Since I wasn't really around last night, what did you all think of Juror #8 on DD?

I liked him a lot! I felt bad for him that he felt he let the Alexanders down (he did not IMO).

His remarks were very thoughtful. I felt very satisfied hearing him say how bad he felt for the Alexanders that JA drug him through the mud and that he didn't believe a word of her pedophelia BS.

He's great! I am so glad that he doesn't believe any of the pedophilia carp. I also liked how he commented on JA's demeanour in court. I can't wait to hear from him uninterrupted.

By the way, Juror #8, if you're reading here, I do hope you join us! We'd be delighted! :seeya:

Yeah! Beth Karas just posted this on Twitter:

The defense attorneys moved to withdraw from the case after the guilty verdict. The judge denied it. We do not know the basis for the defense motion. #jodiarias

OMG to come all this way and then ask to be withdrawn....Jodi must have had a heart attack! :scared: Esp. Nurmi has been through it from the very beginning....they must be REALLY fed up with her.

I thought he was great. Made a very poor choice with the DUI. He saw through JA, but was still willing to try and see her side. Wish he was still a jury member. I think the jurors for this case are amazing, and very smart.

I know the DT is so focused as to whether he was alive or dead.

Dear Jodi/DT: Travis suffered beyond what we will ever know, while Jodi was gruesomely attacking/killing him. End of story.

Happy B'day, LL!!!!! :bdsong:

I think it's just another stalling tactic--one probably initiated by their client. It would slow things down considerably if CMJA had to get new counsel at this point.

No way. She did an interview against their wishes and is making it impossible for them to mount the defense.

They want off because they can not stand her. They don't want to defend her anymore. They have done the best they could for this murderess. I think that they know she is going to blow up during this phase when she gets on the stand again. They are just so over all her lies. She blindsided them, She is running her own counter defense and doing interviews..

Nah.. They want off because they are so done with her.

Perfect old fashioned style but still fast food burger. Though I do usually get the double Jr. burger, no cheese. I need more protein, and less carbs. Only 430 calories, not bad. No more than once a week though. It's just one of my many weaknesses.

Don't forget the toasted buns!!! Mmmmmm, yummy!

Do y'all REALLY think she will take the stand? I don't. It's my opinion she knows she is a loser and whatever she might say will not be respected by these jurors.

I vote yes.

IMO, JA trusts no one and needs to control everything and anything she possibly can. I think that she is oblivious to how people respond to her; she has to be in order to survive. To recognize how others truly perceive her would be crushing to her fragile self image.

It's now been confirmed that counsel for the defendant made a motion to withdraw, which was denied by JSS on Tuesday. Stands to reason that the loud voices heard after her verdict was in fact an argument between JA and her counsel. While JA said that KN was "the boss" in her interview, I'm of the opinion that she drove the major decisions of the DT and that her counsel was not happy with those choices.

If the monster gets life without parole or gets 25 years with possibility of parole, she will be in general population of the prison, will be able to have a job, communicate and visit with family and freinds easily, she will be "in her element" with all the weaker inmates there for her to manipulate.

Death means that she's in isolation 23 hours every day in a 12'x7' cell ALONE. It is difficult for death row inmates to have visitors, too. Much more restrictive.

I am praying for the death penalty, even though I'm not a proponent because I want her to live in a box alone for the rest of her miserable life. Jodi feeds on attention--just like she used to accuse Travis of: "flourishing on compliments" and attention.

I want the world to forget about her completely and I want her to live without any of the factors that would make her life happy. If she's allowed to mingle with other scumbags, she'll actually enjoy her life.

Last year I was really depressed. One day I was thinking "I might as well be in prison, in fact that would be nice. Someone brings me food. I can read all day. I don't have to go to work, I don't ever have to leave my "house" I don't have to socialize, I don't have to pretend to be a contributing member of society."

Then I realized that despite my depression, I do what I want when I want. I can get something to eat 24/7. I can get a new book to read or watch a movie 24/7. I play whatever music I like. It's quiet when I want it to be. I wear what I want. I don't have to ask someone to bring me tampons. I can sit outside or sit inside. I can control my thermostat. I can take hour-long baths or showers with nice products til the hot water runs out. I can walk, run, go to the gym. I have a dog. I have gardens. I don't have to watch my back. I can call, text, websurf when I want........ I realized prison was the opposite of what I really wanted, even thoguh it made for a "low-effort lifestyle."

Even if Jodi has friends and activities and visitors in prison, there is so much she won't ever have. She will never have control. She will not have choices. She won't have baths.

No control, no choices, it's still a crappy way to live a life.

As long as she's locked up I'm okay with it.

Very thoughtful, took his job very seriously and wanted to do it well (loved the fact that he said he tried to keep an open mind!), very careful in his interview not to say anything too inflammatory, I think b/c the trial is still on-going. I think he was probably what any attorney would want on a jury.

Now that explains Wilmotts cold attitude towards Jodi yesterday. She kept her distance and all but ignored her. Wowsa. They tried to get off the case. Fascinating!

I suspect the mother has stage fright, and really Darryl is the only one that still loves her.
Her mother is probably the latest target. Everyone but her is to blame. ALV bashed Travis. Thats why this sicko wants her there. Its a jab to the family. I really do hope Travis' family walks out if this subhuman gets up to speak. They have the option. She doesnt. They are free. Shes not.

I thought it was very sweet when his voice broke when he said he felt like he let the Alexanders down. He must be so releived the jury got it right anway.

I loved that he's the one that asked the haircut question. Dying to know who asked the *advertiser censored* question.

Based on KCL's obersavtions, I think he was holding back on how he really felt about Dr. Samuels. He was very smart and insightful, especially about the DSM and finding a diagnosis for anythig.

morning all! i think today will be heartbreaking as we will finally hear from the Alexander family.

BK just tweeted that no one from JAs family will participate in the proceedings today.

my question is this...will the people "testifying" for JA today be subject to cross?

if they are, i suspect this is why NO ONE in her family will be speaking, b/c i'm guessing there is some major skeletons in the family closet. ie., JA has been violent throughout her life. i think the incident with her brother can be easily discounted as they were both young at the time of the incident, and sadly, this type of sibling behavior when they are young is not unheard of. however, if JA had violent tendencies throughout life toward family members, you know that Juan will expose that.

IMO of course

I like him. There were a billion more questions I would have asked. I think DD actually did a fairly decent job of letting him speak too, which was nice. I wish we could have him for an entire hour and pick his brain.

How many times does JW have to clarify that if Travis is dead, then he doesn't feel anything.

Including the infamous disgusting tape she made without TA knowing she did it and I say it was scripted...:twocents:

I personally wish juror #8 should have waited till this trial is completely over before doing interviews.
