(Sept. 15, 2015) – *Stephany Elizabeth Lafountain (Bilecki) (23/now 26) arrested (8/30/18) arraigned (8/31/18) & indicted (8/29/18) with 2 counts of 1st degree murder, 3 counts of 2nd degree murder/intent serious injury/extreme indifference. Plead not guilty. $2M bond. Fairbanks Correctional Facility.
The 23-year-old mother conducted online searches for "ways to suffocate" and "ways to kill human with no proof" & those included “16 steps to kill someone & not get caught about an hour before she notified authorities her baby had ceased breathing, police said. Also searched whether drowning could show up in an autopsy report, "suffocating and smothering" and how to commit the perfect murder.
Trial was set to begin on 9/30/19-vacated, continued to 4/20/20 moved to 5/18/20 has been cancelled due to COVID19 & continued on 3/21/22.

Haines. 5/13/21 Update: Trail date setting hearing continued to 6/14/21. 6/14/21 Update: Next pretrial conference hearing on 10/11/21. 9/21/21: #9-Motion to compel personnel records of detective Avery Thompson by defense. State's response to defendant's Motion #9 to compel personnel records.
10/11/21 Update: Pretrial conference hearing was reset to 2/8/22 & trial is set to begin on 3/21/22.

It does say "Hearing Vacated" on the first 8/22/22 trial date.... So her trial has been continued. And thank you for the info!
