A new beginning for the Anthonys?

George seemed sincere when he told LE about that smell in the car and how it was one he remembered from being a cop.

George seemed sincere when he told Larry King that smell was a pizza.

George seemed sincere when he told LE his daughter lied and stole.

George seemed sincere when he told a reporter she was a wonderful daughter.
Oooohh, you're exactly right. I agree.

I hope Casey sticks to her guns and refuses to see her parents and brother. That is the kindest thing she could do for them. They need a chance to begin to heal without her constant uproar in their lives. Let her cling to her attorney and anyone else who will allow it but leave her family alone.

I agree! KC put herself where she is but she'll make her parents' lives a living hell after the trial when she most likely will turn to them again..if not before then. It will be all about her....poor KC with nobody to comfort her. She'll never allow her parents to move on with their lives while she's locked up without making them feel guilty for it. It will be all their fault she is in there. I can only imagine what all their phone bills will look like once she decides to talk to them again.

Why do we always go back to A-bashing. true GA & CA were not the parents of that baby however they raised her every bit as much if not more than her own mother did. Their loss was very great to them and none of us have a right to question their anguish and how they choose to deal with it. George has been under psychiatric care and is probably being encourgaged to reach out and help others as a way to take the focus off his own grief and move on. CA is not one of my favorite people but her pain is real and if she is going to spend her time out of media limelight and trying to help others (reagrdless of how effective she may be) all the power to her. moo!!!

I don't think stating a personal feeling that these are not people with the profile, appeal, skills or reputation to help missing children or their families is "bashing."

The A's TV appearances only confused the issues.
They dragged innocent kids into this by making their
photos public. They made the case against their daughter worse
with each word they mis-spoke.
They belittled the people who actually were out searching while they sat collecting money from strangers.
Most families do benefit from doing TV appearances about a missing person, but most families are nothing like this family.
Most families are honest and grateful not domineering and
shifty.

I bet KC and Baez would agree with you.....that the A's media appearances have made things harder for KC.

I think we are going to see another full force media circuit interview frenzy on "My daughter is innocent" as we get closer to the trial date.

I hope the Anthonys got closure with the memorial service and will now reclaim their private lives. There’s no need for them to make any media appearances of any kind.

Until the next document dump or scandalous revelation (a la Gil Cabot), if we're lucky we've seen the last of Baez, Conway, Luka, Baden-Kenny and the other satellites circling around Miss Casey, for a good long while. It’s time for Nancy Grace to move on from the daily coverage, and for Leonard Padilla to return to his bounty hunting.

As for Miss Casey, perhaps it’s best if she simply remains silently trapped in her little jail cell eating white bread sandwiches for the next year while her attorneys work on her defense and the state works on her prosecution.

By the time this case comes to trial, there may be no need for a change of venue. As long as Casey remains incarcerated, the public is going to forget all about her because the popular wisdom is that she’s exactly where she belongs.

This post covers it all very well, DianeB. This is what I think also, but you stated it better than I could.

I did some checking last night and heres a few changes that I've noticed.

1. No more T-shirt/ bracelet sales on Caylees site.
2. No more family emails listed on site
3. Anthony family emails addys now inactive
4. No more friend requests on Caylees MS

I see it as their new beginning and move in a better direction.
I'm thinking this should make people happy that they are bowing out of the limelight, but I'm sure there will still be critisism for it, 'cause fault seems to be found in everything they do.
Whats your take on it?

I believe they are in a stage of transition.
New t-shirts, bracelets and who knows what else will soon be for sale. The donation drive will be back with a bang. The unveiling of the new foundation website will show what they are up to.

IMO, you can't stand up for missing children without being totally against the abductor and/or murderer if that is indeed the fate of a missing child. I just cannot see that the Anthony's have the skills it would take to get into the missing children area.

I respect your opinion but I have to ask, ask anyone... exactly what SKILLS would George have to offer in the search for a child?

SNIP

I think George would bring passion to the search and that's wonderful. But, IMO, the most important factor in any organization is choosing the right associates - employees, partners, vendors, etc. The A's have a horrid track record of relying upon the worst people.

IMO Kidfinders was the only organization that believed their story and agreed with them, thus the support.

yeah. themselves being the worst possible.

I think the "New Beginning" should be an end to the circus.

This case is special only because of Caylee and all the photo records we had of her from the start. A lying perpetrator in jail denying all charges is NOT special, and vocal relatives proclaiming her innocence is NOT special.

The media circus has taken on a life of its own. Hopefully now the prosecution has more than enough evidence to launch the trial in the near future. The fine details of KC's bone idle life, and tangled "social web" are not of prime importance. Neither are the details of the pathetic, dysfunctional wider Anthony family. It is clear that KC murdered Caylee and callously abused and dumped her body. She has since had callous disregard for ANYBODY other than herself. I would hope for a trial to commence in the near future. I see no need for it to be overly long. A GUILTY verdict is almost certain.

Exactly. Unfortunately, the A's turned away/off the skilled and knowledgeable folks like MN and TM. Can't do that and run an effective organization with all "yes" people - especially when those "yes" people have ulterior motives.

Very well said, Hercule!

Now that the memorial service has provided a measure of closure for people mourning the death of little Caylee, her mother is yesterday's news.

Leonard Padilla and Tim Miller have moved on to the search for Haleigh Cummings, with the media in tow.

I say it won't happen.

How's that for sticking my neck out?:bang:
