Aw this is way too cool. I live just east of Jeffersonville, in Charlestown. The ladies out in Phoenix get together and I was just saying last week there must be someone in my area that I can celebrate Jodi's conviction with! I don't mean to sound so cold. This is my first trial with websleuths. And I am so angered that JA has no remorse. My husband works with a man in Louisville and he told my husband his wife was following this trial too. Could that be you?

Katie and Pasa - can you please tell Dr. Drew's juror Katie Wick or his producer about the mitigation specialist seen rubbing her nose while talking to Jodi Arias in court just after the judge announced the afternoon break? It was caught on video. It was so weird I couldn't help but notice the mitigation specialist rubbing her nose again while Jodi was on the stand answering questions aout the gas cans from Juan Martinez. Need to find a copy of todays testimony to compare the two events - it's truly bizarre IMO.

I too think this is important and posted about it at the time. I don't want to say too much about it . . . and what it might mean . . . but it was very odd and it jumped out at me. (Both Jodi and mitigation specialist were rubbing their noses in different ways while talking.) I don't think they knew they were on camera.

Hypothetically . . . if overzealous sleuths start thinking secret codes, does that make them paranoid?? :floorlaugh:

I'll be in AZ 3/21-28 and am planning to go to court 3/25. You should go that day too! Would love to meet you, PASA, KCL, and all our other wonderful court watchers. Maybe even Anita will come back!

I have thought about that it may be closings...don't know if I could handle Nurmi's close! But, I'll probably only have one chance to see this trial in person, so I'll take whatever I can get!:rocker:

I;m going to be there this weekend and I just changed it so i could be there Monday, and now there is no court!!!!! Darn it!!!!!

I understand your concern. But it may be just the opposite in that the jury questions are more favorable to the prosecution.

I read the following which may shed some light on why so many states do not allow juror questions, even though most of us (perhaps all of us) are highly in favor of them.

Defense attorneys say jurors will inevitably put more weight than they should on their own questions and make it more likely jurors will rush to judgment without taking into account all the evidence admitted at trial.

If that's really true, then I say, "Too bad."

Ok starting with my notes chronologically:

"I don't think the media can listen to Nurmi anymore..they all left" Jake said this as we went in court. The media section was like half empty! THere were 3 open seats in the family section. i was seated in the middle area right behind the siblings with a weird ponytail that was only missing a bone and I'd be a 50 something year old "Pebbles".

JA has her power suit on again. The black with white piping. Interestingly Jennifer W has the exact mirror image...white w/ black piping. I suspect this jacket is a. Jennifer's and b. her power suit for Juan.

Katie DDJ and PASA in...yay!

Samantha has that intricate side braid that Tanisha often wears .

All attorneys up and talking to Judge. JA reading something..whatever.

PASA is left handed (breaking news! lol)

JA to the stand after talking to Wilmott for a long time before taking the stand. She's still wearing her power jacket and pops over there with a pep to her step again.

Again the Von Trapping..yawn.

My 4 boys in the back (CPA, Wrestler, Neil, Poquito) talking and chuckling as they walk in.

Thea ARtist to me seems like the oldest male other than Grandpa on the front row.

You know, I worried about that too, but then today (I work as a waitress) when the trial was playing on one of the TVs, a table of guys mentioned she looks so pleased with herself. In fact, one said she reminded him of Jennifer Lawerence when she was answering questions after she won her Oscar and was chatting with reporters. Without knowing any details of the case or the manner of Travis's death, he said if he were on the jury he'd be for the DP based purely on the fact she seemed to be loving the spot light.

I think the jury has seen her true face. She hasn't once said she was sorry. Even if it was in self defense, which I don't believe for a second, some little part of a normal person would be sorry or blame themselves. The fact she thinks she's above it all and smiling, continually dragging Travis through the mud is going to be a huge turn off for the jury.

Good to hear from the guys where you work... That they can see the attention hungry side of her...

Maureen has had her hair colored since yesterday...dark brown.

Maureen walked in to court today w/ Juror #1.

Really is he seriously going to hash and rehash every single break up?

he's gonna take 2 weeks to cross these juror questions! (jokes on me huh?)

I cannot impress enough the low energy that wafts through this courtroom right now. WHen Nurmi is up. SIgns audible all around me as he drones on and on.

Reminds me of how I describe the Post Office near my house..so slow moving, I always say it's like they're piping in Valium through the air ducts.
