Channel 7 News just reported they are sending evidence to W.A. for further fornesic examination.

Interesting anyone know what this would be, what does Perth have that we dont.

Probably to do with pollen, if I remember rightly UWA has Australia's expert in pollens and detecting where different pollens originate from. Possibly sending pollen from a vehicle or off clothing to try and place gbc at the bridge. Just a guess

Thanks Keentoknow. I was thinking for some reason that the medical centre would be a little more pleasant than the general cells and hence GBC wanting to stay there. I really don't know what I thought that :waitasec: - jail is jail after all.

He would not want to stay there. Reasons being 24hr supervision. Very busy place an noisy. There are other prisoners in there and no privacy.

Can any of the locals here tell me if there are any horses on Wirrabara Road or in paddocks that lead down to the creek?

Prison is a very nasty place to be.

GBC has top level legal counsel who probably secured his place in the prison hospital...I'm sure they will find he has nothing wrong with him and will be back in the remand wing where he belongs.

Interesting to note - a friend of mine was recently arrested. He has a heart condition and requires daily meds. His doctor faxed his prescription over and the prison filled it the same day, then he was shoved into gen pop because remand was "full"....the police wanted him to suffer more like. He got absolutely NO special treatment, in fact quite the opposite...and he was/is innocent and the charges were dropped...not before he spent a week in jail and lost 8kg.

This is what happens when you don't "lawyer up". When he finally did get to see a lawyer, they had an emergency bail hearing and he was released immediately - he shouldn't have been in there in the first place. The reaction of the legal system was to shrug and say "too bad".

The experts name is Dr Lynne Milne and she is famous for helping to solve a previous murder

Mani, Brookfield is very rural. There are heaps of horse paddocks some with horses and some without and a few properties that lead to tributaries of major creeks in this area. The council does try to leave creeks off the residential land so mostly these flow over council areas but still the properties would be next or flow into major creeks.

Wow can a prisoner could ask to be kept in the medical ward? I didn't know this. I thought that GBC was under medical centre care as an advisement of the actual medical centre of the facility.

But this does have merits because if they are taking the extra care for him he has no excuses in delaying his bail hearing (not that I think he would) and the facility would have a good idea of his mental state in terms of his fitness to be looking after the girls. If his parents are required to help him with his mental stuff then I can't see them caring for the girls as an additional daily load to their dear son.

No a prisoner cannot ask to be kept in a medical centre. A prisoner can ask for protection. He is in the hospital as routine. They also have to wait for results blood tests re Hiv, drugs ect in case prisoner needs segregation

Perhaps he is afraid to be alone?

Or afraid of group dining rooms or showers oe exercise yards?

They might have a lab in WA that specialises in certain types of DNA testing eg. mitachondrial DNA testing from hair samples. I remember hearing about a murder case in the US where the mitachondrial tests were going to possibly take a year to be analysed and results returned to police. I am not sure if it was a backlog or the test itself took that long.
In Ireland for instance, there is apparently only one lab in Cork that conducts DNA tests.

Cheers

Thanks, I know it is rural and I have seen horses on properties around Brookfield but I was wondering if there are horses on properties on Wirrabara Road or any other roads that abut the Kholo Creek?

Cheers

anyways.. it will be nice for Gerard to be in Gen Pop...... people to talk with, mix with, exchange war stories... Gerard will want to blab and blab, start up a committee, maybe a temporary scout troop, and no doubt, what he will let slip will be real currency . tradeable stuff..

"see, it was like this.. '... its amazing what a bit of incommunicado can do to a chatty sort of bloke.. its like... like.. being let out to play to get out of observation.

Trooper.. a very good friend of ours can't be with us tonight; but you are doing him proud.. you think the same, you talk the same - are you sure you are not twins? I would swear you are from the same gene pool!

Keep up the good work in his absence!

I don't know much about Australian gaols but as I undrestand it. there is very little demarcation of prisoners as far as the nature of the offence they have committed or are alleged to have committed is concerned.

Child sex offenders and persons known to be police informants ("dogs" in Australian prison slang) are seperated from the mainstream for their own protection, and prisoners who are threatened by other inmates are sometimes put on protection but other than that prisoners who have committed relatively minor offences are housed alongside murderers and rapists as I understand.

Keentoknow obviously either works or has worked in the system or at least Knows people who do so I may stand corrected here no pun intended.

Until he breaks the unwritten rules ... Or starts trading information (almost second nature )... And does not understand the consequences... Help I want to be understood .... Sympathy ....anything......oh dear
