At this point, I hope a mistrial occurs. I also hope in the interim between now and the next trial, the As are prosecuted for obstruction of justice. Of course, they would have to bring them from the jail each day to testify at the next trial, but their testimony would be less credible, right?

Nope.

I have a kind of ex-friend who is just like these people. Never follow through, no
consequences, etc. She has 4 children. Child #1 got into late teens, massive trouble maker. Child #2, same thing. Friend is now not only raising baby from child #2, but also the other child of the mother of this baby. Child #3 is now hitting late teens, but I haven't been around, so have no idea how she has turned out. I do know, to this day, my friend makes no correlation between raising her kids with no teaching, no learning, no discipline, etc., and how they have turned out.
