If you happen to see her mom again, please let her know we're wishing her daughter a complete and speedy recovery. I feel so badly for her.

They seem to be equally good at getting sympathy while in jail. :furious:
That poor little girl shouldn't have been involved with a suspect in a missing child case - that scares me!!! That family just got too over-involved and made the child a part of that, not thinking about how it might affect her emotionally. It's disturbing.
People should think about that - we are grown-ups and we are all totally weirded out by Casey. A child is alot more trusting (obviously) and naive, and maybe it's the first time she's been disillusioned.
I'm here all the time, but I hardly ever tell my kids any details about these cases, except my daughter who is almost 21 years old. My husband doesn't even like to talk about these missing children because it gives him nightmares.

Please tell me why everyone who wants casey to talk to them goes on the news and SAY THAT...??? Don't announce it. jeez.

A 12 year old should definitely not be allowed to get so emotionally involved in something like this case. Even just following it on TV to excess could be harmful to a child of that age, much less becoming personally involved. I am still on the fence in this case and am still hopeful that Casey is innocent and praying that Caylee will be found alive and well....but I have to say, I am very surprised by the note that Casey supposedly sent to this girl...(if it really was from Casey at all)-- I can tell that she was just trying to be sweet to the little girl by acknowledge her efforts, but the note was so inappropriate, especially the mention of having a sleepover together. And the note itself, the style of it, as well as the content, seems so regressed, more like a note from one 12-year-old to another. Speaking of sleepovers, I've been very surprised that my 5-year-old child has been invited on more than one occasion to "sleep-overs" by families of his peers, beginning when he was even younger than 5! Which we just couldn't believe, we were like, are they kidding? So I don't know what it is today with "sleepovers". Totally inappropriate in both cases. To echo what others have said here, no child of this girl's age should have a myspace or facebook page at all, nor should they be emailing with any adult. (In my opinion.)

Perhaps this little girl had a nervous breakdown of sorts after the news a few nights ago, and they are holding her in psych. Speculation, of course, but if I were 12 and that happened to me...I think I'd be in psych for a long time. Bless her heart.

I remember seeing a young girl walking with the anthonys with posters to find Caylee and hugging cindy a lot. Is this the same young girl? I remember wondering who that girl was.

Probably so. I just REALLY do not appreciate Casey pllaying with this little girl's emotions. The Anthony's are doing it also. Why doesn't this little girl's mother step in and cease all conact with the Athony's for her daughter's sake?

No, Casey is not a child sexual predator, but she is too dangerous a person to be around children and I believe that Anthony's are also. They all seem to be unstable.
A child of 12 is so impressionable and needs to be protected.

I agree. I was horrified when I read about this yest. This poor girl was just trying to do something positive to help find Caylee. How sick and twisted is Casey to have been interacting with this child like this? I feel saddened and sick for this girl and I am stunned she was even allowed to interact on such a level with these people! Especially casey!!! My goodness.

Children that age are so impressionable and not fully developed emotionally -- just the type of person who might buy a family's insistent story of a missing child and want to help with all her heart because she is full of love and dreams and wants a happy ending.

I think for the same kind of reasons Rev Grund stated in his meditation blog. They saw their child as being a kind and loving person, the 12yr old got positive reinforcement via media and even us here on the board.
What this child did was a thoughtful thing, very loving. I don't think they thought through the possible end results. They just supported this good quality in their daughter.
Yes, I agree it went too far, and the parents should have gotten warning flags with the *sleepover* and such. But I don't want to blame the parents, when again it's Casey's preying nature, where she's the director and everyone else is just a player in Casey's play.
The parents were naive and supported their daughter in what they thought a good quality. It's sad and that family is just another of Casey's victims, imo.

You have to be 13 to get a myspace page. So this shows me that the parents most likely don't monitor their child's internet usage, (bad sign) and probably didn't know much about the messaging back and forth between her and Casey.
