My guess is this is something personal having to do with CM...a gravely ill family member or something along those lines and he has to take a leave of absence. All the body language and no court reporter at the initial sidebar pointed to a personal matter, IMO.

Why would he had been over heard yelling in judge chambers if it was that?

MO for what it's worth:

Baez will not quit or be fired by KC
Mason will not quit or be fired by KC
GA has a cold and has been blowing his nose all week---no crying today
KC will not plea at this point
Baez and Mason are not above doing anything to get a mistrial

JA and LDB are too smart to do anything to jeopardize the case

No. For something personal like that the reactions among all would be different. KC would be doing her fake pity/sympathy face and not her pouty face. And CM would not be shouting at JB and ICA back in chambers.

Honestly (and only half joking) my first thought was CM approached the court to declare "your honor I was just diagnosed with Alzheimers". But the surrounding actions and reaction just don't add up.

More and more I think that CM either reported some sort of questionable JB act, or simply he wants out and has requested to be allowed to depart.

My guess is that it has something to do with the Motion that accuses the United States of America Department of Defense of conspiring against ICA that the DT filed yesterday.

As if they've got nothing better to do.

I missed yesterday's testimony. What on earth has the Department of Defense got to do with her? Was she on a top secret DoD mission when she was supposed to work for Universal?

Yes, but JB lead him into that whole date/time issue. JB said it first. The date of the 911 calls was the 16th. (31st day missing)

CA knew on the July 16th that it was 31 days since the last time Ga saw Caylee! Yet, she and the whole family went with the original "last saw her on the 9th" routine that the defendant stated, in her original interview, with police. So, unless CA had her dates off, thinking it was July 9th, or Casey confused them all then when CA made those 911 calls she knew that 31 days back was not June 9th but June 16th.

It was definitely July 16th and CA said Caylee had been missing for 31 days! That has always bothered me as to her not saying "missing a month" and instead giving an exact number of days.

Yuri Melich was there the 16th into the 17th.

Date of the 911 calls was July 15th. ICA stated she hadn't see Caylee for 31 days. YM arrived early hours of July 16th.

OK the Court Oficer is on the phone.... with someone behind the Casey door. Next thing you know all of the lawyers go out back where Casey is. At about the 11:00 mark look at the interaction between Baez and Casey. It looks strained.

And that pic in question of Caylee opening the sliding door: I think it is authentic, a little bit distorted but authentic nonetheless. JMO

Last night on JPirro the THs commented that he was not qualified.... maybe he was watching.

Looks like a picture of a bunch of UFOs flying around to me.

At first I thought that it looked like someone attempting to line up something as in trying to figure out size by using scale...but then I just read that everyone here has pretty much discounted "the picture" as being the reason for the recess...so it's probably nothing to do with that photo.

ETA: so UFOs seems plausible.

It means it is something very specifically related to the inmate and not the trial. So a question regarding her or her councils health, or her satisfaction with her council, or her councils satisfaction with her, etc.

Well, if someone is gravely ill and the judge or prosecutors wanted to continue with court today instead of letting me be by their side, I'd yell. Really though, this is just speculation but it makes more sense to me than the other things that are being brought up.

Anyone watching WESH trial coverage. I just woke from a beauty sleep and went there to find more info and the cameras are running on the judges door. A bit of activity going on, LE in and out, part of the DT went in. Now it's just the door and an LE standing around outside it. No idea what's up but it continues.

Did Dorothy Sims do the first deposition with Dr. Furton? I understand that she is the one doing the one this afternoon with Jeff Ashton and Dr. Furton.
