SPENDING CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS CHRIST THIS YEAR

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven’s stars, reflecting on the snow.
The sight us so spectacular, please wipe away that Tear,
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear,
But the sounds of the music can’t compare with the
Christmas Choir up Here!
I have no words to tell you of the Joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description, to Hear the Angels Sing!

I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart,
But I am not far away. We really aren’t apart.
So, be happy for me dear ones. You know I hold you Dear,
And be glad I’m spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I send you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above.
I send you all a memory of my undying Love.
After all “Love” is the gift, more precious than pure gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

I can’t tell you of the Splendor or the Peace here in this place.
Can you just imagine Christmas with Our Savior face to face?
I’ll ask Him to lift your spirit, as I tell him of your Love,
So then Pray for one another as you lift your eyes above.

Please love and keep each other as My Father said to do,
For I can’t count the Blessings or the Love he has for you.
So, have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that Tear.
Remember, I am spending Christmas With Jesus Christ This Year!

Thank you, This is Beautiful.

What an amazing group of people. These are all wonderful ideas.

I am going to leave this thread up because after the holidays is when many of these charities really need help.

Please keep adding your thoughts and ideas of other ways to help.

As poster Tally CIT said, "Do something." Very good idea.

Caylee's death will not be in vain. Many people have been changed by her case and will now become strong advocates for children in some way.

Her life and how she affected all of us will still be talked about for many years to come.

I know of a family struggling this year and had helped them purchase Christmas gifts for the kids a few weeks ago.

I've been so sad about the definitive Caylee ID that yesterday while I was at the grocery store I impulsively bought an entire Christmas dinner- turkey, ham, all the fixings- and brought it to them. The mother cried because all she was planning to make for Christmas was spaghetti.

And in another odd twist of fate, I've been considering volunteering for the Florida Guardian Ad Litem program and what's held me back is the 40 hours of training that would have presented a problem for my work schedule. While I was in line at the grocery store, the man in front of me and the cashier knew each other and were chatting- it turns out she is a foster mother and the man runs the GAL program in my area. I interjected myself into the conversation and ended up talking with that man for about 20 minutes. He is going to offer weekend training in the spring so working folks can more easily participate in the program.

None of us will ever know what acts of desperation or despair that we prevent- but I can live with that.

That's wonderful Pirate! Let us know how their Christmas went.:blowkiss:

BTW, I love all of the Poems on here. An excellent expression of faith in our Lord's birthday. Cheers!

I also cross-posted this on the other Caylee memorial thread...

May I respectfully offer another thought on a way to honor Caylee??

If LE is correct (as I suspect) the one issue that affected Caylee's life most was domestic violence. Sometimes we don't really think of these cases in that light. We hear domestic violence, and we get a mental image of an undereducated alcoholic in a sleeveless white T. That's the stereotype of the batterer but not the reality, as this case may tragically prove. Caylee is the face of domestic violence. Nicole Brown-Simpson is the face of domestic violence. Laci Peterson is the face of domestic violence. I am the face of domestic violence.

When you support domestic violence initiatives, with your time, your wallet, or your vote, you are sending a loud signal that what happened to Caylee is NOT acceptable. You are also helping another family in crisis to break free.

I can personally share the simple joy I felt those first nights in the home I rented after I left. My son slept soundly in his bed and I knew he was safe. I would sit on my couch with my deadbolt locked and my TV on softly, and just marvel at the fact that I knew there would be peace in my house that night. No suprises, no eruptions. Seven years later I take it for granted...I come home and I don't even notice it anymore, but I can't tell you what that feeling was like back then. How I actually cried because I was so grateful for that peace.

I don't know if there was any way to predict Caylee's fate. It would seem, based on the testimony of family and friends that there were no warning signs, that no one thought KC was capable of harming Caylee. That's not always the case. But supporting your local DV programs in honor of Caylee would not only send a strong message that Caylee was precious and her life was precious and it shouldn't have been stolen from her by someone she trusted, but it could very well help prevent the next Caylee. Or Laci. Or Stacey. Or Nicole...Or Jessie...

Tis the season for peace, and if your heart is moved to do so, I ask that you spread a little peace this year in honor of Caylee.

The poem is just beautiful. It brought peace to my heart and tears to my eyes as I have a daughter who is spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
