That comment so bothers me because Caylee was 2... and Casey always said she was a brat. So it seems like JB is almost aknowledging that 2 year olds are that way...

Something's really bothering me about jury selection. Maybe this has already been covered and if so I apologize for the repeat.
I can not for the life of me understand why both the Pros and the Def spend over 2 hours questioning prospective jurors and then after all of that time start questioning them about their Twitter and Facebook accounts or their prior arrests or whatever. Why isn't this brought up at the very beginning? Wasting all of the courts time like this makes me furious!
Does either side know what pro jurors will be questioned ahead of time? If so, why don't they do their Googling at night or before court starts? <end rant>

She's already found God, she discusses her religious leanings interminably in her jail house letters - up to and including God communicating to her through her sneezes. I kid you not.

Oh yeah. Wasn't she planning on doing a 'Traveling RV Ministery?' She was going to travel the back roads, ministering to troubled girls. Oh, and she was going to adopt an Irish baby or two, to travel with her. Seriously.

If you want a true insight into ICA's mind you have to read those letters. I think they are all here transcribed somewhere but a dose of coffee or a strong beverage is required before, during and after.

Now my curiosity is peaked. Can you point me in the direction as to where these letters are?

TIA

I think because they do the general questioning at the end based on how the judge has it laid out- first is pretrial publicity, then penalty, then general.

Today JA was speaking with Juror " I can't remember her number", she was the one who had a 2 year old G-daughter who lived in New Hamshire, he referred to Caylee as the victim, after awhile AF said somethng, they all go over to speak with the judge, side bar I believe it's called, they all come back, and then JA is referring to Caylee as the alleged victim. What does that mean, does that mean Caylee is alive? Unless I missed it, I had not heard Caylee referred to as an alleged victim ???????

I know there was some debate the other day if a large book that was on the table or not was a Bible. She certainly does not bring it herself. If it is one the DT would be bringing it with them. The only thing so far that I have seen her carry is her sweater.

Maybe she thinks that is the Bible.

I was confused about what happened. I thought AF objected because JA referred to Caylee as "murdered"...I didn't know it was because he called her a victim....:waitasec:

They all find God in jail/prison, IMO.

Amen to that.

What's even as bad is when the prison ministers start calling the victims family asking are you going to stop his parole, you know he is a christain now. SO, he still killed my brother.

I'm a bit confused on the procedure in Florida for seating a jury. I'll put my questions in red.

As of today, there's 12 potential jurors who will come back for round 3, which is scheduled for Monday. From what I understand, both the state and defense will question these 12 jurors for a third time and will then, on an individual basis, either keep or dismiss the potential juror with each side allowed up to 10 dismissals.

What happens if at the end of round 3, four out of the twelve, are dismissed?

After round one, there was about 68 potential jurors that haven't been questioned for a second time. Will they draw from that jury pool to try to get another 4 jurors and 8 alternates?

I originally thought they would try to get about 30 potential jurors in round 2, and then go on to round 3, and select and dismiss until they had a jury of 12 jurors and 8 alternates.

Don't care about age (which was not that young, she IS/WAS an adult at time of murder), sexual abuse (many have endured and did not go on to MURDER), or accident (no one will flipping believe that angle), she killed her little baby girl. Time to pay the piper. And, I make NO amends for that.

I have missed all the jailhouse letters. Through her sneezes! Well not to poke fun but he does show up on toast sometimes. At least I hear He does.

Seriously she says she has found God? And she still wants to dig in her feet and keep this going. In most faiths repentence is a big part of your changed life.

I'm quickly slipping OT here, but this convo reminds me of the book,The Shack,by William P. Young.

Part mystery, part religious (the father of a missing child, presumed murdered ,meets God ,a Black woman who cooks,Jesus,a homely looking guy in overalls and the Holy Spirit).
Very interesting read .

I think she was put between the two women so she cannot not flirt with the men. She is constantly flirting, touching, etc when the men are around. She has no use for women. Using the sex abuse defense does not change her behavior and it does not even enter her mind that her behavior should change because she accuses her father and brother of sexual abuse. She just goes on - business as usual - and why are they mad at me for saying they abused me - don't they know this will get me out of prison????
I don't think the possibility of a guilty verdict even comes into her mind except when the judge talks about it and that makes her mad!

I think it's going to gradually sink in that she might be found guilty when she sees the procession of her former friends all taking the stand and telling about her lies and behavior and she sees all the evidence against her.

I've been questioning a lot of this too!

Last night before they left HHJP said that he wanted 15 - that tomorrow (meaning Sat. - today) that when they got 15 he was going to line them up and swear them in. He told both the State and the DT to figure out if they wanted to strike any of them and they would be given the chance then. He also emphasized that once they were sworn in - then they could NOT be stricken.

So, today comes - we get to 12. I read somewhere that HHJP wanted to swear the 15 in at 7PM tonight. THAT didn't happen.

I'm thinking - Monday he'll bring the 12 in (and tell them to bring their bags with them) - they will be sworn in - and any strikes will be made then. The rest of the day will continue like we have been - and hopefully he'll get 3, 4, maybe even 5 more depending on if there are any strikes. He'll swear them in and they'll go get their bags and another charter bus will take them in.

Remember he said either Tues or Wed that he had a bus leaving on Monday - he said he would tell that one pj what time but he didn't want the time announced due to media. So, he already has a bud on Mon. and these 12 will go.

Gotta give him credit - he just may start this right on time. He said he would.

Caylee is not the alleged victim, she is the victim, we know she's dead....
Totally disagree with JP!!! Casey is the alleged murderer, of course we all know she IS the murderer............
