I noticed, too, KC is very animated when she talks as if the person she is speaking with is deaf. Her hands and arms are very expressive which tells me it's an act for the camera. What will happen in court? She'll be writing a mile a minute with stories of her version of the testimony given by witnesses, proking and proding her attorneys to look at what I wrote. They are going to have to wind her down before Monday. jmo

I agree and have thought the same thing. Especially when she is arranging and re-arranging the stuff on the desk in front of her.

If Baez has time to do that 7 hour interview then he has time to get his case together - end of!

Mason and Baez need to quit with the whining and get on with the job, if they hadn't been such arrogant, disagreeable so and so's who have tried to slander them every chance they've had then the SA's might be more willing to work with them.

Baez you might have a short memory but I've got a long one and I WON'T forget you trying to get the SA's thrown off the case months ago - although you weren't man enough to argue the motion yourself you got Kenny Baden up to do it instead.

Baez, you reap what you sow.

One thing I did notice about Ann Finnell is that every time the Grand Jury indictment is read out she always runs her hand over her face as if in worry, distress or concern - those charges bother her big time.

I think any mother would cry at the very mention of her child's name after death.
I know people who have mourned forever.
How can ICA sit there day after day when her baby is described as murdered
and act like someone is talking about a weather report???
I will never understand the no bonding ICA seems to have with everyone in her life,
esp. dear baby Caylee Marie her own baby!

Just had to turn HLN off...:banghead:.....LKB was on, as Vinnie tried to get her to reveal a little DT strategy, she acted like the whole trial is equivaent to a new movie premier and she;s the only one who has access to the spoiler surprise ending.....laughing, ha , ha, JB is playing close to chest, ha, ha, giggle, coy,coy.......and Vinnie playing along....:banghead:

PLEASE MEDIA....can you try to remember this is about an innocent 2 year old that was killed and dumped like trash.....this trial is about her death, not a fecking movie premier...both their attitudes were very unprofessional.....JMO

Yes I know. It is beyond horrible and sick, and disgusting! Wonderful post..........

IMO the ONLY reason she can sit through it emotionless is because she is guilty.

why does AF ALWAYS say....Generally, its the family of the victim that gives an impact statement......what does she mean about "Generally"??? This says to me that it will be someone other than family...no?

Maybe they will have someone from the church that put on the memorial? I can't picture George or Cindy standing in front of their darling daughter saying how much they miss Caylee or how her murder has affected them.

The court system is slanted toward the defendant. Usually they won't allow any photos of the person who was murdered to be shown in court. They will show autopsy photos, but none of the person before the murder.

Some courts will not even allow any emotional reaction from the victims side and I have security throw them out of court because they cried or showed a shocked expression.

Maybe the Prosecutor will give a good victim impact statement if no one else does in behalf of Caylee.

edit: The defense wants to make the victim seem like it's an object, just a body and not a person. Sometimes they will even try to have the victims family barred from the courtroom so that it does not appear that the victim has anyone on their side.

You are so right, camcneishg, I hadn't thought about that in just that context before. I would absolutely be floored if the Anthonys were allowed to speak for Caylee, and during that time only spoke on Casey's behalf. I believe HHJP would step in and tell them to stay on topic, but it is going to be a mockery of this court and poor little Caylee's memory if her grandparents are allowed to use one second of Caylee's time as Casey's time.

I am hoping that great-grandmother, Shirley will step up, and possibly Rick. I don't know if the Grunds would be allowed to do so or Tim Miller or anyone else.

During the Christian/Newsom trials in TN, the victim impact statements had to be proffered for the judge to approve before they were allowed to read them in court. Does FL law support this rule?

omg - did you just see that look on Jeff's face? LOL

Please please please someone tell me that you got a shot of Jeff reacting to Mason????!!!!
_________

Quoting myself bad form, but for the life of me I can not find this in any of the videos and I'm hoping someone got a screen cap. It was right after lunch and Mason had got up to say something about the judge using the word "unfortunately" and Jeff's reaction to him was a thing of beauty.

Please, if anyone got a screen cap or can direct me to a video it would be greatly appreciated.

:)

Those statements by the family made me cry every time.

I asked AZ in the lawyer thread. Apparently they do have to be approved by the court. Also, you can't curse or threaten to kill the perp and the judge could impose time restraints, ect.

And only family are allowed to give a VIS, according to the same thread.

Hope this helps. :)

(Covering head to avoid injury from objects that may thrown).....I have to admit that AF is the only one on the DT that I don't have a big problem with at these proceedings...I believe she sincerely is morally opposed to the DP and it shows.....I think she would actually feel personal pain if one of her clients was put to death. Of course, ICA can blissfully sit through all this, cos JB has promised her he'll get all these charges dismissed, afterall she was only arrested on a fecking whim////:maddening: JMO
