Here some photos of the search, not all from today.
www.fr.de/panorama/bremervoerde-suche-polizei-einsatz-bilder-vermisst-arian-fotos-zr-93032724.html

At photo 22 according to a report from media N-TV Arian's footprints were found during Wed/Thurs. night, where particularly his toe prints were clear. The footprints are following the River Oste, going north. Also, dogs are reported to have picked up a scent (it sounds like near the footprints).

At photo 24 they mention divers searched a pond or some such small body of water but nothing new discovered.

Edited with some new information.

Missing Arian is “probably not afraid of the dark”

As of: April 29, 2024 9:41 a.m

The six-year-old perceives things differently because of his autism, said occupational therapist Jutta Berthold to NDR Lower Saxony. She works for the Lebenshilfe Bremervörde/Zeven autism outpatient clinic and advises the emergency services on the search for Arian. The six-year-old will probably not have the fears that non-autistic people of the same age feel, said Berthold. These include fear of the dark, the forest or scenarios about what could happen. "This conserves the resources it has, meaning it doesn't use up any energy that would be valuable for survival outside," said Berthold.

Can't link my Google translation, sorry.

TV 10pm:
The big search operation is now being stopped.
Investigators will only follow up on new leads that come in.
The boy was not found.
-.-.-
Google translation

It seems like they should continue searching the river and shores, at least smaller teams, but I am not a river-searching expert. This could be another case where a child just got further than assumed possible- either on foot or (sorry to say) carried by a river.

"An acquaintance of the family, who had repeatedly posted messages from Arian's parents on Facebook in recent days, has now called on [private] volunteers to stop their search... The concern: Search parties roaming through the region could drive the boy even deeper into hiding, as Arian, who is autistic, is considered to be extremely shy of people...."

Also some volunteers have become injured while searching.

5 LE investigators are "currently evaluating clues and traces and is trying to put forward hypotheses...Arian may have fallen into the Oste river, said the spokesman. The flow rate is high..."

Missing Arian: Police talk about potentially tragic North Sea theory

Was standing:May 10, 2024, 4:57 a.m

Google translation, excerpt:
The starting point of the investigation is the recording from a surveillance camera that shows Arian after leaving his parents' home in Bremervörde -Elm. The autistic boy was walking into a forest area in a sweater and socks. One theory from investigators is that Arian fell into the Oste River , which was searched over a length of over twelve kilometers. Footprints leading along the river were also discovered. According to the investigators, these could have come from Arian. If the scenario played out like this, he could even have been driven into the North Sea.
As investigators explained on May 1st, the flow speed of the Oste had recently been very high. In addition, the Ostesperrwerk is open, which is why the boy could have drifted away unhindered. It is only 45 kilometers to the Elbe and thus to the North Sea. As police spokesman Heiner van der Werp recently estimated, a piece of wood would have drifted out to sea within ten hours.

(Summarized by me):

Update from May 8, 2024: After a woman watching a live-stream of the Oste reported seeing something in the river (about 30 km. away from Bremervörde), the police and fire department searched the river by dog, drone, and helicopter again.

Unfortunately nothing was reported found.

Searching is continuing.

On Thursday, the police launched another major operation...to search a 70-kilometer-long section between Bremervörde and the mouth of the Oste into the Elbe...Special attention was paid to shore areas that are difficult to access by boat...

very sad
hope they catch whoever did this
From the article, using Google Translate:

The police have several theories about what might have happened to Arian. The most likely explanation is that Arian had an accident without anyone else being involved. What speaks against a criminal case is that the emergency services found small footprints on the Oste, which probably came from Arian.

As far as I can tell, it's a very familiar story that has no outward malice involved. Arian was a young autistic boy who went on an adventure into the world, succumbed to the elements or to a fall or to water, and didn't come home. As a fellow autistic person, every single time, it breaks my heart.

MOO

The farmer that found the body while mowing the grass doesn't understand why the search troops didn't see the child (who is presumably Arian) in their previous searches: "They were everywhere there."
"„Ich wusste sofort, dass es der Junge ist“, sagt der Landwirt, der die Kinderleiche entdeckt hatte, der Deutschen Presse-Agentur (dpa). Er habe das Oberteil erkannt. „Die sind da überall gewesen“, wundert sich der geschockte Mann, dass die Polizei nicht vorher schon auf die Leiche gestoßen war."

I don't know. This is a red flag - child could have been placed there.

On TV they said, search crews had to the location, Arian was found, 3 times!
I also think, he was later placed there.
Yesterday they said, the cause of death was still unknown. An obduction is carried out, at least.

Confirmation.

Police confirm after autopsy: Child's body from the field is Arian

Everything indicated that the child's body found on Monday in a field in the Lower Saxony municipality of Estorf was the missing Arian. Now – after the forensic examination in Hamburg – the police have officially confirmed this. The child's body is six-year-old Arian from Bremervörde.

The autopsy of the child, who had been missing for more than two months, found "no evidence of criminal acts" and there were no signs of a crime. To protect the family, investigators did not disclose the cause of death.
