I missed that. Who said they believe she was killed in the process of the kidnapping? Usually a suspect will kidnap then take the victim to an undisclosed location, and then rape the victim, and then they are murdered after then. I know when children are kidnapped, raped, and murdered they are most likely murdered within 3 hours after being taken. I think with an adult victim the time may be longer before they are killed but not by much. JMO

She would have been killed in the kidnapping process in the sense that she was taken and then possibly held against her will. All throughout that process it is considered kidnapping. It's just semantics.

I don't think he has mental issues. I think he is just mean as hell and everyone knew it, especially his own family.

People that harm animals will have no qualms about harming humans.

In segment about mother shooting - his stepfather filed for an order of protection against ZA in 2004 - "we live in fear of our lives - ZA is a danger to us and to the community.'

3 months after HB disappeared in 2011 - Rebecca Earp filed an assault case against ZA - he said he would "shoot her just like he did his Mom."

Then - Screenshot of Amber Bray's paperwork, in her handwriting: He held a revolver to her head and threatened to shoot her before the 'gutting' threat.

Yes, I think Hollye added it to hers somewhere on here, probably the beginning of each thread. What I would like to know is this....if ZA acted alone, and he threw out Holly's lunch bag, sim card and phone, and was headed from her house to his...what side of the road were the things on?
Assuming he was driving were they on the left, meaning he swerved the car over to toss it on the side of the road as opposed to throwing it over the car to the right. Am I making any sense? Unless he forced Holly to do it or Holly threw them out to try to leave a trail. (Just wondering if he had an accomplice throw them out as they went or if he acted alone.)

Thanks. I thought someone was saying she was killed when he was in the process of kidnapping her at her home. That is the part that confused me as if it all happened at the same time.

I think there were stages in the process.

Kidnapped her first.
Took her to another location (probably his home since no one lived there but him I think)
Bound and gagged her.
Raped her for a certain period of time.
Murdered her and discarded her body thereafter.

Investigators won't rule out another arrest. It sounds like they think someone else could have been involved, but no evidence.

Its unbelievable that this man was still walking around free.

It's my twin and my fiftieth birthday..we're in a lodge on the south shore of Nova Scotia... The ocean waves are dark, foreboding yet hypnotic in the power and strength of their beauty....and timelessness...
Somehow I feel the power of interconnected ness and beauty in nature and know that holly is a part of it all now..
Prayers if strength to her family, friends and all of us here at WS as we await news ...

Another type of kidnapping is Especially aggravated kidnapping. It is also false imprisonment, as defined in § 39-13-302 b:

Accomplished with a deadly weapon or by display of any article used or fashioned to lead the victim to reasonably believe it to be a deadly weapon;
Where the victim was under the age of thirteen at the time of the removal or confinement;
Committed to hold the victim for ransom or reward, or as a shield or hostage; or
Where the victim suffers serious bodily injury.

Especially aggravated kidnapping is a Class A felony. If the offender voluntarily releases the victim alive or voluntarily provides information leading to the victim’s safe release, such actions shall also be considered by the court as a mitigating factor at the time of sentencing[iv].

Oceanblue: They didn't say anything else about Rebecca Earp, but showed her FB page. I would imagine we'll hear more on this shortly.

To those of you with more experience in these matters:
Why would they not be able to say if they've recovered her body?

Remember there is almost a half million dollar reward? By not giving any details, they will be able to sieve through who is lying and who needs something. Also, the others involved will be worried to death about what evidence they have recovered. If she was put in the well...and they must have had good evidence to support that to spend so much time there...it would have been almost impossible to put a body in there and remove it without leaving some hair and possibly fingernails or maybe bones depending on how long it was there. Those things do not decomposed, and I'm sure they pumped it dry.

Also, they somehow suspected that she had been killed during the kidnapping. That could be something that was told them, but I do think they have evidence.

Aggravated assault - got 6 months for shooting his mother in 2004 - was allowed to serve in rehab. 2nd case he also got rehab. Wow.

Apparently he is a fan of 'Taken' made in 2008

Shot a poor innocent dog and his mom? What a piece of work. Why was he not behind bars? Does anyone have a link to his FB? TIA

Bravo, there are many ZA's in our communities, especially where the good ole boy network controls the JustUs system of favors and corruption, imo.

TN was the Meth capitol of the US in 2010, and Decatur County, TN was the meth capitol of TN..

I am absolutely infuriated that ZA was enabled to manipulate the justice system for over a decade without consequences, allowing him to prey on Holly Bobo and likely other innocent victims in the TN community. How many unknown victims did ZA have. ZA's long rap sheet of violent felonies is synonymous to that of Donnie F Jones; abductor/murderer of Megan Sharpton(TN) 07/2012.. DFJ's rap sheet was over 2 decades long.. DFJ also escaped justice time & time again unscaved..
Seems obvious now why TN Governor Haslam was adamant to pass the
'PUBLIC SAFETY Action Plan in January 2012'..& the anti-meth legislation in January 2014...

Oh I so agree and unfortunately he is not the type to know when the jig is up just plead guilty. I swear some either like the attention, etc. or just want to get out of their cell.

It seems some families in these kind of tragedies want a trial to know exactly what happened and other's don't. I pray for the Bobo's.

You will never see a full blown narcissist plea their case.

They are convinced they are smarter than anyone and can fool at least one juror into believing the BS their lawyer is going to spew.

And look at how many times this one <mod snip> has thwarted justice. He feels he can do it again.

I hope the presiding Judge is not one he has ever appeared before because they may have been one of the ones that gave him a sweetheart deal for all the violent crimes he has done and just got a slap on the wrist or rehab. Ugggh.

In my view, the kidnapping never ended. As long as she was killed before she was free from the kidnapper(s), it was during the kidnapping in the eyes of the law.

I really don't believe in suing much but in this case I think the Bobos should sue the state/counties that kept letting this very violent offender out to walk the streets time and time again.
