KatieDDj was a bit giggly tonight on DD...thought about this long lunch!

Hope that your brother is doing much, much better and that he's back on track soon.

Please give Travis's family our love and comfort. These past two days must have been very hard for them. I can picture Travis looking over them with love and trying to find a way to make them laugh and wipe their tears away. His love will be with them always, as will theirs for him. Nothing can take that away. Family forever.

I haven't seen her yet so I do know Mshe did some shopping after lunch so maybe she was giddy over finding a new purse. ;)

Thanks for asking about my sweet brother...he's doing MUCH better. He thinks he may come home next week. They are tweaking his meds a whole lot so good he's being monitored but let me say it is NOT a lovely environment in there, even to visit. At least tonite they let me clip his crazy long finger/toenails. What did they think I was gonna do with a small nailclipper? I get it but dang he was lookin "Liza Minelli" and we did joke about just that. lol

One thing that was kinda funny was this African American Nurse was giving him this pep talk in front of me tonite (she loves him) and I found myself saying "Can we give her an AMEN!" and Alfonse and I both lifted our hands and said "AMEN!". Just kinda funny after what i wrote today.

It was made very clear to me today by the family that they are feeling all the love and support and it's really helping them. Please know it's being received and felt even though their ability to respond to everything is, of course limited. Still working on the housing situation and have some good leads. :)

I always try to look at the bright side of things, so I'm really glad you got to have a nice long fun lunch with KatieDDJ and Co. You deserved it! Hope your brother is doing better! ;)

We were all kind of lost after court really...as in "now what"? Oh food, that's what. ;)

Katie :heartbeat:

After what you've written, it is hard for me to find words  If I could thank this post a thousand times I would!!

I read a lot but don't post often. I have been around since Court TV and the OJ trial and I became a KCL junkie during the SP trial years past. I have long admired your strength, spunk and courage and I am so happy for Travis' family that they have you as a friend and advocate, as someone who has walked that terrible walk, to be there for them during these awful days. Your sister Cindy I am sure is very proud of you, especially when you have such a full plate juggling all of your responsibilities and making it seem so easy!

You're right, all of this is *very* triggering, but I stick with it out of some sort of feeling of obligation to Travis and his family, to be there in spirit for them, even if it does cause me personal discomfort, it can't compare to what they are experiencing. I would like to think that if I lived near enough, that I would have some of the strength that you do, to sit in the presence of evil and see and hear all of those awful things wuthout completely internalizing them and letting them eat me up.

So, for now, I'll sit here with my coffee or my wine and my kitties and root you and the other courthouse attendees on, send my good wishes and support to Travis' family and Juan Martinez and hope that everything turns out the way you percieve it, because I trust you. I , as we all do here, do *so* appreciate all of your enormous efforts to keep us all up to date and informed with all the inside scoop. A million thanks is not enough.

BTW: As far as JA Mom & Aunt; they were wearing purple ribbons, which signify support for Domestic Violence Awareness. I worked in the field for 10 years, so I am sure, we adopted those ribbons shortly after OJ. Also a note, I was close with Nicole Brown's family and after OJ murdered her and Ron, a lady with a gift shop sent them the little gold angel pins to wear. Soon, the lady at the shop was ordering a LOT of them for people they knew requesting them. Nicole's family and friends wore them during the trial. Several weeks into the trial, the defense had Judge Ito order them removed, although the defense team continued to wear quite a variety of bright and colorful lapel pins :/

I've said it before and I"ll say it again. Sitting at home and offering support in any way you or anyone does it even if it's holding good thoughts for the family, positive thoughts for justice, prayer or whatever a person does to send good vibes, IMO, is a TANGIBLE BENEFIT that ends up in some channels getting transmitted and felt. That alone is valuable and it is ENOUGH. I truly believe this with all my heart. And I bring the strength of all of you posters in there with me every single day I go in there. I am never just *me* in that courtroom. I am carrying the strength of everyone that I tap in to. And I mean that in a very literal way, if that makes sense.

:seeya:

Housewife and Tri-color take notes on LV (Laviolette) experience...everyone paying attention. Trump has hand on chin (stays that way almost ALL day). Willie stares at the floor.

During the first sidebar, Judge was really giving it to JW Not happy with her at all...
Some notes as JW continues with LVs experience...they're listening but no one is really digging this. Some look at floor. Housewife looks back and forth between JW and LV--like a tennis match.

Maureen's chair is fully turned toward the witness, so her back is to ponytail next to her. She takes notes off and on but listens intently

Mitigation specialist escorted LV into the courtroom but didn't stay...

Sidebar #3--Paul Rudd fingers rub temple, CEO rubs eyes.

Side note: I sit next to a man in the am who says he's friends with LV for many years. Says she's terrified to be testifying...not sure of the reason (or reasons), but I can guess.
He also says OJ and Nicole were supposed to meet with LV two weeks before the murder...I don't know if that's true, but there you go.
He is very nice and friendly to me...but I think he and I are on different sides of the universe when it comes to this trial, IYKWIM.

BBM - considering this info, does anyone think that she is preparing to somehow support whatever hypothetical that JM will surely bring up to point the finger back at JA?
My feeling is that ALV is a good person who genuinely cares about victims of DV and has done good work. Is she really going to support this psycho and crush her own reputation. I'm hoping she has a little buyers remorse. MOO
Any thoughts?

You're so welcome and don't be sorry. I imagine you needed the down time!! Do you know that when you said you weren't up to going and the PASA said she was sick I almost decided to just wait until today to go so I could catch up with the two of you? So glad I didn't. I really wish I could have met you and PASA in person...but now I have a reason to come back, right?! My biggest regret of the day is not being able to personally express my condolences to the family. My heart just bleeds for them. This trial, to me, is not about sex or abusee or self-defense or Jodi. It's about Travis and the injustice done to the world that he is no longer with us. I pray that this jury will bring justice to him and his family. After seeing them yesterday, I am convinced that they wil.

THANK YOU for your perspective. And thank you for taking a day on your vacation to sit in that courtroom holding the high watch for the family. I hope you, if you want and can, get to attend again. Some people have been known to bypass the court day and just join us after court to connect. That's an option that doesn't take a whole day.

I'm thinking I may not attend tomorrow after talking to my family as I have to drive to Sedona tomorrow to accept a delivery and I have some things to prepare for that related to my family (my Dad arrives here Friday). It's starting to get crammed so I may make better use of my time working on some of my housing for the alexanders from home instead before I leave. I think tomorrow will be kind of ...more of the same I hate to say. And as much as I find her interesting I think I've had enough of LaViolette's lectures.

Hope to meet you in person..and again, thanks so much for sharing..your notes were awesome (so observant!).

I just remembered something. I saw a man , maybe the one M3sons was sitting next to in the courtroom talking at length to ALV and another woman as well. he was probably about her age, longish grey hair, stocky?

He was also talking to JA's family. There was quite a bit of downtime in the courtroom and people milling around before court started errrr...didn't start.

KCL - I have a question.

In the other thread, a poster said that she saw JA stamp her hooves and exclaim "What is this, what is this?" at a piece of paper laying on the defense table at the end of day yesterday looking very angry at Nurmi. I was reading in this thread above that Juan has added people to his witness list 15 times. I am wondering if that is what she saw? An addition to the rebuttal witness list. Could it be MM? Just wondering. That would certainly cause the reaction as described IMO. Any thoughts?

I really have no idea on that! I didn't even see that until someone sent me the youtube of it myself. I was more thinking she was showing him something she'd written herself in her own notes? She sure seemed ticked off to me and I didn't get the feeling she was too jazzed about ALV. A whole day without discussing her? That had to just kill her/give her a fauxgraine. My new word. ;)

First off, BIG thanks! WOW! Amazing notes. A natural. :)

I did want to ask. JC made a BIG deal out of saying one juror, tri, I think was big time nodding at ALV during her testimony. JC made it seem like tri is her ticket out of there.

So many people FREAKED out after hearing that. People are very scared. Did you see the "nod" or have any reaction to that?

Thanks again,

We were told before the morning session that the judge barred anyone but family from wearing ribbons or anything else in support of one side or the other...but they couldn't make me strip down and take off all of my BLUE!:rocker:;)
Tie your hair up with blue ribbon.

Maybe Tri has been abused and related to what she was saying. Maybe she can see that Jodi was NOT abused.

That's just me projecting though.

YES KCL that's him!! He told me he's a self-defense expert, and he was surprised the DT didn't call him...? I didn't quite know what to make of that.

Anyway, I can report that, as LV sat on the stand and waited for the jury to enter, and even occasionally during sidebars, she would look over at him. He said to me, more than once, she was looking for his support because she was so scared to be testifying.

He also told me...and forgive me, because I don't remember the exact wording...that she told him things would get crazy, or something to that affect, when she was able to give all of her testimony. I took it to mean that she thought people might change their minds about the case after hearing her testimony...IMO. :twocents:

This happened at the end of court yesterday. It wasn't anything that caught my attention, or anyone around me. Saw the youtube video, too, but don't really know what to make of it.

She certainly isn't all smiles and giggles and whispers when she talks to Nurmi like she is when she talks to Willmott

Aren't you glad that you decided not to schlepp to court? So JA had a migraine? Sounds suspect to me. I trust her as much as a rubber crutch. JC or BK reported on HLN that it appears that JA & Simon Seville (of Alvin & the Chipmunks fame) have really bonded, with Simon taking a motherly, caretaker roll. I guess JA has spun a magic spell on Simon as well. Has anyone noticed if Nurmi is 'enchanted' with JA too?
Hi Guys,

I'm not gonna be going down to court today. I'm just beat. I'm also working on some other things related to helping Travis' family so can work on that at home. I'll be watching with the rest of you on the feed though!

I'll go back now and see any questions.....yawwwwnnnn...just waking up over here. :seeya:

Hi there! Thanks for your kind words. I can tell you that tri-color was NOT nodding at ALV. Not sure where Jinx comes up with some of this stuff! Tri-color listened, she looked directly at ALV, she occasionally took notes...but no, no nodding. And believe me, I was watching the jurors pretty much all day. Didn't happen...IMO.

KCL, are you worried about tri-color? I didn't get the impression she was pro DT. I didn't get the impression her mind was already made up, though, either. I did get that impression from some others.

I can say I agree with him about things getting crazy. But I mean once Juan gets a hold of her and flips her to a State witness.

That's interesting because to me she seemed exceedingly comfortable on the stand.

And, by the way, he needs a haircut. Meow. :twocents:

Well, when JC said that, I bet when she left the testimony, then gypsy woman came on and said she felt it would be a hung jury because she felt one of the jurors (basically, I think this is what she said) seems to want notoriety. I think gypsy was pointing THAT finger at tri and partly because of the head nodding. I dunno. I just keep telling people to breathe and calm down! Juan's got this covered!

That's just me projecting though.[/QUOTE]

I've not ever been worried about her. Honestly I found myself nodding in agreement myself with LaViolette as much of what she said resonated with me. I can see her nodding in agreement in terms of maybe relating to things in her own life. Esp as she's not at all yet really connected the dots to this crime, unless of course you are doing a checklist of JODI'S behavior she's detailing. So no that doesn't worry me at all.

Sometimes Jean C worries me too, but I think this is her MO. She likes to get a rise out of people with her jury reports. One day Wilmott was up, then Juan. From reports, it sounded like they acted the same all day. Attentive, but bored, no notes.

When Wilmott was up, she almost marvelled at how attentive they were. As if they were riveted. When Juan was up, they were bored, no notes. Beth Karas was asked if she got the same impression. She kind of ignored Jean and said basically, yeah they are listening, but there's nothing special about their behavior.

I remember reading an article about KCL and the Peterson trial where they were reporting how Pro Scott the jury seemed to be and everyone was panicking. Until the court watchers got down there to see for themselves and saw something totally different.

I don't know. But I wouldn't trust Jean!

I agree! Gets old running around putting out JC fires! LOL I can watch her flip from show to show! I remember Rudolf having a major flip out during the Peterson trial and wanting her to get fired. He posted a protest with her boss and yadda, yadda, yadda..Here we are today.

I think if you look up waffle in the dictionary, her pic. will be there. Sorry if I'm offending anyone. I know quite a few like her. I just trust Beth. Seems many, to me, are selling their professional souls on HLN. I already miss court TV and Insession.

And a final note to MeeBee, sorry I cut your quote off and put my note in between. Still learning websleuths.

Wanted KatieCoolLady to know that as of last count, on Justice for Travis FB page, she had hundreds of adoring fans for the hot ticket that ALV couldn't testify to Travis being called an abuser. Wow, you are one popular lady! Word gets out quick!

Thanks everyone, off to bed.
