Can you or anyone help with that tag line? Is Save Beth Karas too weird sounding? What is a good line? Help!!! Wanna make the FB page tomorrow! I appreciate all of your input Labradorable!

Katie Baby

I took the time to summarize my thought on how to organize an effective online campaign. Instead of spamming this forum - I PM'ed you. As you are a senior WS I will leave it up to you what you want to do with this document - i.e. put if on a general forum here on WS, etc.

thanks for your kind thoughts on my sister Colleen. There is not a day in my life where I am not aware of what her murder has done to my life's path. And I know you identify with this.

Please PM or email me when your guest appearance on Rikki show w/b aired :)

My mom and I watched Dr. Drew together and both of us got tears in our eyes when you talked about how emotional it was for you. That's how normal people respond to hearing emotion in someones voice. I have never once had an emotional reaction towards JA. I can't imagine the jury has either because it's just not real! Put Samantha or Tanisha on the stand and they'll feel real emotion!

I've seen that picture before and it really is a slap in the face at how brutal this was. My mind went to his book intro where he said that as a kid he learned how to turn so his mom would hit his back or arms because it hurt less. :tears:

I thought Juan was wonderful and have no doubt he'll get justice for Travis! We have to get through Nurmi's redirect and the experts, but Juan will bring it all back into focus during rebuttal.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to drop a note and say that yesterday was a real rough day inside the courtroom. Although Martinez did an excellent job and tied up the loose ends even getting Jodi to admit the injury to her left ring finger was in fact a result of June 4th, the reality of how brutal of a crime this was hit home. Juan displayed a photo of Travis' back wounds. It is still in my mind today, and I imagine in the mind of many who were in the courtroom yesterday. I have seen the previous horrific pictures of Travis but for some reason this one personally hit me hard. So please, keep the prayers going for Travis' family and friends.

It was astounding how each of us after court were on the exact same page as to the things that impacted us the most. And it seems people watching at home didn't quite get the impact of the finger issue, which to me was a Perry Mason moment (and you too!).

Thanks for posting. See ya Monday friend (I just sounded like Nancy Grace there lol). :seeya:

I thought this thread was supposed to be about insider observations from court. It has apparently morphed into something else.

I'm really sorry about that. I started it. I'm asking Nurse to create a new BK thread on this forum (cuz she's currently working this trial) so this can be edited to just court observations. Thanks for your patience. Didn't know where to post this and it did kind of morph. We'll get it sorted out before Monday. :seeya:

Katie, thank you so much for your insights! You were terrific on Dr. Drew last night. I didn't even see the pic, but was affected JUST by the reactions.

Did you feel in the courtroom that Travis had a STRONG voice yesterday through Juan Martinez? He was so intense, direct & effective, I almost felt like the victim was crying out for justice through my screen. Just wondering if anyone in the courtroom felt similarly...

I thought the finger thing was HUGE!!! I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up by more of the talking heads. I was sure Vinnie would've tweeted about it because he's been waiting for a Perry Mason moment, but nothing. I jumped out of my chair and called my mom to ask if she heard it Lol. Her weak attempt to back out of her answer was carp.

She's toast! :rocker:

I also remember the stool. I guess JM can't remember everything.

I think JA wanted to abandon the idea of the stool because, as JM was taking her step-by-step through the alleged chase, she knew it didn't make sense. We know she wouldn't hesitate to point out to him if he was wrong (ala correcting him on the EXACT wording of her "bitterest words I'll ever eat" baloney from the beginning of the month). I don't think it matters, really, because IMO the shelf scaling thing it just as much, if not more improbable.

Perhaps JM will point out the inconsistency in closing?

She never said she used the stool to get the gun. She said she used it when doing his "dusting the shelves" special project when she first found the gun.

This very sentiment was expressed to me by 3 other people who were in the courtroom yesterday.

I heard gasps all around me and the fast clicks of the laptops in the media section. It was HUGE moment for everyone in the courtroom who I spoke to.

Here's a link to the gentleman: http://www.cnn.com/CNN/anchors_reporters/safon.scot.html

Scot M. Safon is Executive Vice President for CNN Worldwide, where he is responsible for managing the domestic US television network HLN. He is based in CNN’s world headquarters in Atlanta.

Question: where is the o/l petition for Beth - or did I read that wrong?

Thank you & kudos on Rikki Lake ... brilliant. My sister was sexually brutally raped & murdered ... it's great what you are doing for her. My thoughts are with you.
There is an online petition to keep InSession covering live trials 8 hours a day. Google the terms InSession petition. I signed up. They had over 600 names and want 1,000 total. Worth a try ! TIA.

Just got off a long phone interview w a ricki lake producer and found out the guest on with me is Susan Markowitz, mother of Nicholas Markowitz who's murder is depicted in the movie Alpha Dog. She may be a member here. I interacted with her quite a bit years ago on the old CTV boards. What a coincidence...looking forward to finally meeting her in person.

I know this is NOT the appropriate place for this, could we start a beth karas thread maybe?

When I spoke to Beth Monday evening, I told her that I was a web sleuther. She asked if she should contact Trisha to possibly do a weekly q&a via postings or setting up something like that. She asked if I thought any of us would even be interested in participating in something like that. HELLO!

I actually sent an email off to my friend, Oprah Winfrey, saying how lucky the own network is now that Beth Karas is available. I wonder if anyone actually ever reads those emails.

Where can we continue this conversation?

I agree. This thread needs to be kept to the experiences from the people inside of court room and questions for those people. There is another thread for everything else like speculation, introductions etc.

I also agree that a thread for Beth would be wonderful. The movement for her is extremely important (I sent my e-mail in!) and maybe more attention could be drawn to it if it had it's own place and posts here moved there. I'm so grateful you brought it to our attention Katie. :heartbeat: And the tools to reach out in the best way possible.

The observations inside the court room is now my most important visit here and I hope we can keep it to that. I can only imagine it's very taxing emotionally and physically to go through it all and sit down to share it besides. We are really lucky to have eyes and ears inside and I hope this threads keeps to that. And again thanks to all of you who get down there and give us what we would otherwise not have.

JVM needs to go! They should fill the spot with Beth and a non tabloid style of serious trial discussions with intelligent and honest informed opinions. Not manufactured debates.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

JVM can take NG and Dr. D with her. That would give Beth 3 hours in which to present informed, intelligent trial coverage where the viewer wouldn't be assaulted with the rantings and ravings of screaming fishwives (JVM and NG).

I'm talking to mods about creating a new thread and moving all the non observer posts over to that one. Luckily we have a long weekend now to sort it out. :)
