Comic relief could be his insistence the skull contained brain dust, even though he never tested it. Apparently a forensic pathologist can eyeball a substance and declare brain dust, but a toxicologist cannot, even with access to a lab and equipment, tell the difference between organic and not organic material. How about, gasp, having someone on staff pull the reports in question and see what they say? Nope, Krystal Holloway.
