Post from a man looking for his missing aunt, Avis Hardman. I can't find any records of her after 1956.

There are multiple family trees on Ancestry citing a death date of 2014 but without an official record as support. I am always cautious about such trees but they do include trees with pictures and from family members (although how close is unclear). If she is still missing the family should make contact with those tree owners on Ancestry to see if they can add information. It is possible that information (the 2014 death) was not known at the time of the original post in 1999 and that they now know what happened.

What's clear is that Avis was reported missing in the 50s. She's on the FBI bulletins.

Avis is not missing. She changed her name and started a new life. She was alive and well in 2004.

Yeah it's on one of those blog posts her son wrote. She married after dissapearing a second time and had more children. I'll see if I can find it again. I think she went by the last name Fischer?

I too thought she was Lmx, the resemblance to the sketch is remarkable, I researched it extensively a couple years back, but it's not her.
