On Alison’s Tracker Map

There’s a potential, yet-to-be confirmed sighting of Alison on her bike! There’s a photo, and it certainly appears to be her, and in the right time frame.
What’s interesting about it is it seems like she is going in a direction beyond where you’d think she would have made a change in direction in order to go to her aunt’s house. IMO

Oh, I hope this is a good lead. It would show the family getting the word out is working, as it looks like an image from someone’s doorbell cam, most likely.

It's now confirmed to be Alison on the tracker map.

But you're right, it does seem to be beyond where she would be expected to turn off 6th Street if she was heading to her Aunt's house. Presumably she was either going somewhere else, or was taking a longer route for fun.

The location marked on the tracker map is accurate to where the image was taken; you can see the house at that location on Google maps. I've placed the tracker map image next to the Google street view:

Yes! And it shows she stands out in the purple shirt. Very recognizable

Re the Tracker map.
Just to be clear...A is her Dad's home from where she left, and B is her aunt's home, the destination.

Do we know if she has any friends or acquaintances in the pink area or beyond ?

This app is extremely helpful and and ought to be used in other missing persons cases.

So is it pretty much confirmed she didn't intend to go to the Aunt's house in the first place? She knew for sure where the Aunt lives, and how to get there?

I was a little interested in her mother's quote, about as time goes by she gets more concerned. Maybe she just said that in an off-hand way, but if you don't believe at ALL that she purposely ran away, it doesn't seem you'd be more concerned as days go by, than you were the first night she didn't show up at the aunt's house or return home, or be found along the way in some kind of an accident. It appears the mother is open to the idea that she got a wild hare and took off for awhile.

Prayers she's found safe.

I don't know which app you're referring to (Google maps?)- but yes! The family of Alison JUMPED on this by day 2 & 3 and had so much set up- this absolutely is a good model for How To Set Up an Active Search.

It's been 3 full days and counting, going on day 4. That photo of her along 6th, north of Mission- she is way off course if she was heading to her aunt's! By today I hope there will be more confirmed sightings to paint a picture of where she was headed. Everyone has those Ring cameras, esp in LA.

It seems to me it is secretly easier to think she purposely ran away even if she doesn't believe it. In my head it makes it more probable for a chance to come home alive. I think it is far more difficult to fully believe foul play is involved because there is less hope. Jmo

Im really really hoping Alison will turn up save.

It's unusual that she left her phone behind. I don't know many 15 year olds that can part with their phones on purpose or on accident.
I wonder if her aunt was expecting her, because if she knew she was coming it would give Alison a small window of time to run away (if she did) before they start worrying.

Do we have actual confirmation she even had a phone? It was said she didn't have one with her on the bike ride. But no mention of where it is, then.

She was leaving dad's house for aunt's house but her location about 12 min later is off that path... either she stopped for a snack on the way (seems not likely to me, just imo) or was taking a casual detour or was heading elsewhere on purpose.

I am wondering what was in her backpack. Even around 530pm it's in the 90s in that valley (SO HOT), was that where she kept water? (Or what?)

It's really odd if she purposely left it behind because she was probably going to go spend the evening at Auntie's house. She wouldn't be riding bike back to Dad's that same evening. So she was either spending night at Auntie's or Mom was going to pick her up later?

Either way, I'd think she'd want/need her phone that night to figure that all out.

I think she may have left it accidentally, which is really too bad because now they can't trace it to find her location.

I hope she didn't leave it behind on purpose because that opens us up to some scary scenarios...did someone tell her to leave it behind?

I hope LE has done a deep dive on her phone and laptop/tablet, etc....She is quiet and shy but very pretty. That could make her a target of online creepers.

In my experience, as a resident of LA suburbs, it is really unusual for a 15 yr old not to have a cell or a tablet.

Especially if she is going back and forth between 2 parents---she'd really need her own way to contact and be contacted by them,IMO.

But as you say, it doesn't seem that it's been confirmed.

I worry about the 'heading elsewhere on purpose' scenario.

I remember when my kids were 14 and 15---great kids, never gave us big problems----but during that early teen phase, lots of secret destinations, fibs about who they were meeting up with, etc.....much of that I learned years later when they confessed and laughed about it. o_O

07/20/2024 3:25 PM PST - Alison’s sighting on 7/16 5:47 near Main Street on S 6th Street. She is continuing Northbound on S 6th Street. There will is search party meeting at Alhambra Court House (150 W Commonwealth Ave) @ 4:30pm.

=======
She then heads WESTBOUND ON MAIN??

Aunt lives northeast of dad's house. West is totally off if she's on her way to aunt's.

I encourage everyone to check the Alisonchao.com website. You can actually see all the dashcam and security camera photos.

It's breaking my heart to see her riding in front of the huge Honda dealership... WHERE ARE YOU GOING??? I am sure her mom wants to just scream thru the screen.

Goudy Honda in Alhambra she is seen riding Westbound in front of it, across the street, possibly on the sidewalk? (Good girl!)
