No good deeds by ICA that I can remember. She also has a criminal record, which will come in. On the other hand, JB can bring in the sex abuse as a major mitigating factor (see Susan Smith case), ICA's youth, no prior child abuse or violence, etc. The penalty phase (if there is one) is going to get very ugly, IMO.

Will Judge Perry allow him to bring this into the penalty phase when he wouldn't let him bring it into closing because there was NO evidence to support the allegations?

Gee...thinking along those lines, what in the world would Baez say to help his client if this is not allowed in? And if it is allowed in, and the jury already knows it was all a lie, wouldn't it hurt her worse?

the state would not allow Jose to "go there" I don't know how to say this without causing a rumor to start...
I read some stuff REALLY earlly on and from ICA's friends. It is about the parents.
Just becausce Caylee started to talk - ICA wasn't the only person she could out.
The breakfast video could be a problem as some have speculated.
BUT the Anthony's are not on trial-

I see where you're going with this. IMO, it's been put to rest and had no bearing on where we are now. If I had to, I would go to such lengths to find out what the date was when that video was made to prove that GA and CA were where they were supposed to be.....working...to support ICA's sorry a$$ and that it was ICA that was taking another "silent" video trying to emit her resentment toward her own child.

I've been trying to figure that out too! Something weird. Maybe it's that the shape? Looks like the tips of her fingers are more narrow than they should be. Pointy fingers. Dunno but there is something.

Me, too! They are very noticeable. If you will look, you can see that they are very, very small, very, very pale and sort of blotchy and rather shapeless. And there is a particular way she moves them that is unusual. Plus, she uses them a lot in her mannerisms, her speaking and in the constant pulling and tucking of her clothes, wringing of her hands, touching of herself. They seem to have a life of their own; add to that the speculation of the things she has done with those hands and we are psychologically horrified by them.

I gotta say, I'm excited to finally see the jury after all this is said and done. We've heard so much about them, it will be nice to finally see who they are. I wonder how the alternates felt after all that time to be told they actually are not part of the deliberations. Bob K. said two of them (14, 15) were big note takers and very attentive during the trial.

Yeah, NG also said tha the jury was "in a secret special room" right now...an hour after the day was over...

My son is a defense attorney who is completely committed to giving the best defense he can to his clients.

He's disgusted by Baez.

I have heard the same thing from other defense attorneys.

Also, I have been thinking about this 'all is fair' attitude that defense attorneys should throw anyone and everyone they can under the bus to create reasonable doubt. That makes me sad for our society. I think it is so unfair that there are many many people out there that believe GA to be an abuser without a shred of evidence to prove it.

Oh this is torture. It all boils down to these jurors. Nothing else matters.

And I don't take the different talking heads "take" on the jury serious in the least, considering the tweets during trial.

Seriously, none of them, even the alleged jury consultants on TV has a clue. We'll just have to wait out the agony of not knowing, IMO.

Morning All! This morning I did something I have never done before for the last three months. That is - I got up and instead of logging into this site, and if appropriate, whatever online TV cam that was showing the courtroom, I just switched on my TV.

I have been concerned about why there is so much concern on the board about whether or not ICA might get acquitted or get a life sentence, and how the evidence didn't show motive or just wasn't there or......WTH? Wondered if I'd dropped into an alternate reality or something.

People talking about how hard JB worked for his defendant all this time, what a good guy is is.....those kinds of comments are really puzzling to someone like me whose been watching every hearing, reading all the depos, listening to jury selection and then every day of the trial. The truth is JB loafed around with his face in the media for 2.5 years, did nothing and then had to actually do some work, and did an extremely sloppy job of it, to even put on a case in front of this jury.

But I've got it figured it. What I did this morning was not come on line - I sat down and watched.....HLN! Awww - I see the problem! You see, I also for the first time watched HLN last night. I watched JVM on her program say the SA didn't have a case, then saw her on the Dr. what's his name say the SA crucified the Defense theories. And all the TH's back and forth.

But when I watched HLN this morning, I thought - what case are they even talking about! What they said last night - they've taken a completely different view this morning - completely muddying the facts, with TH's who have obviously not really even read about the case let along spent a day watching the trial. All this talk about having to prove motive, cause of death blah blah.

If this is what people are considering their primary news source :floorlaugh:, then I completely understand all the apprehension about the case. Watching HLN about this case is like watching "All The Days of Our Lives" if I want to know what is happening in world or local news reports. Too funny but also kind of sad.

Well im at work, so the only thing I can watch is the WTFV feed. I have always felt the need to defend JB, but I just havent spoken up before. I'm not saying that JB is the best attorney in the world or anything. It's just that I've read people saying things like JB is just as bad or like Casey. What? I totally disagree. Any defense attorney taking on a high profile case like this is looking to make or enhance their career. They sure aint doing it out of kindness or money. They are looking to make a name for themselves. The OJ Simpson team is one example how one case can make an attorney a household name. Cases like this bring more high paying clients.

I just cant see JB as a villian. If he is a villian then so is CM and the others. They have also worked hard on this case as well. I just dont think it is fair to emotionalize a defense attorney's motives or the tactics used during a case. It may seem ruthless to the average person, but thats how the game is played in court. Its competitive. Go hard or go home. You are there to win at all cost for your client. I would think if JB didnt anything remotely illegal or unlawful he would have been in trouble or possible pulled from the case. The goal is to win and not feel sorry for that person. Feeling sorry for them wont get them acquitted.

With most lawyers its never personal when it comes to their clients. If they get convicted or set free its nothing like having a close relationship with a family member or friend. You have to seperate those emotions or you will get caught up. Its hard especially if you are working with that person for years, but I honestly dont see JB as that kind of person to get too attached to his client. He did his job and now he's probably ready for it to end.

Don't know him, don't know whether I like him or not. But what I don't like is his lawyering style which seems to be take 'em all out to win at all costs. I don't believe all defense attorneys are as weasely as JB seems to be. That's just my opinion, my two-cents. And with that, shower time, work time.

Court hallway cam just changed view so you really can't see anything. This was after 2 OCSO talked and I noticed lights were turned on . Mean anything? Probably not.

I think that she is wearing a wig. I know that she used to wear extensions.

If you wear them too long and/or have them done by someone who doesn't know what they are doing you get alopecia that often doesn't ever go away.

Either way it is impossible that her hair would be as thick as it is after wearing extensions. And it is obvious that she is not wearing them now, its harder harder for white woman to get their real hair to blend with extensions. Pamela Anderson wears a weave that shows every one in awhile.

Remember Brittany Spears. I think that she shaved her head because she had ruined her hair with them.

I'm truly sorry for doing that kinda thing, I truly do not think that people do stuff like that because they don't care about Caylee. People have different ways of dealing with things, ya know what I mean?

It is not at all "ugly coping". I think that ICA, Ronald C. and Misty C. are the champions of ugly coping! :crazy:

After being here from the beginning, agonizing over Caylee for 3 years, watching the lies from George and Cindy and Lee, watching the smirking and antics in court from JB and his media appearances....many, many media appearances...lying....excuse me, please, from seeing the humor or cuteness of anything JB does.

What he and his client have tried to do to the Ant family and to the memory of Caylee is not funny to me. What ICA did to Caylee is not amusing to me. Coming here and seeing post after post about family members thinking ICA is innocent....family members who haven't even followed the trial. News from HLN?? Please..:innocent: And, posts about how ICA won't be found guilty, state has no case, JB is wonderful and hard working and cute and adorable.....

Caylee was found with 3 strips of duct tape covering her nose and mouth. Her tiny bones were scattered throughout a swampy trash dump. Her bones had been gnawed on by animals. Pardon me, but that is what is consuming my thoughts.....I'll leave the humor and how cute JB is to others. Rant over....have a nice day.

Oh my....I'm reading "Mommy's Little Girl" on my Kindle...just got to this part:

Casey's friend Amy is talking about how Casey and Cindy both were consistent with discipline. "No" meant "no". But, Amy wasn't always comfortable with Casey's parenting...she didn't like that she brought Caylee to poker night etc...but, "she'd put her to bed on the couch and the kid slept through anything...it was amazing."

Paranoia speaking.......please help me calm my nerves!!!!!! Do the jurors know that if 1st degree murder they can't be interviewed by the press? If so, does being dressed up mean no murder 1 conviction? Sorry, I know I am losing it here.
