I keep having the thought that maybe Brittney is in witness protection and/or she's somehow in communication with LE and helping to break this whole thing open. I'd love to think that she has been able to reach out to the victims and they talked to her and she encouraged them to go to LE.

All this is pure speculation and maybe wishful thinking on my part that Brittney is alive and safe.

I have absolutely no connection with this case. Yet my heart is broken for what happened to Brittney and all the other children/juveniles involved, including her brother and cousin who are in jail, for they were raised into this h*ll on earth and it was all they knew.

I have an active imagination and I've read a lot of mystery books and followed many true crime stories. It was the way Brittney reached out to the girl on Facebook who said she'd been raped that makes me feel that she would do everything she can to help the victims.

Also I think that what we know is only the tip of the iceberg.

"ROBERTSDALE – Another arrest has been made in Baldwin County, reportedly part of an ongoing sexual abuse investigation involving the family of a missing woman last seen in the Styx River area more than a year and a half ago.
In a press release issued Monday, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Jennifer Gonzales Moore, 32, of Magnolia Springs on charges of production of child *advertiser censored* and second degree sexual abuse.
The charges stem from an ongoing investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office and the Baldwin County Department of Human Resources in the Holland sexual abuse investigation."

Gheez. What were they doing with the *advertiser censored*? Selling it? How many more people will be arrested and how high up does this thing go? This investigation may go on for months. I do have to wonder how much Brittney knew about this and if she possibly could be hiding out bringing them down one by one.

Andrew says in the video "Baldwin County is expected to add new charges to older suspects and other agencies are looking at new suspects."

A big fat congratulations to LE on these arrests- it's taken a long time, sometimes it has felt like too long, but these arrests are just perfect.
I wish I could work out why the police picked up Chessy that night, along with all the others- is it possible there was some sort of recording device in the van?

Three charged child pedophiles all together and one of them is found shot. LE should have tested all 3 for GSR. Did any of the sex abuse investigators reach out to the LE department handling DH's shooting and recommend further investigating the alleged suicide as a possible murder? Obviously LE just took the word of WWH that DH had shot himself because DH sure couldn't talk. After the scene was secured and DH was rushed to the hospital, LE should have investigated whether this was a suicide or attempted murder. WWH and Moore should have been questioned further. An investigation should have been happened before allowing WWH to follow her husband to the hospital or at least simultaneously. I could care less that DH is dead, but if he was murdered LE missed a leverage opportunity that could possibly have led to finding Brittney. In my opinion, LE dropped the ball on DH's alleged suicide.

I think it will be this, to be honest. Scout leader arrested on child *advertiser censored* charges. It is a huge organization and I think they may feel it necessary to issue a statement to reassure parents. That would hit the headlines.

It should be receiving national attention. There could be more victims who have moved away and have no idea this sex ring exists or Britt's disappearance. Any parent who has a child that was or is a member of Moore's den should be made aware of her charges. In my opinion, LE should reach out to all the major media outlets so no victim is left behind.

I worry about possible kids who were abused and have not yet told. What kind of treatment are they getting? Are they being pressured not to tell? Are they being bribed? It's scary to think that another one may turn up missing.

I've just been waiting for Jennifer Moore to be charged (along with some others who have been following this thread). Just been waiting for WWH's "bestie" to get arrested.
So, it shocks me to read how others are claiming that she is innocent and that she is too nice to have done this, etc. It is scary how easily these perps can hide their sick/twisted side. We have to be diligent about talking frank to children to keep them safe and protect their innocence!

It sounds like Moore wasn't an "official" den leader or assistant because she had a previous record or charges that haven't been cleared yet. Is that how you heard it?

What's the story on that? She definitely was working closely around those scouts whether official or not. Of course, parents are concerned now! Parents are wondering if their child is on some secret video.

The newly arrested branch out away from the family circle, so I feel more hopeful someone will offer info on Brittney.

I think it was more a CYA on these current charges, saying she wasn't in any official leadership role, but was a volunteer and not even an official "volunteer" and can not be affiliated with the troop until the charges are cleared. (No, duh!) But it does sound like political double speak and could be interpreted either way. Would they even do a background check on unofficial volunteers to know? I'm not sure how all that works in the scouting world today.

Scout Executive Michael Hartigan said Moore in not an employee or an official volunteer at Boys Scouts of America.

Hartigan also said anyone with an arrest record is not allowed to be associated with the organization until their record is cleared.

That Fox journalist, Letisha Bush, has gone chasing the Scouts for comment on the case. That's really good news because any link to that organization takes this from 'just' a local story of sex abuse onto an international stage.

I think Fox has produced some excellent journalism on Brittney's case. If they carry on like this, I wouldn't be surprised to see a journalist getting an award at some point. I hope so.

I don't know if this European news has had much impact in the US, but it has sure shaken people up here. A Dutch child rights charity created a computer generated, 10-year-old Filipina 'child' and then sent 'her' into a video chatroom. Within just two weeks, 'she' had been contacted by 20,000 men ( and a few women), many of whom offered her money to perform sex acts online. Those adults won't suffer any consequences unless their individual countries follow up prosecutions.
