The longer it takes to get the Jury seated the more chances there are that everyone in that area will have heard about this case and have made opinions on ICA.

EXACTLY what the DT is hoping/working for. Then will ask for a delay and COV.

Not to derail...but judge can't really just not allow their p. strikes as a rule, can he? He clearly felt their was a race issue, for whatever reason, yesterday. But it is my understanding that both sides can dismiss jurors without giving a reason, as long as it is not a prejudice, right?

"Mercy"
"Cart before the horse"
"Helicopters"

Those are the phrases we need to take shots to. Lol.

We'll need these, then.

FINALLY someone admits they don't know the difference between mitigating and aggravating!

An aside....my kids loved the Mercy Watson books. every time I hear "mercy" this is what I picture....

I'm starting to feel a bit sensitive and even "huffy" over all the slurs about "bloggers"!

Yeah, god forbid anyone have an opinion and express it. People have been doing it for years verbally, but now that it's written...

OOOOoooooh flavored fermented jiggly stuff. I knew I liked you. :)

PJ is not real clear on mitigating or agravating....I wasnt either until I spent this past week watching this process...so she obviously doesnt hang here...lol

I love the big BP in bright yellow marker on HHJP's legal book!

:giggle:

My DH just said, "Hey, he writes his initals, like a little kid writes on school books!"

P.S. - I'm so sorry about your friend! Hang in there! :blowkiss:

I think he didn't allow the defense to strike one today. Hope someone can clear that up.

I'm stuck at work again... all day and night! :banghead: Thank you everyone for all the updates! How many do we have now??

They seem to have replaced "quite frankly" which now only makes an appearance few and far between.

New key word from Jose:

"If it please the court" LOL! Does he think he is now Bash? haha
