A couple things--
1) I got jury summons today. I know I'm not the only nerd around here who actually hopes to get picked or at least see some of the process from that perspective. I agree there needs to be some serious overhaul of the current jury system. This case proved that, IMO.
2) I was teaching a class today about behavior, and discussed how the defense team made sure to have Casey set her chair in the lowest position, outfitted her in ill-fitting clothing and such to make her look more diminutive. It was a very small class with only five participants. Three were younger, like rather early 20s, while the other two were older women. Only the two older women knew who Casey is. On the one hand, I was disappointed because I want people to know about the injustice for Caylee. On the other hand, I'm glad she's not well-known (according to my super scientific study), because she's horrid. But Caylee wasn't horrid. She was sweet and loving and playful and darling.
Sigh. I can't believe it's been so long since it all went down. That's what brought me to websleuths. I kept seeing the news about her and thought, "I know there's places online that study this stuff... " and here y'all were and here I still am. The amount of reading and research I did rivals only with my year of graduate school. I read an autopsy report for a snake, for Pete's sake. As did many of you... For those who didn't... Spoiler alert it was blunt force trauma - vehicular. Poor snake got ran over by a car.
