Christopher Sowell, who is being charged with the 2013 murder of 11-year-old Jessica Williams, has had his plea date in Circuit Court rescheduled again.

Sowell was set to appear in January, but was rescheduled for a plea date on April 1...

Information on the Williams case continues to be restricted because of a gag order.

The case against a teen charged in the death of Gosnell girl will not be prosecuted, according to documents from the Mississippi County Circuit Court.

An order of Nolle Prosse by the State of Arkansas in the case of Christopher Sowell was granted Wednesday...

However, the order states more investigation is required in the case pending against Sowell. Furthermore, the State of Arkansas can choose to re-file the case "within the time prescribed by applicable law."

But he admitted to pushing her off the bridge two times. Once, where she fell on land and came back up to the bridge and told Sowell she was going to tell her dad what he did. Then, a second time, after strangling her, where she fell into the water. Her COD was strangulation and drowning.

Just because there was no DNA from Sowell found on her, he can't be charged?! Wow!

They've left the door open to prosecute at a later date but, given Sharp's involvement, many the waters have become too muddy. Was Sharp responsible for her death, too, in addition to raping her? You'd think those charges would have been brought against him during the rape trial.

I hope justice is served and that Jesdica is resting in peace.

Investigators no longer believe teen killed 11-year-old girl

Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington's office alerted media Wednesday that the Arkansas State Crime Lab has eliminated Sowell as a suspect after they realized his original statement to investigators did not match up with scientific evidence from the case.

I wonder if they will be bringing murder charges against Sharp?

I wondered from as soon as Sharp became involved if Sowell was covering for him as he's a juvenile.
