4 Univ of Idaho Students Murdered, Bryan Kohberger Arrested, Moscow, Nov 2022 #95

DNA Solves
DNA Solves
DNA Solves
So you think he committed all four unalivings and then stripped down naked onto new shoes and clothes? I would assume then we'll find out that DM must have seen him leaving the house with some sort of duffle bag I assume? Maybe that is where he put the knife so he wasn't worried about the sheath?

You say he had a target and who do you think that was and why did he target that person? From what I've seen there is no connection whatsoever b/t BK and the victims so I don't know who or why he would target?

Do you think he accidentally went to the wrong room (Xana's) and that's way her and EC were unalived?

Thanks in advance. I'm just trying to understand how all of this happened.
MOO speculating.

He is a Ph.D student of criminology. Specifically murderers. He had read extensively about how crimes are committed.

Re:
Clothes and the car. Criminals are aware of DNA. Many use the plastic bag containment method.
MOO leaving an open large plastic bag with shorts and flip flops ready next to it by the car.
After crime, stripping while standing on the bag everything comes off, knife possibly wrapped in a crime garment as the crime clothes plop down on the bag, then cleaning the skin with wipes, tie off the bag, new gloves and then put the clothing bag into another bag and its ready for transport to hide or dispose of.

Re: Targeting
I think the connection is that he drives around looking at stuff.
He was a heroin addict, the way heroin addicts support their habit is very often burglary.
So even if he was no longer actively burgling, he had the skills and habits as well as the criminal mindset.
MOO he follows or just discovers a hot, maybe dismissive young woman that lives in a fishbowl; one can see into her room from a secluded parking spot.

Re: Xana

Killing is not just a active thing like a sport, its an extremely emotional event, I think he got into a killing momentum, thrilled, adrenalin filled and finding he was really good at it. So after hearing Xana downstairs he went after her, then Ethan stepped up and got an immediate fatal blow.

Then he neeeded to get out, so he started walking to the back slider to exit and that meant he walked toward the Good Times sign in the livingroom which would diminish his night vision a for a few seconds while he passed through the hallway where DMs door was.

MOO, also after all that killing how could he not resist fully looking at that Good Times sign for the murderous irony of it?

Party house:
The others in the house got up at the time they would normally get up on a Sunday.
They maybe thought there was inappropriate stuff going on the night before, but they had no idea what had happened.

MOO but first that would mean MM was the first victim where he unsheathed the knife. Second, maybe he was wearing some type of cover all that didn't have belt loops? Otherwise you'd have to think he'd of kept the sheath on his belt right?
MOO
If he was wearing the Dickies coveralls that matched the tags found during the search of his apartment, as a middle class boy who exercises at a gym he might have been unaware that anything long put in a coverall pocket pops out during strenuous exertion.
He could have tried his kit out and it stayed, but... he encountered another person in addition to the target and it did not match his preparations.

So you think he stripped down naked and changed outside by his car? Seems awfully far fetched don't you think?

You say he no longer actively burglaring but did he ever burglarize in the past? If so, I wasn't aware or do you just assume he did and was never caught? It seems like you think he just randomly picked that house but I find it hard to believe he's dumb enough to pick a house with what was there five or six cars in the driveway the night it happened?

I also don't think there's any way he killed Xana before Ethan considering they were both according to the PCA in the same room when LE found them. Xana wasn't downstairs when she was attacked unless BK moved her body which seems unlikely don't you think?

I also think it is probable that he stripped out of the coveralls outside by his car. He may not have been naked, but could have been in his boxer briefs.

We've read that he had a drug addiction. We've also read about him stealing his sister's cell phone. I don't recall reading he was ever caught by anyone else "burglarizing" homes. However, I know for a fact drug addicts do steal.

Not sure the house was random in the sense that he just picked a house that night...IMO, he saw parties at that house quite regularly (as evidence by LE being called to the house). I actually think he attended a party or two (not as an invited guest, but just someone that happened by and saw the party). That way he knew how many rooms and how many people lived in the house - 5 cars was not unexpected.

I agree, IMO EC was killed first. However, my theory has always been that XK saw him coming down the stairs and he saw her see him. He went after her. As she entered the bedroom, she told EC someone was in the house just as the perp stabbed and threw her to ground (thud heard on the neighbors security camera). He quickly turned his focus to killing EC before EC could get fully on his feet and out of the bed. Then the perp went back over to XK and told her "It's ok, I'm going to help you." (i.e. stop the suffering by killing her).

MOO but it sure seems like AT's plan is to prove with cell phone data that BK wasn't around the house during the time of the crimes. That may be all she needs to put doubt in a juror.

What? He can't ditch his phone? Means zero....2 Cents

With all due respect is there an inmate that would turn the channel if they were discussing their case on tv? If that same inmate you quoted saw on tv they were talking about their case don't you think they'd also watch?

The inmates already say they watch BK's case and discus it but no, not all inmates want to watch themselves on TV....I am not surprised BK is not one of them....2 Cents

All my opinion and I'm not saying BK is innocent I just have had a hard time putting this puzzle together.

They have said it was quick which means he had no time to clean himself and if so, the one huge factor I haven’t been able to move past is the lack of evidence in his car. Absolutely impossible to execute a grizzly murder of that magnitude, and drive away without even a trace of blood or DNA somewhere on the floor board, vent, seatbelt, etc. Or even a hair fiber from one of the victims. Or transfer DNA from the rugs/carpets in the house. For me, it's incomprehensible.

A couple more things I don't understand is the killer not checking any of the bedrooms were the survivors were. I could understand it if their rooms were on the top floor but they weren't. Also, I can't wrap my head around the 8 hour delay to call 911 or the fact that it appears that the for some reason BK picked the two rooms that each had two people in it but left the two rooms alone that had one person in them.

Not impossible at all. I see it all the time. Just saw it. 3 guys using 2 vehicles at 4 crime scenes shot 8 people multiple times, blood everywhere and even stepped in blood. No blood evidence in the car and truck they drove.

If murderers always left victim's blood in cars most murders would be quickly solved.

Not realistic when killers spend months planning. ...2 Cents

I believe the jurors will believe that it is resonable to assume a criminal justice PHD student teacher can keep blood evidence out of his car after planning ahead to murder.

I think BK has put his entire family through the ringer from an early age. They are his victims also.

JMO

I think that this is very true. I knew a family that had a son, who had so many issues, it was one thing after another. They had family therapy because he was just...controlling absolutely everything in the family with his behavior.

His mother confessed that she was relieved when he was arrested, then she felt guilty about it. So many layers with a family member like BK.

It’s hard for me to imagine the same scenario and the individual not watching. If it was me I would watch anything and everything I could. If nothing more than to see how I’m being portrayed.
