Just a wild thought but could she have crossed paths with Lois Riess somehow? She killed the lady in Florida "she killed Hutchinson sometime between the 5th and the 9th". I know it is unlikely but you never know.

I considered this as well.

I'm drawn to what seems like the lack of info from/of husband. Barely any mention. Why? Are they separated? Divorcing?

He just seems absent from this lady's disappearance & following news articles & reports.

Lois killed a woman who looked just like her, so much the victim was called a doppelganger to steal her driver's license, credit cards and such and assume her identity. Lois has long white hair and is quite obese. Any further victims would likely follow the same motive and also resemble her. Jennifer is taller, more slender and has shorter darker hair. I don't think these cases would be related.
Although we don't think the two women look alike, I don't think we should not consider the possibility, however slight it may be, because Lois is obviously not stable and is likely getting more desperate as the days go by... IMO

I don't know if this has been addressed previous?

Could it also be possible she is having an affair?
Her husband has found out so she has up and left in the spare of the moment.? This is why we see her smiling, she is going to see her lover.

Could this also be why he (husband) is conspicuous in his absence? He feels humiliated.

I don't know about anyone else, but if I was planning on meeting a lover, I don't think I'd be dressed in pajama pants and zero makeup, etc. But, I have a feeling there may be some details the public isn't aware of in this case. That last text she sent in the wee hours of the morning may possibly have the answers to her state of mind at the time. I hope today is the day they find her.

Ergo, the spare of the moment

She could have had other clothes and make up in the car. She might have thought someone would find it suspicious if she dressed up in the middle of the day and question her where she was going, especially if that was not routine for her.

I don't find the theory of the secret affair too far fetched. It is a possibility imo.

Not to mention if the affair was going on for a while she could be comfortable enough with him to go like that.

What affair? Was this was a suggestion or is there a link with anything remotely suggesting this?

I found this to be of interest. Perhaps her MS had really gotten quite bad or she had been told by a doctor it would get worse quickly.

Maybe her husband was leaving to run an errand, attend a meeting or ,,,,, we don't know.
I'm just getting the vibe that something became readily available (opportunity ) to hurry and go do what she had been wanting to do. IMO, that would explain the attire and cash for fuel and time of day.
So sad, I just wish they could find her car, maybe more attention from MSM would help?

Excellent point! But in doing some further looking at the timeline of Lois's crime spree based on she and the stolen vehicle spotted on security footage, she left Florida on April 7th a day before Jennifer was last seen (the body of the woman she killed was found on the 9th but police said she'd been dead several days). The route of travel would have been well south of where Jennifer lived, and being a gambling addict it was likely she was headed to some coastal casinos, and not through central Alabama. She was seen at casinos in Louisiana on both the 7th and the 8th and later in the day on the 8th was seen in Texas heading towards the Mexican border. That would have put her WELL west of Alabama when Jennifer was last seen or texted family.

I have the feeling this is the case, unfortunately. She is a Registered Nurse and probably knows all too well what the disease had in store for her. I feel horrible for her family. I wonder what she was doing for 12 hours between the time she left and the time she sent out the texts to her family? I wonder if her phone had the ability to send a text at a pre-determined time? Sort of like setting your alarm.....The ability to type out a text and set a time for it to be delivered....does that make sense? If she sent the text right before she intended to carry out her plan, family would have surely been up & awake, ready to hit the road to find her. If they didn't get the text until 1:30am....well, she could have been long gone by then. Just something on my mind.....
ETA: Just spoke with my teenage son and he said he'd bet money there is an app you could get that would do this.

A few devices that run on Android actually already have built-in capabilities for sending SMS messages at a later date or time. For example, most Samsung phones — like the Samsung Galaxy S5 — have this feature. When you open up the “Messages” app on your phone, start a new message and type in your contact’s name or number and the message you wish to send to them.

At the top of the message screen, there are three vertical dots. Tap on them to bring up a menu of options. In that menu, select “Schedule Message.” From here, you can type in the time and date that you wish to send this message on. Now, where the “Send” button usually is, you’ll instead see an image of a clock. This means that your message is ready to be scheduled to send at your chosen date and time. If you press and hold on to the message, you’ll also have options to send now, edit it, or cancel it, too. Not sure if Jennifer has this app but the technology DOES exist.

I'd like to say I know this from being a really hip 60-year-old. I have a flip phone with the "ringing" app. I also have a millennial engineer husband (insert cougar joke here).

Thank you for that technical info.....and for making me literally laugh out loud!
