It makes me sad to see Loan's father cutting uo his lunch for him... :( He takes his son to ride horses at Grandma's farm and he never sees him again?
A poignant image.

I read early on in the case, that Loan was taken away, unbeknownst to him & without asking permission. He was upset & furious.

( Mentioned in one of the 1st articles, I’ll see if I can find a link )

This from the article above

The father, José Peña, said his son “was stolen” and that the suspects had attempted to distract him during the gathering. “My mother is a poor old lady who invited people for lunch,” he told LN+ news channel. “She would never have thought they would do that”

So, if Laudelina has already sold one or more of her babies into this trafficking network (for the money), then maybe she's been trying to get pregnant again without success. In desperation, she decided to just take her brother's child and sell him. Loan wasn't supposed to be at the lunch, so she would have had to call someone from the lunch to come and get the child. The 50,000 pesos (about $2,800) she had on her when she was arrested could be the money she got for the sale.
Would you really have a baby shower and photos if you were going to sell the baby?! Surely the pregnancy would be hidden

If you read the whole article you'll see it does make sense because the police don't believe that the boy wandered off on his own. From another MSM article

After lunch, the child left the home with Benítez, Ramírez and Millapi and some of his cousins, according to prosecutors, travelling in the direction of an orange grove a few miles away. The boy’s father did not realise they had left the property.

The trio of adults later realised that Loan wasn’t with them and called for assistance.

Benítez is Loan's uncle, so obviously his father didn't think anything was amiss. All three mentioned above were arrested in connection with his disappearance. It was stated in another article posted earlier that the police don't believe they even made it to the orange grove.
I also wonder about the safety of the other young cousins. I hope this little boy is found. Horrifying story.

After arresting former police officer Francisco Méndez and raiding his house, judicial sources confirmed that the eighth person involved in the case of Loan's disappearance will testify this Monday in Goya, Corrientes.

The non-governmental organization La Alameda, responsible for combating human trafficking, slave labor and child exploitation, requested the preliminary investigation of the governor of Corrientes, Gustavo Valdés. The request was also extended to provincial senator Diego Pellegrini and Laudelina Peña's former lawyer, José Fernández Codazzi.

In her last statement before the federal judge of Goya, Loan's aunt (Laudelina) reported that her first lawyer, José Fernández Codazzi, gave her 50 thousand pesos to establish the hypothesis of the "accident" in that suspicious nocturnal statement before the provincial prosecutor Gustavo Roubineau, despite the fact that the case was already in the federal jurisdiction. They say they went to that meeting with the provincial senator, Diego Pellegrini in his van. That is why the court recently summoned the legislator to testify as a witness.

-Gustavo has been the governor since 2017. In 2021, Pellegrini moved to the Senate.

Lots of articles about a demonstration/march yesterday led by Loan's parents (seen below). Loan's parents lead the march in a pickup truck. They are followed by villagers holding signs asking for the boy's quick return.

I've seen articles where the car transporting Maciel to testify was stoned and the Judge getting mobbed with protesters when she leaves the courthouse. The people are fed up.

This is new:

The magistrate is looking, so far without success, for a blue and white refrigerator, which, according to Camila Peña, was brought to Grandma Catalina's house by Carlos Pérez and María Victoria Caillava. Some investigators suspect that Loan's lifeless body could have been hidden in that small refrigerator, which has not been found in the multiple raids carried out in 9 de Julio that tragic afternoon.

-They must mean a cooler, like for drinks. It doesn't make sense for them to bring a refrigerator.
It does refer to a cooler, also when the articles used to mention “un botín” they were referring to a type of shoe like a short boot and not to loot (which is another meaning of the word botin)

Many theories and statements based on assumptions or suspicions and very little valid evidence. In Spanish, you would say “qué desgárriate está este!

I don't think it was a plot between a bunch of people. I don't know if it was an unfortunate accident or an evil madman, what I do believe is that whatever happened to the little boy was less complicated, what doesn’t make it less tragic than it is.
Hope he is found safe and sound soon, regardless of the odds against

I always assume, since The Franklin Coverup, that there are compromised officials (govt and NGOs) who are involved re: trafficking, worldwide, but this case is really bringing that to light. Hoping against hope this little guy is alive and found soon.
