DRUMROLL PLEASE . . . OVER 41 HUNDRED DOLLARS RAISED FOR KLAASKIDS AND THE FIREBALL RUN!!!!

In addition to hundreds of wonderful Websleuths members donating we had on member who came through with a very large donation. When this member contacted me I couldn't believe it. This person wishes to remain anonymous because he/she is a humble and kind person. Thank you.

Thank you for being such a dependable partner. The swiftness with which you responded took my breath away. Your generous and spirited tax deductible donations have enabled the KlaasKids Foundation to surpass our goal. Websleuths is now a major sponsor of the 2010 Fireball Run As the official charity of the Fireball Run, KlaasKids will be able to print and distribute 35,000 missing child flyers throughout the 9-day, 35,000-mile Fireball Run. Hopefully, by working together we can help to return of some of these kids, and raise awareness about missing children and child safety.

The collaboration between Websleuths, the KlaasKids Foundation and the Fireball Run will make the world a better place.

I was thinking the same thing, although we might want to wait until next month to let people catch their breath (or their next check)! Announcing a date ahead of time will give everyone who wants to give a heads up; I bet a lot missed this one. I'm with you, butterfly. TES does so much for the kids. Let's do it, Tricia.

I agree. Let me pass on my limited knowledge of life to you guys. LOL

We absolutely can do something for TES but we need it to be a specific situation.

With KlaasKids Marc came to us with a goal in mind and told us exactly where the money was going to.

Here is where my vast life experience comes in (haha) I have found that people will give when they know what the money is going for especially if it is a specific situation.

We can do a fund raiser for TES but we will have greater success if TES comes to us and says for example; "We need 4000 dollars to be able to get our horses and team to Florida to search for 4 missing kids the media isn't covering." I just made that up but you see what I am getting at.

Plus we do have to wait a bit before I feel it is appropriate for me to ask all of you wonderful and giving people for money again.
If anyone reading this works with TES put something together and bring it to me and we will see what we can do.

We also have to be very careful. I do not want posters to feel like I am hitting them up all the time for money.

There are so many great and worthy causes out there and it breaks my heart that I can't help all of them.

This is why I need to become a billionaire in the next year or so. I will give a ton of money to all these wonderful people so they will never worry about money again.

I have that little stumbling block of figuring out how to become a billionaire but I'm working on it

Awwww Gibby, we would all like to be able to give big bucks, we all gave what we could afford, and thats what counts, the goal was met and then some!! :woohoo:
