Alrighty then Mr. Mason basically dismisses here the Kerley, et at stuff as whack and not does not even want to bother with it.

He does not impress me at all. When is he planning on getting up to speed on this case? Because something happened prior to his coming on the case does not give him the excuse to say at this late stage that he doesn't know anything about it ( Kronk allegations).
He must not have read the prior LE interviews with CA's co workers, he insists that what they said then was not said.
What made CA excited was overhearing the conversation between KC and LA where she admitted Caylee had been kidnapped. Then she went to the phone and called 911- the terrible smell of death finally penetrated her brain and she realized what had really happened.

Sure seems to be a long trip for a short hearing he could probably just want on youtube later in the day...

In today's Status Hearing SA Burdick AGAIN told the Judge they are waiting for the Defense Witness list.
The Original Defense Witness List was filed on Nov 20, 2008 and they incorporated the entire State's Witness List by reference.

The Amended Defense Witness List was filed on Jan 23, 2009, and the only witnesses on the Defense Witness List (so far) who are NOT on the State Witness List are:
- Larry E. Daniel - Guardian Digital Forensics
- Dr. Larry Kobilinsky - John Jay College
- Dr. Henry Lee - Univ of New Haven CT

Both sides have until August 31, 2010 to list all witnesses. The Judge asked Mason today, if the Defense was going to wait until the last minute of the deadline.

I think HHJP is going to be stocking up on Tums, Pepto, and whiskey for that July 15th hearing. I know I would. Just thinking about the defense arguing for the 911 calls AND the TES documents all in one hearing makes my head spin...

My guess would be he is documenting everything that happens in the Casey Anthony case, in preparation for his own future film/media production.
Jim L. and actress Jessica Biel are making a film about a lawyer and the relationship with their serial killer client. I would imagine Jim L. plans to do something along the same lines with the Casey Anthony case and Baez and/or the alleged killer's parents.

page 51 - KC complains about Cindy bringing wrong clothes for her to wear to court. ...."my Mom is going to be escorted to court on Friday, via a friend of hers directly connected to the Today Show." [note: Jim L.??]

page 54 - she met with Meredith Viera, the Today Show or Good Morning America. "She is not well enough to take advantage of seeing me in person on Friday, but can shmooze with the dirtbags the next day?! Seriously?!" .....

The defense has now flip-flopped on claims it has made all along, claims it made that it had evidence that EquuSearch volunteers had already looked for Caylee in the woods where she was found months earlier and found nothing.

That was the cornerstone of their argument that someone put Caylee's body there after Casey was kept behind bars. The defense argued Monday for throwing it out.....

I watched the hearing and I did not hear the defense arguing for 'throwing it out...., in fact I have no idea what the reporter is talking about. KAthi B made some sort of mention of this on the 5 pm news also.

Did I miss something? Does anyone have any idea when the defense argued for throwing something out - and what it was they wanted thrown out?

I heard NOTHING in the Status Hearing today about the Defense throwing out their theory that Caylee's body was not in the woods when TES searchers searched the area. But Mason mumbles so much, I may have missed it? Kathi B. was in the courtroom during the Hearing, and also asked Mason questions after the Hearing, outside the courtroom.

I have listened three times to what Cheney Mason said after court today, and I still don't know what he said about TES and the searches on Suburban.
What does this mean?

"The public has been made to believe that these people searched the exact area where the body was, or tried to and couldn't, the fact is they didn't try to and they didn't-they weren't there and it was impassable at the time. So there's a lot of people mistakin' things of what happened back in the summer of 2008 and what happened in the winter of 2008.

If we were able to establish a reasonable doubt as to when the body got put there, and it comes at a time when KC couldn't have done it then we know conclusively that somebody else had to do it. If we know that somebody else put the body there, it's a question of who, and how and when. So thats all we're pursuing. We don't know-I wasn't there-you weren't there, all I know is that the people who have searched the area, many of them have given different stories aabout the condition of the place. Some say its under water as an excuse of why they couldn't find the body. We have witness say it wasn't under water so that means it wasn't there............................."

Like ThinkTank said, nothing about TES came up during today's status hearing at all. However, Mason gave reporters a 5+ min interview outside court and expounded on it in this WFTV video clip.

I get the impression that Cheney Mason knows he has his hands full trying to make sense of the mess Baez has already made and develop a new defense strategy. It seems they still haven't got a clear plan. He made a smart remark to KB at the end of the interview, but I think he handles the media better than Baez. He answered most of their questions and then everybody left w/o chasing at cross-walks and running down the sidewalks. lol

Cheney was BS'ing but to me he was saying that they are still investigating the disposal of Caylee's remains since there are so many conflicting stories.

He was also asserting that there is uncertainty as to when Caylee went missing, with a strategy to shift the timeline.

These together can create reasonable doubt that SODDI if they can shift things to where KC was not able to dump the remains, etc.

The only option is to remove KC from the scene, like the smell in the car and dispute the timeline, etc.
