THANK YOU!!! This helps me a LOT! :seeya:

LOL Dr. (of love) Steely! Those lines are awesome and I hate to admit there are many in there I would totally fall for (but not giving up which ones).

Hey on the topic of court observers, I just want to say something.

One thing that we've been talking about at our happy hours and other gatherings is how cool it's been to meet so many new, interesting, smart, genuinely good people through watching this trial together. We consider that we all work together as a team whether we get in the courtroom or not. We all support each other as we support justice and Travis' family in any ways we do. People have sent me cards, and gifts to carry to T's family, PASA every time I'm not in court and at work or whatever, texts me all day keeping me up to date, Anita is always in the loop. We all support each other very well.

No matter where someone is sitting inside the courtroom they will have a unique view of the jury, JA, Martinez or whatever they are seeing. We all catch each other up with interest and value. Everyone's perspective is valued and welcomed. I'm saying this because I want any people thinking of coming to watch in person to take the risk to take notes and post observations. It takes a Village and everyone's unique take is going to offer something we don't get without that sharing. Make sense?

This is how I generally operate in my life...connecting and working with good teams for a sense of expandedness and connection. I do know how to weed out the nuts and PASA is the go to girl for letting you know who to avoid in the public gallery to stay out of trouble and frankly not waste your time with.

We support Katie Wick as one of our own helping her think out loud of what she might say on Dr. Drew and clarify her observations. Bill the producer from dr. Drew often joins us and is such a sweetie. It's a great group of people who've formed connecting at the courthouse. After getting my brother settled in the hospital I was nearby so instead of driving straight home in rush hour traffic I went and met with them at the HH and got lots of hugs and got to distract myself with their thoughts about the trial. A special someone had texted me and asked "I know you want a grey goose martini straight up waiting for you " (which is funny as I've never ordered that but I was like "uh yes!") and I had it waiting for me when I arrived, paid for. I even got invited on a little caper this weekend so am gonna connect with a few of them outside of court on Saturday...I hear mimosas will be involved.

If you're on the fence about coming, please even think about just joining us after court. The conversation is always stimulating and the people are just genuinely interesting, and good.

Just my little Friday morning sharing from the couch before work. :seeya:

I want to be a good writer like you when I grow up. :) So very well said my friend.

I'm going to post my notes in just a bit. Not much yesterday, just a few observations. Sorry I missed HH but was beat and needed to recoup.

Today's hearing has been moved to Monday at 10:15 per WildAboutTrial.
It seems one of the attorneys had a death in the family.

In the meantime, in case you didn't see the latest crazy Jodi video from Fox

.

Thanks for the heads up.

Good grief... laughing and doing hand stands. I wish the jury could see that part of the tape.

I knew it would probably help you with your scheduling.

Same tweeter also said the jurors were now told to show up at 11:00 on Monday. The hearing will be held at 10:15.

I guess I should dust off my twitter acct and start using it for this trial. I really don't get/like twitter but it seems useful. Thanks for the heads up! Yes I can now figure out where I can make some $$ next week without having to work another weekend. YES

Thank you!

I wonder if it's laViolette the so called DV hired gun.

Thank you!

I wonder if it's laViolette the so called DV hired gun.

It has to be because the tweeter said she is the ONLY witness left after Samuels. She said Nurmi just told her that today.

Camille Kimball‏@CamilleKimball
@ceelovingu I'm saying after Dr. Samuels, there will be just one more defense witness: LaViolette. Nurmi just said so. #JodiArias

I'm also curious Katie if you attended on Wed in the morning (3/13).

It was announced there were technical difficulties so court was adjourned til after lunch. However, court minutes show the jury was questioned individually about something.

Did you hear any chatter about why that would have been necessary?

I did (that's the day Janine was there). I have no idea on the jury questioning...let me see if I can get to the bottom of THAT next week. I wonder if Beth knows..she knows everything.

Ok...twist my arm! I'm coming:great:

I'll be in AZ week after next 3/25-3/28...was hoping to see part of rebuttal, but sounds like it will be LaViolette. I'll take what I can get. Is there a day that week that both you and PASA (and maybe others...hint, hint!) will be there? I haven't been to court since my high school law class, and I need some fellow WSers with me! :please:

Also, can I PM you and/or PASA some questions about attending. I'll probably only be able to convince hubby to give me one shot to go down there and if I don't get in, :furious::tears: Maybe I'll tell him court goes late so I can go to HH!

O/T--Bombshell tonight! Did you know this guy :fence: is actually swinging his legs on a fence, not typing away on his keyboard as I thought? Learn something every day!

KCL and PASA:

FWIW, I am someone who has opposed the death penalty, however watching this trial, I have found that if I were on the jury and had to determine the sentence, I would have to go for the DP. I heard a female panelist on HLN say the same thing last night.

Since the jurors were screened on this as part of the voir dire and based on observations of the jury, unless the defense comes up with something very compelling or if JM bombs, it would seem that the jury will go for the DP.

Between the heinous nature of the slaying and JA's lying on the witness stand, IMO the jury has had it with her. JM proved she did not return the third gas can. He's expected to further erode her claim that TA had a gun. I don't know if he will bring in anyone on the closet shelves; it seemed as if that point needs further elaboration to hit home with the jury...that would make it three distinct lies on the stand.

I never used it before trial. It's been helpful in keeping up with things. I even installed it on my phone, which I swore I'd never do. :-)

I follow some local reporters, Beth, and Wild About Trial.

During the week I'm in town?!? RUDE! :floorlaugh:

Well, I guess I will sear myself to a golden purple by the pool that day, while sipping bloody marys and reading a true crime novel. Oh, the suffering...

(mental note: pack aloe and lidocaine gel.)

Here's the thing. The Judge will give them very specific instructions to determine whether this crime fits the criteria for the requested sentence by the State (Death). They will be given a very specific definition of the word "cruel" as it is used in this context and decide if this trial fits that definition. It's not subjective really. It's a formula. And they are Death qualified meaning every one of them stated they could impose the DP.

This is why I believe they will draw the inevitable conclusion that that sentence fits this crime. They'd have to go outside the box to decide otherwise and I don't see that happening with this jury. She's not sympathetic AT ALL once you realize what she did.

And yes now she's lied directly to THEM and their questions. And I suspect we will see more of that proven as well.

The 25th may be out for me, but the other days should be open.

Yes, feel free to ask questions. I'm happy to help. :)

I enjoyed making this post in my post ER brain fog last night but I don't think many people saw it because it was in the middle of the night...it might come off as kind of insane but I had fun writing it so I'm bringing it over here to share on the interim break. This my brain on stress, stream of consciousness. Enjoy (I hope):

Ya know while we're on the subject of courtroom demonstrations ;), I'd like to ask Mr. Nurmi if we could also explore a demonstration on just how Ms. Arias was able to perform that Disneyesque Tinkerbell move as she ever so lightly flitted up those shelves seemingly bearing no weight on them with her foot or hand while grabbing a toyesque unloaded pistol that was in a holster/box/the thin air from whence it came all in the matter of a nanosecond with a man attempting to attack her and take her very own life right on her heels in the blink of an eye, that would be if she ever did blink, well not a blink of Jodi's eye as that would be the equivalent to the time frame it takes for you to get one "eeeeeannnnnd" out of your mouth while questioning her but I digress.

Now I think the most effective way to convince the jury with this demonstration and which would pack an even more powerful punch, than, say Gus Searcy demoing putting on ALL of his various pieces of jewelry in his tiny motor home bathroom while preparing for court (which you must admit would be a gravity defying feat all in itself and I do know this sentence is way past the "run on" definition and it's late and ask me if I care) , that you could bring in, say your mother/wife/mother in law's fine heirloom china or breakable trinkets or some kind of valuable small limoge porcelain Baloo the Bear figurine collection and place them all along those demo shelves she is so delicately able to place her feathery foot upon as she glides effortlessly toward a 10 foot ceiling that seems to be right at eye level for her (much like Alice in Wonderland in reverse, she enters a closet and it shrinks, she grows) and quickly grab a, say, gold lavalier off it and rush quickly to pin it on Gus Searcy which would probably equate the time it might take to release a safety *advertiser censored* and fire a gun, which obviously I wouldn't know as I don't know guns but dammit if I was in a fight for my life I'd sure be able to teach myself that accidental move in the blink of an eye.

Thank you...and you're welcome for the suggestion.

I think it would an epic ending to your case in chief.

Yours truly,

katiecoolady

Oh and PS. Your client is going to Death Row. So, anyway, there's that. __________________
