What you've said makes alot of sense. So Little Ugly creek joins in AFTER the tree, therefore the tree wouldn't be an issue.

Good thinking!!

The photo of the council/SES workers is looking out towards the Brisbane River.
If the body made it past that pipe then it would have flushed out into the river and we probably wouldn't even be talking about Kholo Creek.

LUC joins the Kholo not too far from the bridge. The log is upstream a bit further.

I posted the photo that shows were the LUC enters the Kholo in one of my last posts Linette - the entry point is in a sunny spot of the Kholo on the right hand bank.

Photos are from standing to the north side (non brisbane river side) of the bridge.

1 - the first pylon and drop off.
2 - slightly to the right and the location of the body
3 - down towards the Brisbane River
4 - The second pylon
5 - Up Kholo creek. Little Ugly Creek goes off to the right of that photo.

1. View from the top (very visible from the road) to Little Ugly Creek
2. Down in Little Ugly Creek. About 30-40 metres from where it meets Kholo Creek

1 - Pretty much where Little Ugly Creek meets Kholo Creek. There were signs that the water went over this log (debris in the trees etc), but it's impossible to tell if it was the weekend the body was found or the floods. The floods went another 10-15 metres above that log though.

This is back up at the location I thought felt right off Wirrabara Road.
This was down next to the creek.
SES has left a bread crumb trail of tape which lead onto the pipes I found.

1 - As far as I wanted to walk. Technically this is going onto peoples land, however I was still on council land here I believe

Wakeskate, you'll find the phone next ...

Wouldn't that be great? :woohoo:

Thanks so much for the photos wakeskate, very much appreciated. I'm really surprised to see the SES tape there. Where was that exactly?

Wakeskate fantastic pictures. Really appreciate you taking them and no doubt getting a bit muddy. Now I have to study them.

This is where I ended up.
It was under the service road that runs along Mount Crosby Road.
Technically on someones land I believe, but I didn't feel like walking back through the lantana to get back to my car.

1 - What appeared to be signs of plaster spillage. Maybe not, but there were 2-3 spots of it around here.
2 - Three large pipes that run under this trail. They run down a short creek to Little Ugly Creek. The road from the small clearing off Wirrabara Road easily leads here.
3 - middle pipe
4 - right pipe
5 - left pipe

- more plaster
- The final tag which was telling SES or police where to go. I followed it the wrong way and went down little ugly creek. I am guessing they were marking the way back up to the pipes.

Hi Wakeskate - just got a break and saw your photos - thanks for those.

Did you check out the couple of spots that I suggested, just to the left of the bit of fence as you look at it from the road direction? Could you see what I meant by a little tunnel in the undergrowth there? And it falls straight down the steep bank towards Little Ugly Creek - but I would think that a body pushed through there would snag up on those trees before getting as far down as the creek.

And then the rains came.... ;)

When you get your head around it all, I would love to hear what you think happened. Your mind will be buzzing about this but try and switch off and enjoy your holiday : )

I checked out the visibility of the area on top of the only place you could really stop on Kholo Creek Bridge and it is too visible from both directions IMO. (even if the weeds were high)
The drop from there to the creek was maybe 15 metres. Yes very doable, but it doesn't feel right.

I still feel the body was dumped somewhere near the dirt road leading off Wirrabara Road.
It's very hard to know for sure without knowing the height of the creek that weekend, as there were lots of trees blocking the creek.

That was my thought as well. It wasn't a very clear path from the top to the bottom.
There is no way the rain would wash the body down the hill if it wasn't already there though.
There was one massive wash out though that looked recent.
So the ground being softened and the weight of the body on the slope could have caused it to cave in which would have washed it down.

I still don't like the location though for the car. I know how uncomfortable I felt parking there. Imagine someone with a body in the car.

I still feel up off Wirrabara road is more likely.

The other thing was the massive log blocking the exit of Little Ugly Creek.
It was about 2-2.5 metres off the bottom of the creek and maybe 2 metres in diameter.
I wouldn't be surprised if the location was up near the scout grounds somewhere for it to be washed down near the bridge. Again it's something we will not find out till the trial or another large rain event.
