I have to say I agree that releasing the photo of the truck and making a plea for the public's help gives the impression some new evidence has come to light involving the truck.

Well this Christopher Anderson was arrested in the Jan. cocaine bust and IK was living with Kimberly Anderson, wonder if they're related. That could be one connection.

Joshua Mustovich, 29, and his brother Christopher Aaron Anderson, 24, were the intended recipients of 12 kilograms of cocaine police nabbed from a woman in Anchorage last week, the charges say. The woman told federal agents Mustovich gave her about $250,000 the day before in Fairbanks and told her to drive to Anchorage to pick up the drugs.

Next-door neighbors Michele Buwalda and Tom McMillan said Keyes lives there with a woman named Kimberly Anderson, who is also listed as the owner of the house in city property records. A daughter they estimated was 12 or 13 lives with the couple at least some of the time, they said

Or the DNA tests just came back from the search two weeks ago. Maybe there was hair or even blood in there and Now they need to see where the truck may have been seen to expedite the body recovery. The truck release is not a good thing, IMO.

I thought maybe I was reading between the lines when KTUU specifically mentioned the homicide detectives "The FBI and the Anchorage Police Department Homicide Detectives are asking the public for any information related to the Samantha Koenig abduction case."

It is a very common name, HOWEVER, that is quite a co-inky-dink. Hmm....

Okay, just to speculate wildly here. SK gets a little side job, driving CB around while he is making his drug deals. By doing this, she gets a great idea of who his regular customers are, who the big spenders are, AND who the bigger dealers and distributors are. Because she would have also driven him to drop the $ off to his dealers and then re-supply himself.
It was said she was driving him around to sell pot. But I think it may have included other things as well. Either way, she knew a lot about some dealers and buyers at some point.

Fast forward, and there was a BIG drug bust in town. And it may or may not have included someone close to IK. But if it did, it makes me wonder again if SK might have been a paid informant or an informant who was trying to get out of her own situation at the time.

ADN has pretty much the same story up now:

http://www.adn.com/2012/03/25/2390676/police-fbi-seek-info-in-koenig.html

LE wants info on Keyes and his truck. They don't have anything new to tell the public though.

Seems they really do think Keyes is the main player here.

He is on his way back so he may well be there now. I cannot find inmates listed anywhere up there.

Does your info source only cover federal prisons? Because Alaska does not have a federal prison. Federal defendants are housed in state prisons until convicted at which point they are shipped out of state to a federal prison.

I am trying them all, but it makes sense that i haven't seen a federal lol
:banghead:

I'm curious as to who this person is that reported the break in to their car and the stolen debit card.

Why? I guess who leaves their debit card in their car, is up at 3 a.m. to see that their car has been broken into and I don't recall anything other than the debit card stolen? Just seems a little off to me?

I wondered the same thing. I've looked and haven't been able to find anything solid. Definitely makes you wonder.

It's not uncommon for homicide detectives to work a kidnapping case. In many departments in small towns, they have only a major crimes unit that works on all cases... kidnap, rape, and murder, etc. Not sure if that is true there, but people keep saying Anchorage is a small town, so I doubt if their police dept. has a separate crew for each type of crime. (And IMO, they may feel that this will end up a homicide case.)

He won't be in federal prison until he is convicted. Right now, he is probably in or on his way to the county jail. I assume that AK is about the same as many other states, the jail system is maintained by the sheriff's dept. in that county. That's the way it is here.

Christopher Aaron Anderson is from Fairbanks, 6 hours from Anchorage. It's possible I guess.

The homicide detective is the same guy we've seen with the accent.

I am afraid that LE was holding out hope that Samantha was traveling with IR, most likley against her will, and when he was found alone, their hopes/beliefs of her being alive have...altered. If he is the main suspect, then where on earth is she? We are heading into 2 months now...

I noticed that the whole time up until IK was found APD kept saying they believed she was still alive. Then, after IK is caught they changed their tune as "unsure".
I suspect that the debit card or cards use may have led them to believe that she was still alive. I recall seeing that she was "broke" and needed to borrow gas money the day before. So if IK had her card and got any money it would have to have been put in there by someone
The news last night said that once IK was in ak that he would face "chargeS" plural in the fed court. Was the plural charges misspoken or a slip??

I was thinking the truck has been processed and they found something in there that made them change their wording.

Bessie, remember that Craig's List link I asked if I could post? It was at the beginning of this case... I just tried to pull it up again but it's an old broken link now. I didn't screencap it. A person posted at the beginning of February a Thank You to the 2 guys in a white pickup that helped her/him to get up a hill to her home. This person came back down to help the 2 guys in the white pickup out from being stuck, only to find them gone. These guys had a shovel & gravel in the back of the truck. It happened on the 1st or 2nd of Feb. It was posted in the rants & raves section of CL. I just checked & now it only goes back to Feb 9 (as of today).

Wouldn't it be ironic...
