GUILTY AR - Malik Drummond, 2, Searcy, 23 Nov 2014 - #2

I had a feeling from the moment this story hit that this little guy didn't take an evening stroll before dinner. Even IF he did, what are the odds that someone would see him and say "Oh, I think I will just take this child" and turn into a kidnapper. It is very unlikely. I did hold hope that he really did sneak out and would be found within a reasonable amount of time. I don't think that is the case anymore. I have said from the start they need to look way closer to home. I hate to think a parent or an adult he trusted could hurt him but we see it here every freakin day! So tired of these precious innocent babies getting hurt and/or killed. Where are you sweet boy??

The most detailed report, IIRC, was an MSM broadcast, before the search was moved from the church, where Josh Berry reported that he had spoken to the SM after she'd spent a long time, spread over two days was my impression, since she'd taken the lie detector test answering LE's questions. I've not seen it confirmed in any detail by any other party, so it's what she said, again. Sourced below

Agreed, they should start from square one and go back to the house and surrounding areas. If dad knows nothing about it and was sleeping and he became missing. The person who took him and did whatever to him couldn't have gotten far even if it was 30 minutes. If SOMEONE is lying then just like Elaina Steinfurth, he could very well be feet from where he was last seen. JMO

I don't think they did search very well IMO. I think they gave them the benefit of the doubt, but if the girlfriend did fail the LD test wouldn't they have gone back to the house?

IIRC, Cpl. Hernandez gave a MSM broadcast interview where he's asked how thoroughly they searched the home. He answered that the search was thorough not just at their home but any home LE thought little Malik Drummond could be hidden, underneath "a mattress" everywhere... Maybe it was titled 'behind the search' or close to it. He points out crawl spaces, among other examples, of where and how the search was conducted. This little boy is only 3 feet tall and a slight 40 lbs, so I guess the Mayor's cat comment stems from how LE has left no stone un-turned anywhere he could conceivably be in Searcy, had he roamed off on his own.

Have there been any televised recordings of Malik's father or the father's GF stating what they think has happened to Malik? Usually we see the parents/caretakers asking for their child to be returned. Surely they don't believe Malik is lost "of his own accord". One instance in MSM of his father shown sitting on a stoop at his home, in tears, pretty much saying to whomever has his little son to bring him back and they won't get in trouble. He must've told reporters about his other son's fatal hit by a car, at the time. The other time the Dad was quoted personally but did not appear, he was said to be unhappy about being misrepresent in the press, thus not giving any interviews, as well as to not having known that the search had been called off, until a reporter informed him. The Dad, like the bio-mom, and maternal grandmother, Nana, must have concluded early that their child was taken, from the sound of things.

Thank you, FindHG! I remember that now. So neither are currently speaking to the public via MSM, I guess. I may be wrong, but I thought it was customary for the parents of missing children to plead for the child's return. I wonder if LE has suggested that the father and GF do so. In other cases that I have followed I have seen parents begging for the child's return and there have been quite a few that seemed to be doing so because they were advised to do so by LE, FBI, and/or a search group.

There's no need to ask about specific information pertaining to the investigation. No offense intended but this isn't a television show, it's a very serious and active investigation. All information that can be released is being done so. Thanks to the large majority of you who seem to understand.

I don't get it either. SOMEONE had to see him at some point. I mean noone is even saying they saw him 2 weeks ago. Yet supposedly he'd only been there 2 weeks I think they said. So what gives?

One little boy is lost and nobody saw him get lost. He has left no scent trail beyond the park he played at a before, a straight shot down the road from his house. A relentless week long organized search with trained dogs and with more volunteers "than you can count" as Chief Clark put it one of the first days, all came up empty. Nothing gives.

We had 3 possible scenarios when this case started......and 2 weeks later we still do.

1) He walked out the door and got lost.

2) He was outside playing after dark and got snatched by someone.

3) He was harmed and hidden by someone inside the circles of his own family during the 2 weeks he was at Dad's.


It's very frustrating that no evidence seems to outweigh one, more than the others...........
