I'm not going to quote them as they are rumors, but there have been rumors discussed on this thread of issues in her personal life. We've seen dozens of these cases where people run into a roadblock in life and then just decide they want to run away.

Unfortunately I think her family is just attracting even more attention and media by continuing to release statements that read like "hope they are looking for her abductor but idk if they are! Carlee is too traumatized to speak about it!" and talking to the press. If they just thanked the PD, said they are happy to see Carlee home, and then said nothing more, everyone would move on while they resolve this quietly with the PD. Instead it's a media circus and the PD is having to defend themselves against the family.

There’s something to that. In multiple cases where someone has disappeared of their own volition, when the family has been quiet except for stating, “They’re receiving treatment and are safe. We thank the public for all their assistance. Please allow our family privacy as we help our child going forward.”, people have moved on rather quickly.

However, in those cases, there haven’t been false statements from the missing person setting up a kidnapping scenario. That’s where a case can become problematic and may prompt family to rush to someone’s defense.

In case anyone hasn't seen a trauma victim come into an ED, it's heartbreaking. Some are sobbing and screaming uncontrollably. Others are mute. There are so many responses to trauma. If Carlee experienced trauma, the reports thus far make sense, and IMO, it also makes sense why her non-medical family would call it unresponsiveness.

Just a guess, but I think the presser will verification no abduction occured and to basically close the case until charges might occur at a later time.

Same here. The police definitely didn’t disclose this information so people would be on the look out for kidnappers with Target snacks in their possession.

My thought is if LE has her on video walking home alone Saturday night they may very well have more video of her being dropped off somewhere close to home or have a good portion of return path home.

If they’re good at their job they are definitely working backwards looking for more video

The investigation into the Carlee Russell case continues as detectives are working to determine what happened from the time prior to her 911 call Thursday night until she returned home on foot Saturday night. Detectives spoke to Carlee very briefly upon her return home and are waiting for her to be made available to obtain a more detailed statement about the sequence of events during that timeframe. There was a video from Court TV posted up thread. The guest lady said that Carlee had been caught stealing at her job that day and also had flunked her nursing. (I’m paraphrasing there).
What horrible luck for her to ALSO be abducted for two days.
I’m wondering if she just really needed a break and didn’t think this plan through.
Either way, I hope she gets well and gets her life going in a healthy direction.

If she is not taking accountability after something like this then there is little hope. People would have more respect if she fell on her sword and was just honest. There are a lot of people that helped and the Hoover PD has better things to do than to spend hours investigating made up drama.
