Maybe she just figured, and Jose convinced her, that GA would fall on his sword for her. Admit he abused her and that Caylee drowned. Maybe she is saying that G and C told her to go with the Zanny story and if it didn't work....they would tell the truth to set her free. 3 yrs. in jail for nothing.

Another clue: When Cindy said that Cayley's play mailbox in the yard originally belonged to Casey, Casey shook her head 'no' with a serious, look on her face. Interesting.

It's always appeared that Casey was very jealous of her own baby girl and the attention she was getting from her parents. This is just another example.

When CA says she quit looking for Zanny 6 weeks ago.....at first, I thought she was saying that now she knows that Caylee drowned....but, actually, I think when she was told the details of ICA's new set of lies...the abuse...and the drowning...she knew. Knew for certain that ICA is responsible for Caylee being dead.

I think it was because Casey was now admitting there was no Zanny.

I can only imagine how betrayed they felt by that tidbit alone.

Oh I truly hope KC is delusional enough to think she can flim flam her way around JA or LDB for that matter!! She has lost control of herself-today proved it. She can't hide behind text messages (like she did for 31 days) on the witness stand. I think if she takes the stand she might spontaneously combust!

i messed up trying to thank you for this post and i posted it twice, but its the first scenario that I totally agree with, especially the part about ica making the huge mistake of alienating her two biggest supporters, the mom and dad that KNOW her little secrets.

that was a fatal mistake. but not the first she has ever made, unfortunately.

I agree completely. In his opening, JB just glossed right over from "George holding a dead, drowned Caylee" in the first few minutes into an excuse for every, single thing that came up during discovery.

Perhaps if he had spent time explaining the accident and events immediately before and after he might have raised some doubt, but no, he insisted into turnng it into an absurd story that he cannot support with testimony or evidence. Therefore, imo, the entire story will not be believed.

Casey has always been the manipulator, the power player. I just do not see her as some zombie from parental abuse of any kind. She has found a way to get everything she wants without working, without responsibility, without one thought for anyone else. Cindy's family has seen her spoil this girl for years.
ETA IMO Cindy and George want her to be exactly where she is.

ETA KC Lost all power when she killed Caylee.IMO they know she deserves to be right where she is.
If she had even hinted at abuse to Cindy...George would not only have been out of the house but in jail. But it suited Casey to have them both there to play off each other...to con and collect from. Daddy to clean her car every weekend. To run her errands. Grandma to rip off with bad checks. And Mom who would ALWAYS take her side.

If Caylee had drowned, Casey could have just told them anything and in days Cindy would be blaming the pool manufacturer. But Cindy would not forgive that precious little face wrapped in duct tape, reeking of chloroform. So Casey needed Caylee to be in that swamp...until enough time had passed for a story she COULD pass off.

Reading these emails again...THAT is a real picture of the real family dynamic. Rick Pleesa doesn't have to guess. He and his parents have seen Caylee bloom into a monster before their very eyes.

This is no powerless abused child. This is THE power player of that family...who became the chief abuser.

The only reason ICA had any power was because Cindy knew if KC left the home Caylee would not be taken care of properly. I am sure anytime George or Cindy gave her any trouble or questioned her to closely ICA would threaten to leave home with Caylee.IMO that is why Cindy catered to ICA.

You hit it out of the park with this post Strawberry - I said somewhere that I bet CA shared more of her relationship with GA than she should have - they do love to talk. ICA picke up all that detail and used it to pit the two of them against each other, in particular to favor herself. And it worked, for a while. But there is a line...ICA doesn't know that since she is incapable of moral reasoning, but there is a line.

I don't think Baez quite gets this. I really think he knows GA did not molest ICA, but I think his client advised him that CA would stick with her and kick GA to the curb (just like she's always wanted - she can manipulate and steal from Cindy). If CA abandoned GA, then the abuse would seem plausible. Funny, though. It didn't happen.

I never thought I would be saying this, because I have disliked Cindy with such intensity I was truly ashamed of myself. I still don't trust her, but.....I've been thinking about Casey and sociopaths in general. I have had one that I know of in my life. I'm really starting to wonder if there are really 'people' born without a soul or conscience. I won't go into the spiritual aspects of this, but I'm wondering if, no matter how good an upbringing they get, it doesn't make any difference.

With all due respect that is exactly my point. How did she become those things? Sometimes parents feel guilty and let the child run rampant and get away with murder, this time is was literally murder. I don't believe people are born sociopaths or spoiled brats. So how did she become such a murderous lunatic?

Anyway, I'd still convict her because she is a grown woman, but these things don't just happen in a vacuum.

I've had the "privilege" to become acquainted with quite a few "spoiled brats" and a couple of "sociopaths" in my time but none that chose to stay a child, act like a child and replace the child they brought into this world to become the "child" again. To my knowledge, they all became adults and made adult decisions to make their way in the world. She obviously knew what she needed to do but instead she "pretended" to do them all. If she can do that, she is capable of making her way in the world. Her parents over-indulged her as a child.....yes,......but I don't think it was intended to be for the rest of her life!

WOW - I figured that was the gist of it. I love DCS You're right;I'm wrong (she knows that's the only way to get ICA to cycle down. And then of course the last bit by ICA. Oh yeah (ps ICAs idea of abuse is being held accountable for her actions)

Moreover, if ICA was really talking about abuse - why does she say CA has had 3 years to protect her - hells bells CA has had 25 years. ICA thought momma would sacrifice GA for her. She's talking about CA saving her *advertiser censored** not being abused!
