I think she was put between the two women so she cannot not flirt with the men. She is constantly flirting, touching, etc when the men are around. She has no use for women. Using the sex abuse defense does not change her behavior and it does not even enter her mind that her behavior should change because she accuses her father and brother of sexual abuse. She just goes on - business as usual - and why are they mad at me for saying they abused me - don't they know this will get me out of prison????
I don't think the possibility of a guilty verdict even comes into her mind except when the judge talks about it and that makes her mad!

I have noticed her reluctance to accept that when they talk about DP or LWOP, they are talking about her. I really think she is living in this little fantasy world and the reality of what is happening will only set in when she is shipped to prison. For now she just sees her self a heroine in a movie. JMHO of course

Yes, but just for the benefit of the jurors. In real life, she could fill that courtroom with her "boys".

I'm noticing this too. There's so many things about her and her personality, that even if you are to take out the murder part, she is just obnoxious. The hand thing is driving me mad. I just can't wrap my brain around it. Wringing, cracking, rubbing, bending, more rubbing, rinse lather repeat.

Also, she mixes it up a bit by grabbing each wrist. :banghead: She's so irritating.

I bet she did none of this before all this happened. This is a distraction thing for her......she's awkward in her own skin and really has no idea how to just sit and be still. Even when she does, you get the sense it's forced.

AND- chewing on her nails. I've seen that too. GROSS. She's a mess, this one.

I have to say I would have so many ticks and twitches you would need to strap me to the chair. I would have chewed my nails and started on my toes if I was in her place.

The thing with her hands is very Lady Macbeth isn't it? I remember reading a poster on another forum long ago (before the body was found IIRC) whose brother had gone to high school with LA. This gal had sat behind ICA in some class and mentioned that she was always fooling with and admiring her hands, commenting on how small and fine-boned they were. She thought it was hilarious. I imagine it might have been for a semester, but she is going to drive a jury nuts with her self-obsessiveness.

We can hope and pray all we want! In fact, I will send out some extra hope vibes every day of the trial that she will take the stand. But if they put her up there, I would agree she has had ineffective assistance of counsel. Of course, at the moment, I don't believe so, but when she only had JB I thought so...a lot. It would be the most foolish thing they could do at this point. Just as dumb as sending someone into the woods with a camera to look for the body that "should be right here."

But hope...I'm in on that one! I would record it and watch it over and over.

Do I think she has reason? You bet! Is she entitled? Absolutely (to use her word). Strapping to a chair would be the least thing I'd need. Dope me up.........put me in a padded room.

I just don't quite understand the source. She doesn't appear nervous, scared or anxious.....just sort of awkward. I guess it's hard for me to explain my reaction to it. It just does not strike me as a coping skill for this trial. More of a "wish I was pole dancing" sort of look........ Just wants to be somewhere else cuz this is all boring- kinda look.

DH has, in the past, not fully appreciated all the time I've spent glued to WS. But oddly enough, he was mildly curious with Monday's jury selection on IS. His interest has grown each day until finally today he watched the entire day's live streaming with me, sharing comments back and forth. This is a 180 change in his attitude so you can imagine my shock when he turned to me and said, "You know, I could have been on this jury but you have "tainted" me." (Never mind that we live 100s of miles away!) :floorlaugh: :loveyou:

I wouldn't be impressed. Everyone knows that the Superior One resides in prisons and jails.

Regardless of what one believes, most find religion in the justice system. It would be so fake and obvious in her position. MOO

The Judge said we will start Monday with the Perry Plan. When he has 15 jurors, he is going to bring them in and swear them in. They better strike before he swears them, because once they are sworn, they are in. If they strike one, they will replace them one by one with the rest of the 67 they held over. Right?

I am guessing that her mannerisms are manifestations on the OCD spectrum. The constant wringing of the hands, checking her wrists, her blouse, her hair...I believe reflect the stress of ICA's inability to control her environment or experiences. How her narcisscism comes out may have some part in this also. What we know about her last few years shows that she was ALL about control. What she wanted to do, When she wanted to do it, and with Whom she wanted to be. My guesses, only.
