IIRC...FLORIDA law...lawyer can't withdraw....
maybe wife or kid in hospital, an emergency? I can see the court not able to talk about something personal, and the judge upset over any delay.
Motion argued by Fryer -
"waa waa we don't like how you're doing the jury selection, here's some case law on judges abusing their powers - you know kinda like you"
Denied
Pot juror questioned
Side bar
Recess
Side bar
Pot juror tossed out by state (although I thought he was a smoothy)
Judge Perry advising being tossed out of court by end of today/ then told by Judge Perry they were to be given till Saturday
Opening remarks to start Monday at 9 am IF there is a a jury
Long long long lunch
Somewhere in there Baez told us all what a great guy he is because when he took this case he swore, like for realz, pinkie swears and everything, that he would get ICA a fair trial.
We all got our hankies out, it was quite touching, ahem...
Return from lunch
Judge Perry says did you discuss that matter with your client
holds his hand up as if to say, easy, easy, don't go too far
Mason - yes we did your honor.
JPerry - court in recess till 830am
END of Day - all hell breaks out on forum
Apparently Baez went home at lunch, was seen driving away all other defense attorneys in having lunch at cafeteria - Baez did not come back to court.
Okay, I was just thinking if for some reason, JB is off the case - that might present a problem if none of the other lawyers would not agree to being lead counsel. Mason has already said he does not have the stamina for it. And Finnell has been concentrating on the penalty phase. And Ms Simms...well...Ms Simms....
If it was an illness, that would not have to be so secret...
wait a minute
Yesterday when DT went into closed room with ICA she came out crying..you could tell she was crying, this is when the DT came out and used their next to last strike.
Then this morning that big motion the judge denied
Then recess (which was late)
Then they come back and long lunch
MOO JB wanted on the record that he was only doing what he thought he should do to give his client a fair trial.
ICA was crying this tells me maybe she didn't want JB gone, so I don't think she fired her
This leaves open to having to do with GA and CA lawsuit recently?
The bar?
Or, perhaps JB fell on his sword over something their investigator did. remember all of a sudden he showed up in court? What if the state found out and brought it to the judge in behind doors. What if that last juror, it was learned he was a stealth Juror and the DT got caught so JB fell on his sword.

They can ask, but they must continue to represent the client until the judge approves.
Ok wait, I just reviewed the judge, he didn't look made, he was shaken, anxious too, I hope those are the right words I choose. Look at his body as he was about to stand, the face, the hands, he was shaken. Something is bad.
