I live in South Florida, heavy population, and have seen them in parking lots munching on carrion. See them circling in the air all the time.

I live in SW Florida and vultures are everywhere!! At least once a week there are a dozen or so sitting on top of the roofs of my apartment complex. I've seen them eating off roadkill in the middle of the roads that are pretty heavily traveled. I've seen them near dumpsters in parking lots, etc...

It is a very frequent encounter for me and I live in the 6th largest county in Florida.

Is a lawyer like a priest? They are exempt from telling if they know someone is gulity of a crime? In other words, if JB knows ICA killed Caylee because ICA admitted it to him, is he obligated to tell the court?

No, in fact a lawyer CAN'T tell the police, unless the client permits it. Unreal.

"Check is in the mail" unbelieveable quote of the day from JB.
JB gives me a laugh a day!

Here too. It's kind of amusing to see vultures in the middle of a busy road...snag a bite...fly up in the air...land...rinse and repeat lol.

I think it was alright because Casey was the last one seen with her and she is the one the state is accusing of putting the duct tape on her.

Yes, but they did not need to add that. It is like overkill in a way. And my problem with it is that it gives the DT too much ammo in appeals. That superimposition was admittedly just 'speculation.' So adding Casey's face is a leap. I do not think they should have done that. imoo

I have never thought where the remains were found is where they were first put. I believe she was in further a bit maybe behind that big log they were talking about but with the storm and the area being underwater for a bit, as the water either dried up or went from a bit of standing water to a flooded area, the bags where "floated" or sort of dragged with the motion of the receeding water. I don't think they moved far, but I do think they moved downhill more towards the street.

I don't think Casey just threw it all and ran. I think she was hidden under or behind some big fallen logs and by the grace of God was moved closer to the street so she could be found.

That would still account for the body being in the area that it was found from late Sept or so on till Dec.

Everything about Casey tells me she didn't want Caylee found, and was SHOCKED when she was, she thought she hid her better than that, but Mother Nature worked her magic. I was honestly surprised when she was found, I never ever thought they'd find her.

------------
n the very first taped interview after Caylee was found TM. said it was possible the remains were placed further in and floated outward with the hurricane waters. I remember thinking of Conner P. at that time. I think you are right on Doodle.:seeya:

So with the graphic of the area are we going to get the TES searchers next week? (I am tired and not sure that was the right term but hopefully you all know what I mean)

BTW, I absolutely loved the way Dr. NH handled JB...loved his facial expressions.

I'm not a lawyer so I know nothing about the consequences of KC being in that superimposed image, but she wasn't added. They used a picture of KC and Caylee together. That picture probably had Caylee's full face at an angle and resolution that best fit with the skull.

Ya know wbg, I always thought the same thing; but the last video taken of precious little Caylee, I thought her hair looked as though it hadn't been brushed from the night before & seemed like she was a little bit cranky and/or tired during one portion of the video.

Caylee looked not up to par on FD? To me she looks sweet buy her hair looks thinner for some reason on FD. I think she looked tired in several pics taken at TL's (I know she didn't stay there) and in the pic where her jaw is askew. But she never looked like Linus - kids do get messy. Caylee had dark circles under her eyes in the later pictures imo. To this day she looks younger to me in the FD pics than she does in some other more recent photos - like the pic of her on her front sidewalk when she's in her swimsuit, she looks older than she did on FD to me. :waitasec:

I'm still thinking that KC may have gotten into Crystal Meth or something soon before Caylee died. But that's a whole nother can of worms.

If I was a Lawyer and found I was supposed to keep that kind of secret I think it would dawn on me that I was in the wrong profession. I would not want any part of it. Justice for the victim, and punishment for the offender is more important than anything the Bar could do ... IMO
This all seems acceptable to the Lawyers we hear from though, they say if they're guilty then they don't want to know- please! It seems very warped that anyone could defend a child murderer/abuser who admits to it.

My earlier question was not answered, was the area the remains were found searched in July or August??

They probably should have edited the other faces out of the photo IMO.

Can anyone give me a brief summary of what went on in court after Dr. Haskell. I had to take the Elder Feline Queen to the vet, and missed everything from that point on.

P.S. Off topic, but for those wondering, Jezebel came home with us today. Mommy (and vet) decided it was not her time. She's resting comfortably on our bed as I type. :)

IMO -- they are always actively searching for their next meal. But when you see them repeatedly circling in a specific target area and/or gaining a few other searchers, you can pretty much assume there is a dead body, whether animal or not.

Need to get a carrion bird specialist on here.

Here in California we have a very rare bird called the California Condor. There's a sanctuary about 20 miles from me where it's hoped they'll breed as there's so few left. They are a large vulture.

A few years ago I saw three large birds circling between my yard and my neighbor's. I yelled at her to come look. We both noted that each of these birds had some sort of tag hanging off one leg. My neighbor said, "I wonder if those are condors?" My husband said, "they only circle when something has died." We watched for a few minutes and then went back to our yard work. A few minutes later, we heard our neighbor scream. She had walked to the back of her yard and found her cat dead. It had been attacked by something (probably a coyote) and left. That's why the condors were circling.

I later called the California Condor Sanctuary and described the birds we saw and the tags they had. I was told that those were indeed California Condors and to consider ourselves lucky.....most people don't see them in the wild.

You are right there..but two points I'd liketo make..First most Defense lawyers dont usually ask nor do the want to know IF THEY DID IT..but however for some reason they find out for sure and is confirmed ..The do NOT have to inform the courts or LE for that matter..BUT..Huge BUT They cannot knowingly then suborn perjury ( subornation of perjury is an enditable offence)..so has to be very careful in questioning of witnesses to ellicit false testimony ( including his client)....walking the tightrope..

Having said that..JB's opening statement is not considered testimony..so he can say and promise whatever he want..tho better be able to prove that..and I think that where JB went too far with his horse puckey claims..LOL

However, there was a case up here ( Canada-Karla Holmolka/Bernardo Case) were defense lawyer got charged and convicted of Obstruction of justice..so all I can say JB better be very careful!!:rocker:

Bill Sheaffer commented on the photos/3d Imaging yesterday, he said they were not gruesome nor inflammatory but did help those viewing to see how the duct tape (one piece) would have fit over Caylee's nose and mouth, and were instructive.
On the other hand, as all the commentators have stated, this is a Murder trial, the photos are not going to be nice, but they must be seen
