If they were text messages and she didn't actually speak to the person, they should look carefully at what was said, to verify that it was actually her sending the messages and not someone sending them "on her behalf"

The phone records themselves wont provide the tower location. Depending on carrier and type of phone, they may be able to retrieve the actual text messages. And yes, youre making sense :woohoo:

but they can find out what tower it pings off of!

If LE is able to determine where her phone last pinged or was used that tells me they have a detailed report of her locations in the days leading up to her disappearance. They are only reporting her last known locations because well... those are her last known locations. It doesn't mean the earlier locations are not relevant to the complete investigation.

HOWEVER... If it was my child I would demand LE and/or the phone carrier hand over those tower ping reports immediately unless LE was actively searching each and every inch of those areas 24/7 until my child was found... although even then I'd want a copy so I could I follow up on leads & search myself!

It's SW, BW's aunt, CW's sister. She uses her name.

She also describes BW very differently from how other/closer family members would her, especially regarding drug use.

I'll see if I can find out if LE has ruled out that sighting.

Regarding the last ping coming from the truck stop - if she had been given a lift by trucker or friend, wouldn't the phone be pinging all the way down the highway, in the direction in which they were heading? It's probably not likely that she was overcome within seconds of getting into a vehicle and had her SIM card removed.

I noticed one picture of brittany she looked pregnant. Was she pregnant when she went missing?

Not that anyone knows of. There has been speculation based on that photo which was taken around the end of April, first of May.

Disable , or allow facebook interface, or open in a browser that you haven't tweaked all the privacy settings. It's a pain to not want to be tracked by facebook, but the app needs to interface to facebook somehow.

DH Shooting/Suicide
He was at Styx River, in his vehicle, in the driver's seat. He shot himself in the chin and the bullet came out his temple. Forensic tests were done and all indications are he did shoot himself. The vehicle was searched, including searching for any evidence relating to BW. The house at Styx River was also search and there were no signs of any struggle, blood, etc. in the house.

I do not believe Brittney turned off her phone I think someone else did and then turned it back on days later!

No, it pings any time the phone uses a tower to transmit a call or text. The GPS narrows the location down considerably. Hopefully LE is getting the data from the cell phone provider.

It was reported that BW packed a bag and told her mom that she was going to a friend’s house for the night(?) and BW told a friend that she was going to visit DH at the river (or something along those lines).

My question: Did BW’s friend relay to anyone if BW told the friend WHY BW was headed to see DH and, if so, what was that reason?
