Just because I don't partake of all that is available on line does not mean I want to lose that right. I have heard for some time now that the government is looking to find ways to make us pay for viewing certain things on line in the name of what is good for us. No different than book banning.

Agreed my friend, I dont like things like *advertiser censored* and gore either but as I have said before I only make decisions for myself and my main problem with banning things like that is who gets to make the decisions what should be banned and what shouldnt? I dont know anyone I trust to make that decision for everyone.

But yea, I hear you.
 
Just want to say kudos to you guys and the mods for the discussion and great insights since I joined. I'm stepping away for a while to sit in the sun and read frivolous novels, garden and try to enjoy my family. This case has taken a toll on me and the more I read, the more I fear being desensitized to the horror of not only LRM's actions, but other infamous killers I hadn't heard of until reading your comments - not trying to to place blame at all, I just feel like I'm in a dark place recently and need a timeout. This forum is great and from what I've seen, the moderation is top notch. Thanks again :)

Actually, no, I don't. I know a bit about that case because I lived in ATL for a time and worked with someone whose children attended the same school as the son. I've even driven by Karr's house numerous times b/c it was very close to my own home (at least I was TOLD it was his house). But I'm relatively new to crime forums, so I don't know any of the details other than what I've read here recently while lurking those threads lol

What happened, if someone doesn't mind taking the time to tell me?
 
It says in the media LM will be returning before the end of the month. But is there any indication of how long before the court case begins, and, in your opinion, how long the case will go on for?

Thank you for that link Jujercu. It is truly heartbreaking to read the family's letter. Their pride in Jun Lin is unmistakable, and their grief so palpable.

Jun Lin sounded like such a beautiful young man

At the same time as we are mourning Jun Lin, please remember his kindness, hard work and passion for life. Thank you!

I know I'm really the worst person at this type of thing, but I listened to the audio clip of the "sneezes" and you sure couldn't prove it by me. Is there anyone else who doesn't know those sounds were sneezes for sure, or is it just me? I know it's insignificant. Just curious about the extent of the limitations of my listening skills!

JL was a man who was not thin, he was maybe 180 pounds, how does LRM, who is 130 pounds get him in the bathtub, at dead weight, people are much more heavier than alive.How did he do that without an accomplice?

Second question that I have is how do you severe limbs and bones with a kitchen knife?

All of this does not make any sense to me.

Could LRM be accomplice?

I have watched the video, one time, and never again, but from my perspective he was going through the motions very void of feelings. It was like watching a very horrible movie with the star who is a very bad actor.

Something in me believes there were three people in the room.

Just my thoughts.

i played the vid again....and listened thru headphones...i didnt watch, just listened so i could focus on just the sounds....

there were 2 very distinct sneezes.....

Thanks. I'm sure headphones make a BIG difference. I had my ds listen to the clip (no, he had NO idea what he was listening to and it was JUST the sneezes, nothing more!!!) and he listened hard for a while and was like "oh, sneezes" I got all excited that he had confirmed it -- until I realized he'd finally just noticed the word sneezes in the title of the clip lol

i dont think there is another person in the room....but maybe someone else thinks so?

some may have missed it if they were not listening to the vid or trying not to pay close attention....

i missed it the first time because i was trying to get thru it fast....then doing my stills, i had it on mute....

In my case it was a female and, to my knowledge, the passengers were not informed. If they were, I wasn't paying attention. I can't remember how I noticed her, but she did attract my attention for some reason and I was able to figure out that she was handcuffed and her relationship to her escorts. She also was seated in the last row of the plane in the center of three seats flanked by the escort.

I do wonder if the method of transportation would depend on the crime alleged or public notoriety. I have to think the last thing LE or the airline would want on a commercial international flight would be someone who might pose a threat to the passengers and crew or whose mere presence could stir up some serious problems. My guess would be that they wouldn't take a chance like that in this case, fwiw. jmo

I wonder what the protocol is when the prisoner has to use the bathroom. It's not like you can fit two people in most coach class bathrooms that I've seen. And that is a long flight!

I'm not sure I agree with the 180 pounds, unless some media source has stated that. I'm 6'3" and 185 and although I'm lean, I wouldn't say skinny. Jun looked pretty skinny to me and not nearly my height. I'm guessing he's about 140 to 150. Just my humble opinion.

Yes, extremely mundane, but not. I imagine they allow the person to use the lavatory privately while remaining cuffed (to bad, so sad for the "procedural issues" that presents lol) and limit the time frame very strictly. I don't know that for a fact, though. I don't recall the prisoner I traveled with using the restroom. But, iirc, it wasn't a long flight.

My dog sneezes sometimes. Weirdly she does it for attention sometimes. Maybe the puppy sneezed.
