This is how it it relates to marginalized communities, IMO.

The Toronto LGBTQ community - and other people, including WSers - have been concerned and frightened for *years* that there may be a serial killer targeting them. It took a long time and a lot of work for their voices to be heard. Rightly or wrongly, it remains to be seen as the case develops, TPS did not appear to be taking this as seriously as one would like until very recently.

There are also very legitimate questions still unanswered in their handling of Tess Richey’s and Alloura Wells’ cases (same area of Toronto).

Of the people whom he might have murdered, most of them are men of colour, as well. Sure right now he is charged with just Kinsman and Esen's murder, but it remains to be seen whether he'll be linked to Navaratnam, Kayhan, and Faizi. His Facebook friends list was particularly and startlingly chock full of Middle Eastern men before his page was removed.

Yes, and as reported in MSM, at least a couple of these men were hiding this part of their lives from their friends and families, and therefore less likely to tell people where they were going and more likely to hide their tracks more. Probably a sexual preference/fetish that he chose men of colour, but also pretty strategic...

I find that Star article confusing. I'm pretty sure this guy targetted gay men because he is himself gay. Just like other serial killers target women because they're straight. And pedophiles target children. Not sure how this related to marginalized groups.

People are targeted by killers for many reasons, related or unrelated to their marginalization. But the article refers to how marginalized groups often don't get the same response from LE, and that was the point, imo.

Thank you both for your posts. I should have added those points to what I said about “marginalized communities”.

I have a LOT more thoughts & things I want to say, but many of them veer into the realm of speculation, or hearsay, or not yet mentioned in MSM etc, and I’m thinking about how to phrase and write about them without breaching TOS...

(And as a side note: those listed as last seen “Queen and Ossington” are sometimes/often missing patients from CAMH, mental and addiction treatment centre).

Thank you! Yes, the men who are listed as "do not approach" are most likely patients of CAMH, imo. I see that statement used all to often with missing people from the Queen/Ossington area, but the centre cannot legally confirm that they are patients.

Here's a guy, Robert Plewes, that vanished June 30, 1984 from Toronto and guess where his vehicle was found???? Outside the west gate of Algonquin Park.

As I understand it, it’s officially established that these two went to Barrie to sell drugs? While I think we shouldn’t forget that they are still missing, I don’t think we’ll find they’re connected to Bruce McArthur.

I'm also increasingly confused about all these properties. Does BM own ANY of them? I read that he declared bankruptcy. My parents declared bankruptcy twice (unfortunately) and you cannot really purchase property soon after that happens (the last time my parents declared was 2011, we still do not own a home). It seems that there was not a long period of time since his declaration and this acquisition of new properties. And many are linked to RH. It's dodgy to say the least.

Trying to put this delicately, wondering where BM purchased supplies, imagining that all those gardens would need lots of fertilizer.
Many would not like to be stuck in traffic on a hot day beside a landscaping truck because of the odour of powerful fertilizer...
