LOL...I didn't! I thought it was funny. My husband thought it was too.

I have two theories about them saying they're not getting married

1)they've fibbed to us in the past about being together-maybe to throw off paparazzi-maybe some African ceremony is pending-or maybe they'll do it in France out of respect to her mom or.............scenario 2 (maybe Brad's even waiting for her to reconcile with her dad so he can walk her down the aisle??Or..............................

2) Angelina doesn't want to marry him (I'm sure he'd marry her) because she kinds to want to keep that mysterious thing, like they're not tied down, etc. Kind of like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell-Look how happy they've been.
Angelina just seems so unconventional and doesn't want to follow the norm. Maybe she thinks that will keep Brad interested-the fact that he can be with her, but can't really make it official on paper keeps him guessing, like they're not obligated-they're with eachother because they want to be. She saw what marriage has done to both of them in the past. Maybe she feels this is a better way! He has said he's traditional and I'm sure he'd marry her in a heartbeat.

BTW, I've been hurt before by my ex-husband leaving me for another woman, however, I didn't apply my past experiences to what Brad and Jen went through. It's unfortunate it didn't work out, but when I see Brad and Angelina, I see fireworks. And, I love what they're doing for Africa. The African adoption rates have really gone up since she adopted Zahara. Hell, if I can't get pregnant (like I'm going on year 3 now-not looking for sympathy, in the process of getting fertility help like I've said before), I'm thinking of going over there or to China. She really makes adoption look good and she loves those kids like her own. You can see it. Just seeing the two with Shiloh makes me want to go back to the fertility specialist and really get the ball rolling and maybe even adopt on top of that! Hell, we have 4 dogs. The more, the merrier (not comparing dogs to kids).
I find them to be a highly inspirational couple and the two of them make me want to be a better person. I can't say that about many other movie stars.:)
Just my :twocents: Ellen13
Anyone on the same page as me. Ok if you're not. We all have our own opinions about these two. I printed out the pic of them with new baby shiloh and I hung it up as hope for having a baby one day with the man I love.:blowkiss: My hubby doesn't look like Brad Pitt, he looks more like a cross between Michael Douglas and Barry Manilow if you can imagine that and a little on the heavy side, but I love him just the same.LOL!!!!

BTW, warning, slightly controversial, but I doubt we'll ever see Oprah acknowledge all that Jolie and Pitt do for AFrica because she probably doesn't approve and feels loyal to Jen. Just my guess. Please, not meant to be controversial, just my thoughts.

Great post. You put a lot of thought into it. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I agree with the thought that AJ is the one putting the skids on the marriage. I am sorry that you got hurt the first go round, but sounds like you have a winner on the second.

deandaniellws,
You're too kind. Your post was so sweet and it made my night. Yes, the second time is much better. However, I feel like a hypocrite supporting Angie and Brad, knowing they probably fell in love early on, just like ex hubby did. So, you'd think I should take Jen's side because I've been in her shoes. However, it's just so meant to be that I can't deny their chemistry!! Sounds like you have a nice hubby too!! You're a teacher like me, right?
Regards,
Ellen

Yes. I taught for 20 years. I am retired now. :blowkiss:

Personally, I think they're already married. I think they married last fall before Pitt adopted her kids. I would think it would be difficult to adopt them otherwise.

Of course, I could be wrong. :D :D

Rosie O'Donnell adopted kids
Meg Ryan adopted a kid
Camryn Manheim adopted a kid

And they're all single parents (or Rosie was at the time).

Why would you think that a California judge would say no to Brad Pitt's adoption of these two kids when he/she knew that Angelina was already having a biological child of the two parents? That adoption was probably the quickiest and easiest one on record. Just my opinion, of course.

Add Calista Flockhart and Michelle Pfeifer to the list of single parent adoptees. Also, didn't Mia Farrow adopt about a zillion kids when she was single?

OH, and Angelina Jolie was single when she first adopted them. I would think a judge adding a dad to the mix would be a good thing. :D

I disagree..
Just because Brad and Jen weren't legally divorced when the baby was concieved doesn't mean he cheated on her.

Those kids were all adopted by a single parent. I would think adding another name would be more difficult, but, as I said, I could be wrong.

I know when I took my ex to court to have his parents rights relinguished, my current hubby and I were not yet married. The Judge told us we would need to get married before he could legally adopt her. Of course, this was a good 15-16 years ago. Perhaps things have changed.

I think adopting kids and taking the personal and financial responsibility for them is a bit easier than trying to get rid of the personal and financial responsibility of a kid, especially when there's no one to take it over as would be the case once you remarried. Brad has already adopted these kids and they already have his last name, so its a done deal now anyway. Can you imagine being born in a third world country with absolutely no hope of any future or of going or seeing anything in your life to being adopted by one of the richest couples in America and having every opportunity in the world opened up to you? Hopefully, these kids will one day grow up to continue the good work started by their mother and father and not sit around like Paris Hilton with the "we deserve it" attitude.

Nah, I doubt they're legally married.

Not difficult at all, I bet. Can you say $$$$$$$$?

And, I could be wrong too! :)

. The National Enquirer is claiming that Angelina Jolie's not so sure Brad Pitt is the father of her baby. A source told the tabloid that Angelina was with another man about the time she found herself impregnated and she's been suffering quietly wondering if it's Brad's kid or not. You might remember that it was about nine months ago that Angelina was hanging out with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller in London. And right after that little visit, he reportedly was going around town telling pals he scored. Hmmmmmmmm.....

I read this this AM on another site.

The National Enquirer also claimed that an alien baby was born to a cow in a field in Idaho.

Lord, I would think that this would qualify for a lawsuit...
