Can we clear this up here since people are jumping all over the place.

A lot of those terms were not typed in searches, but links provided by Wiki & Google for terms related to the initial search.

A lot of people link hop on these sites when they're bored. It's almost like 6-degrees of Kevin Bacon, but with search results. You search for 1 thing, the site "recommends" further reading, and you click, then click, then click, and then you are somehow reading about something completely unrelated to the initial search.

The witness testified that these terms were auto-generated, not specifically searched for.

Brought this quote along with me from the other thread.....

And it's important to note that the witness testified that these WERE NOT searches, but auto generated links that came from the initial searches on chloroform. You click on one, and then more are generated that are "like" the one you just clicked on. So chloroform will link to suffocation/inhalation, that link will link to something else, and so on and so on.

Since a lot of these were auto generated I don't' think this is the slam dunk many were expecting.

I think that the fact that she clicked THROUGH them makes them suspicious...she kept going and going and going through all sorts of death scenarios. That's creepy as all get out. I think this piece of evidence is much like everything else - just by itself it isn't a smoking gun but when piled up with all the other evidence, it sure is a bit of a problem for ICA's drowning theory.

KC accused GA of "sexual" abuse though. I don't remember physical abuse being an issue.

will state finish their case by Friday (06/10/11) like they told the judge last friday?

I don't think so...I think they still have about 20 witnesses...crime scene, bring back yuri to tie it all together, etc..

I do not see them wrapping up for at least another week to 10 days - your thoughts?

I actually have tears in my eyes right now. And I am NOT a weeper. Might have to walk away for a bit.

There are not too many trauma incidents that involve the word "inhalation"

I hope the jury does not get too confused. These neck breaking, head injury things may not have been aimed towards the child at all. I think she was looking at ways to get rid of her parents, and inherit the house.

I am afraid that they might be losing soe of the jury on this...to be honest, I've waited for it all week, thinking it would be more clear, when it just seems even more confusing to me....maybe it's because I can't quite follow this guy.

Brief aside, I had some posts disappear...not sure if I'm breaking any rules (thought I was doing okay!) but if I am, I'm sorry. :dunno:

Me too. I was fighting to pay attention to him even though I actually wanted to know the information. This has happened to me in grad school as well - a favorite subject delivered in such dry monotone I had to force myself to listen. hate that.

I just had to search: Middle_Meningeal Artery

I missed ruptured spleen.....OMG heard chest trauma and internal bleeding....could JB argue these were injuries obtained in car accident? but hand to hand searches and self defense is pretty damning

This was my understanding, too. I wish I knew what was going on right now.

Ummm. Look what wiki says under Reality Based Self Defense:

To be acquitted of any kind of physical harm-related crime (such as assault and battery and homicide) using the self-defense justification, one must prove legal provocation, meaning that one must prove that he was in a position in which not using self-defense would most likely lead to death or serious injuries.

I think she was planning on killing the parental units, then claiming self defense. You know, from all that abuse.

No. They said 6/17

So there are people who don't think this points to premeditation...given what we already know??

Isn't it possible that she saw the Chloroform post on RM's MySpace, researched it and got scared that he may do that to her? Not that I believe it, but those searches (and not all of them were even searches), could be placed in 1000 different contexts. Someone even mentioned GA moving back in (self-defense?).

JMO, though.

They said the 17th (which is my birthday - that's why I remember it) not the 10th.

Just an example of how much one can link hop on Wiki. All the blue highlighted words are links to Wiki pages on that subject.

Help me out. I don't think it makes sense. If Casey googled chloroform, how would it link to "internal bleeding", "neck injury", etc, etc. And he mentioned that these were all Wikiepdia sites. Which also has a search option. I don't see the correlation between "internal bleeding" and "chloroform" for them to appear in the same results on a page in GoogleSearch. When googling Chloroform, none of the keywords the witness mentioned appeared in the results, or a wikipedia link there. She could've gone on wikipedia and continued searching there. But I really don't think her computer kept "feeding" her different links that matched. And she just sat there and let it all played out. She had to search and find and click. Someone explain it to me, if I misunderstood the witness.

And the "like" searches Google generates are chloroform related. I just googled, and this is what they suggested I might've been looking for:
buy chloroform
purchase chloroform
chloroform recipe
make chloroform
chloroform uses
chloroform effects
chloroform msds

Nothing about "internal bleeding" etc.
