I've wondered if he's responsible for Holly Bobo. It fits his MO.

Anchorage Daily News says Keyes was stationed at Ft. Lewis, worked on Makah reservation, hometown of Colville, WA: http://ow.ly/fL4Rm

This is so nonsensical I don't know where to start.

Fort Lewis is near Tacoma.
The Makah are out on the very NW tip of Washington State (Neah Bay.)
Colville is near Idaho.

http://goo.gl/maps/YZK7R gives you an idea about how far apart all these places are. Driving from Colville to Neah Bay would take about ten hours.

I think I read somewhere that he has ties to Texas as well. Wasn't he arrested in Lufkin? I don't know a lot about this case, but I thought I'd throw that out there. I am sure it's better to start with the states that have been named, since he lived there. It's hard to narrow down with no particular victim profile, and because he did travel all throughout the US. How scary and so sad for all of these families that may never know what happened. :(

He has family in Texas.

I thought I heard in the presser that often his motive was money. That will help with finding his other victims. Maybe that rules out young children? More like murders committed with burglaries and robberies.

Authorities wouldn’t speculate on motive for the murders, just that Keyes told them it wasn’t financial. Investigators also wouldn’t say how Keyes said he killed any of his victims, but did say they range broadly in age, and were all strangers to him.
They also said he showed no remorse for any of his crimes during interviews.
In addition to the 8 murders Keyes confessed to, he also told investigators he was responsible for at least two bank robberies, one in New York and one in Texas.
The FBI is also looking at other murders, and missing persons cases around the country to see if Keyes may be involved in them. They said Keyes traveled throughout the Lower 48 extensively and would often fly to one location, rent a car, and drive hundreds of miles.

Keyes said it wasn't financial, but he also robs banks. :waitasec: I hope we learn more at tomorrow's presser. 1:30pm AK time.

According to Charley Project:

Kelly Huff is not on CP nor is Harry March

Bruce DeVoe - left behind new clothing, paychecks and son - truck found http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/d/devoe_bruce.html

John Weisz is not on CP

Cheryl Valenti - left in bf truck, truck found later, missed custody hearing http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/v/valenti_cheryl.html

"Keyes was thorough and methodical in disposing victims, authorities said Sunday. Only Koenig's body has been recovered.
He didn't have a clear pattern in victims, who ranged widely in age, authorities said. Money appeared to be just a partial motive.
Authorities say they may never know the full extent of Keyes' crimes because he parsed out only a little information at a time, withholding names and locations of most of his victims.
There may be victims in other states, besides the four states noted by Keyes, FBI Special Agent in Charge Mary Rook said.
Keyes also confessed to bank robberies in New York state and Texas."

I'll listen again, but I heard it was often financial, but not always.

Wonder if it's possible to match up bank robberies with disappearances and his travels?

"Suspected serial killer with victims from New York to Washington commits suicide in Alaska"

Very informative article at link.

some snips from your link:

Officials do not know whether Koenig was the suspected serial killer's last victim.

He was thorough in his disposal of the bodies, and was not interested in giving families any closure.

Keyes was driven to kill based on a pathology that Feldis described as something “you and I will never really understand.”

and also amazing info on the detective work they did with very few clues (re: truck and gloves)

I found this... Not sure if its been solved or if its connected but Canton and Tupper Lake are only about an hour from Constable, NY. There is footage of the mans face if someone can take a still shot and post it for comparison? There are also a few missing people from that area also, I will try to link them later....
