Well, while I agree this is not the case HERE...abuse causes very inappropriate behavior with the opposite sex in many cases, to either extreme. Some vics end up being very sexually active, shall we say...or feel a need to attract the attention of every male in sight. So if the defense goes that route, I could see them finding an expert to say something like that, to explain her behavior...

I'm sure I would too :floorlaugh:......but watching it is different. Seeing it from this perspective is frazzling my nerves. It's so distracting.
Do I think she has reason? You bet! Is she entitled? Absolutely (to use her word). Strapping to a chair would be the least thing I'd need. Dope me up.........put me in a padded room.

I just don't quite understand the source. She doesn't appear nervous, scared or anxious.....just sort of awkward. I guess it's hard for me to explain my reaction to it. It just does not strike me as a coping skill for this trial. More of a "wish I was pole dancing" sort of look........ Just wants to be somewhere else cuz this is all boring- kinda look.

Yes, watching is very different for sure. Like the other day when she kept trying to plaster down her bangs over and over and over again.

I would need to be medicated too, almost need to be just from watching this all week. I have no idea how I will last through the whole thing.

Regardless of what one believes, most find religion in the justice system. It would be so fake and obvious in her position. MOO

I feel the same way. In addition to the Superior One residing in prisons and jails, it has also been my experience that every time there is a really big case everyone is always shocked because they were usually "active in the church" or "A great Boy Scout leader." Remember Melissa Huckaby? And with the beads, especially after the Catholic church coming out and saying that the abused boys were willing gay participants... Then you have the people who are uber religious and if they think she is guilty might be more inclined to hold it against her that she is claiming religious...ness. I think she is better off without the beads.

I do wonder how resentful, if at all, ICA is about the blood money she shelled out to Baez - it does not seem to have bought her much -

check case - had to plead guilty
all motions - majority denied and most evidence harmful to me me me is coming in.
the fact that he does not visit like he used to - maybe she sees through the excuses, maybe she doesn't want to see him anymore(although I can't imagine that)

At the end of the day, JB is all she has. Unless RB has convinced her someone would be willing to marry her while she is serving time. jmo

I have a very strong religious beliefs and I hope for her sake she does find God in jail/prison. I mean really find Him not just tote the Bible around and attend services to break up the monotony. That is not going to lessen her sentence and the price she will have to pay for the actions she has done.

As for now if all of a sudden she started to bring the Bible and rosary beads it would seem fake indeed. She does not act like someone who has found God already and sees the wretchedness of her crimes. She is in denial.

I have to add that I think ICA will be comfortable no matter what her fate is. She lives in her own fantasy world.

Ok, you are correct, a narcissist lives in a fantasy world in their head. They can adapt to any situation.

Scott Peterson, Drew Peterson & Casey are all narcissists. Scott seems to have adapted as has Drew. Drew continues to be the comedian while in jail awaiting his trial.

Casey is a complete & total example of a narcissist. She also only cries when the charges against her are read, because it is about HER.

People are disposable to narcissists, even a small child, a baby, doesn't matter, if they are in the way of the narcissist doing what they want to do, they are disposable.

Just as her dad & brother are now disposable in her life, she will throw them under the bus to save her own sorry narcissist rear end!

Thank you. Her iciness towards her former sweetheart is pretty evident.
She sure does hold a grudge. This is the one guy who is literally fighting for her life, and she refuses to acknowledge him. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face, as Grandma used to say.

Also, I really like the way <modsnip name calling> sits right up there in Casey's personal space,
right over her shoulder. Way to go. That must bug her Highness to no end.

I see what you're saying. But one can be promiscuous without having been abused, correct? And given ICA's history of lies, I still don't see any chance of success with that particular defense. IMO.

There are some people who do turn to God ONLY when they are facing hard times. My church was talking about that just recently at a bible study.
As as Casey is concern, I can't say for sure if she bringing a bible is just for show, but I do hope the jury will see past that.

That is one symptom of a narcissist. Their priorities are that of a teenager. Narcissists do not mature mentally past teen years or even younger.

Here are their priorities:

Their toys ( internet, Ipod, cell phone etc.)
Their car
Their partying
Sex
And many material things (makes them feel important, even if the material possessions are cheap crap).

It is hard for me to grasp that there are people like that, narcissisic. When you aren't one it is hard to fathom that some people operate like that. I know there was some debate the other day if a large book that was on the table or not was a Bible. She certainly does not bring it herself. If it is one the DT would be bringing it with them. The only thing so far that I have seen her carry is her sweater.

She's already found God, she discusses her religious leanings interminably in her jail house letters - up to and including God communicating to her through her sneezes. I kid you not.
