. then took the investigators to the Shell Harbour Road boat ramp, which became the epicenter for three days of revived searching for Cummings this week.

Jim Werter, who represents Croslin Jr., said in a news release that Croslin Jr. "did not tell Flora Hollars anything about the investigation except to have his attorney contact and meet with him." This is in response to latest claims by various reporting agencies that they have verified that Tommy Croslin confessed to Hollars. He did not," Werter said.

:banghead: I have no idea why LE would call the Haleigh case a homicide and in the same sentence say they have not found any remains.

The only thing I can think of is, what if Lindsey did give LE the boots she claimed she threw out belonging to Tommy and Timmy and the soil was found/ matched the area at the river?

What if LE found some of that soil at the MH where Haleigh went missing as well?

What if LE had sent some type of DNA/Forensic testing out and just now got it back that could prove Haleigh is dead? Decomposition on something taken from the MH maybe? The labs are so backed up in FL it is possible it just took a long time and LE is just holding on to what ever evidence they do have.

I would assume that LE "Must" have something that will prove Haleigh is dead or they would of never announced it.
Maybe the problem they are having now if figuring out who actually killed her since they have several POI?

Didn't Ronald say that there were previous occupants who had died in the MH? It might explain traces of decomposition. If soil from the area was found both on Tommy's shoes and in the MH, his lawyer would be quick to point out that his parents used to live near that soil and he has had plenty of innocent opportunities to both visit those docks and the MH.

I think LE probably have figured out this was a homicide investigation long ago and maybe they now thought enough is enough, we're not going to pretend we're looking for a living child anymore, it's not fair to anybody. They more or less ruled out stranger abduction, they don't seem to be doing much to investigate it as a family abduction so what's left? Ronald voluntarily transferring the child to someone in secrecy, an accident, or a homicide.

They've figured out a small group of people who most probably were involved or know what happened, and if those people talk about it as if it's a homicide it means it probably is. They wouldn't cover for an accident by pretending it's a homicide.

This he-said-she-said about who confessed to whom seems utterly absurd to me considering LE has all their phone conversations on tape and can easily tell who's lying. What's the point?

I think Misty was brought down there to the search to try to scare her into talking. If you look at the video, you don't see her pointing or talking. LE are talking and pointing and I think they are saying "We have what we need little girl. Someone is going to be prosecuted for this. We don't believe you killed Haleigh but until you give us what we need, you are the one we have to prosecute. You need to think long and hard if you can live in prison for the rest of your life." I think she is probably talking today. I HOPE!

Absolutely Gwen. But I think when they had Misty there at the dock they succeeded in getting new information from her. I think the picture that looks like she's crying in it...I think she was crying because SHE knew at that point she was in "big trouble"....she started talking.....Guess what? The day after that we were told they had "persons of interest".

I found this interview with The Bards where Phyllis talks about her parent's death. No one died inside the home that I'm aware of.

“it sits right next door to her own home, and Phyllis Bard began renting it out a few years ago after her father died of diabetes complications and her mother died in a car crash 80 days later.”

15 minutes of fame/infamy? :banghead:

Wouldn't Misty have to go to the dock ON HER OWN WILL? Is LEO allowed to bring her to to the dock without her consent and without her attorney? I believe she volunteered to go. I don't think they were trying to scare her.

I'ma telling ya....smells like Modex. I just can't comprehend how these people involved have been able to keep their mouths shut and no one spilled anything....that's what I don't get. Did they "Forest Gump" their way to the perfect murder???? ((((off scratching her head here)))

multiple definition multi·ple (mul′tə pəl)

adjective

1.having or consisting of many parts, elements, etc.; more than one or once; manifold or complex
2.shared by or involving many
3.many or very many; numerous

4.Elec. designating or of a circuit having two or more conductors connected in parallel

I'm thinking he knows another family is involved other than Misty and members of her family..JMO

What about inculpated? Is that even a word?

But, it can be used against her right?:waitasec:

That was not a confession to the crime of murder. She was implicating Joe. But yes, it can be used against her.
Obviously, Bowling missed the class on being a spokesperson. But when he says Misty was brought down to the site in the spirit of cooperation, I think he means she opted to go along without her lawyer there. Which probably made the detectives more comfortable in putting pressure on her.
None of these LE agencies are going to say much at this point, they can't point fingers until they have some pretty solid evidence against whoever it is they end up charging... it could be several people.
And... this is just a guess, but even if they found parts of the body, bones, teeth, or even clothes... they are not going to tell the public until it's been through the crime lab. JMO.
