Was it ever confirmed as to why court was cancelled? Someone help me out. Please!
I understand what people are saying about the crowds outside, but people needed to see justice here and felt emotionally invested, they needed to see that a jury would see through JA's lies especially the ones about Travis. That strategy disgusted people and there was a lot of fear around after the disappointment of the CA verdict ... The truth has prevailed over lies and people needed to come together to see it and celebrate the moment JMO
Sherrif Joe thumbs his nose @ the fed govt dicating what he has to do re: illegal imigrants, ACLU has tried to shut down his " tent city" and extra fees if inmates want more than balogne.he limits tv to c-span , the weather channel .etc..So far they have lost their efforts. Sherrif Joe does make inmates wear pink undies because he found many " stole them when they were white". A good example of Sherrif Joe is his HUGE Vacancy sign towering in front of his jail. IMO I love Sherrif Joe and his chutzpa
I don't know if this was posted before, but I enjoyed the article. I'm really happy that Mr. Martinez has an impressive and loving significant other (although I admit to a twinge of envy). I wish him much happiness!
Is Juan Martinez married?
I'm sorry about your mom
I'm packing her things because she passed away recently
So I understand your sadness
It must be a slow CMJA news day. JVM hasn't even mentioned her and instead is focusing in on that monster in Cleveland.
I keep meaning to ask - what happened to the poster who was posting funny short videos of animals during the testimony? I haven't seen him/her for awhile.
He really made a mess of it. He picked the wrong line of work evidently.
Just jumping off your post -- not singling you out...
While I am quite pleased with this verdict, I am taken aback by some of the rowdy displays I have seen regarding the verdict. The mob outside of the courthouse when it was announced, with their hoots, cheers, arm-pumping, etc. was insulting to the justice system. That kind of behavior would not be allowed in the courtroom, and it's inappropriate outside (or probably anywhere in public).
I know, it was fueled by high emotions (and media hype) after a very hard-fought battle, but this was not a World Series game or Super Bowl or NASCAR race win. It reminded me of the mobs at lynchings, beheadings & witch burnings in more barbaric times. This verdict was/is serious business. Expressing joy and satisfaction can be done respectfully and maturely.
(Sorry to be a wet blanket, but...)

Wow - it's perfect. And remember the juror question: Is it a love/the relationship? How spot on is this article...

Obsession: The Jodi Arias Story
Not sure if this is going to be a repeat of the Dateline episode tonight, or a new one
I disagree. These people were not in a courtroom, and do have a First Amendment right to free expression. Given recent verdicts that have caused people to lose faith in our jury and justice system, these patriotic Americans were elated that justice was served this time around. There was no taunting, out of line slogans, etc. like might have taken place "in more barbaric times". These people let the system work as it should, and were relieved and joyous to see that their faith could be restored. Nothing wrong with that, the way I see it.
hey, it happened with the OJ trial----huge crowd, horrified----and with scott peterson. great big crowd, went nuts.
people like to see the good guys win. i see nothing wrong with that. heaven knows in this day and age, very few things bring us together anymore. so what if we like to celebrate a win for our side? it's a very american thing to do----and a HUMAN thing to do.
i see absolutely nothing wrong with that, and if anything, it was actually RESPECTFUL to the victim. people came from miles away to be there wednesday. good for them, i say. i wish i could have been there too.
