Greta Van Susteren has made several comments on her Twitter page about the case. She also accuses the US Netherlands Embassy of “looking the other way” and “not being friends of Beth Holloway.” Interesting.
Is twitter GVS's only platform these days or does she have a tv show on cable somewhere? Anyone know?

This is what her twitter account shows:

Lawyer/Journalist/Anchor of The Record on Newsmax at 6p eastern daily

Also, Wikipedia said in 2017 she joined Voice of America as a contributor.

Just curious, he did kill Stephany Flores Ramírez... Same motive with Natalee?? He is a violent man who would kill if he didn't get his way. MOO
100%, and the world can thank his dad for helping to assist him, apparently. imo.

Edited to add "apparently"

Not sure how this turned out.
----------------------------------------------------------
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — The mother of Natalee Holloway, a U.S. teenager who vanished during her senior trip to Aruba in 2005, is seeking at least $35 million from the producers of what she contends was a fake television documentary about the case.
----------------------------------------------
"Natalee Holloway’s father Dave Holloway participated in the program and contacted Beth Holloway seeking a DNA sample for use in testing, the complaint said. Dave Holloway isn’t listed among the defendants....."

(PACER) The case was terminated on 1/13/20 and is listed as dismissed with prejudice-settled. Each side shall bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs.

On July 5, 2005, following the initial release of the Kalpoes, (BETH) Twitty alleged, "Two suspects were released yesterday who were involved in a violent crime against my daughter",[21] and referred to the Kalpoes as "criminals".[22] A demonstration involving about two hundred Arubans took place that evening outside the courthouse in Oranjestad in anger over Twitty's remarks, with signs reading "Innocent until proven guilty" and "Respect our Dutch laws or go home".[23][24] After Satish Kalpoe's attorney threatened legal action over Twitty's allegations, which he described as "prejudicial, inflammatory, libelous, and totally outrageous", Twitty read a prepared statement on July 8, 2005, that said her remarks were fueled by "despair and frustration" and that she "apologize[d] to the Aruban people and to the Aruban authorities if I or my family offended you in any way".

It is Beth "Twitty" her surname at the time
-------------------------------------------------------------

"Twitty was criticized for her focus on Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers, to the exclusion of any other theory as to what happened to Natalee. According to the lawsuit filed by the Kalpoe brothers, she has (on various television programs) repeatedly accused them and van der Sloot of "sexual assault" and "gang rape" of her daughter."

It was a joint stipulation by both parties to settle.
Thanks, Mica. There must have been a strong NDA, given there is so much about her claims, but really nada about the settlement.

I feel sorry for Dave (even though he wasn't named in the suit, he was referred to several times). No way, imo, would he have conspired to misrepresent anything to do with NH's disappearance. He was always so respectful and humble in his very few TV appearances. IMO

May 11, 2023: Van der Sloot will appeal Peru’s extradition decision, his attorney Maximo Altez says, calling the extradition decision announced by President Dina Boluarte’s government an attempt to divert public attention from the country’s migration, social and political problems.

I'm curious what this is about. Greta released the news that v.d.Sloot will be extradited to Alabama for wire fraud charges, so why is she so excited about releasing information she has about Natalee's disappearance (alleged murder) ... at some later date?

Is v.d.Sloot correct in his concerns that after he arrives in Alabama, additional charges will be brought? Will Alabama then renege on the agreement to return v.d.Sloot to Peru on the basis that there are new charges in the USA not covered by the Peru extradition agreement?

Very interesting.

We'll see how this plays out.

JMVHO.

I'm curious why Greta van Susteren states "shame on the Netherlands and Aruba." It's not surprising that Natalee's mother is frustrated that no one was charged with the disappearance of her daughter, but Greta claims to have have proof that v.d.Sloot murdered Natalee. She also claims that there are accomplices and she knows their identities. The Netherlands isn't a developing country with an inferior judicial system. If there is proof, Dutch prosecutors would file charges.

I cannot help but wonder how this would have turned out had police quietly collected evidence via phone taps and surveillance after the disappearance. v.d.Sloot is clever, but not that clever that he could evade a clandestine police investigation. He received daily updates on the police investigation, which aided him in avoiding prosecution.

There was also the imagined sexual assault narrative. Stephanie Flores was not sexually assaulted, which reinforces the theory that v.d.Sloot has a fast, violent, unrestrained temper. What I mean to say is that Natalee's mother seemed to rely on imagination rather than facts during the early stages of the investigation. This helped the suspects and compromised investigators.

"Like many Arubans who understood the anguish of the missing girl's parents, van der Biezen is reluctant to accuse them of interfering in the investigation. But she observed that their freelance actions in confronting witnesses and suspects blew early opportunities for clandestine surveillance.
...

Renfro says she was perplexed when Twitty immediately concluded that her daughter had been kidnapped and made no effort to check hospitals or police about accident victims. Within hours, Twitty had concluded van der Sloot was responsible, and within a couple of days she was telling TV interviewers that she knew her daughter had been gang-raped and murdered."

IMO: that whole GVS nightly scene was exploitative of Mrs. Holloway. It was a circus, providing a forum for calling foreign teenagers rapists and criminals without proof. Just so much more. Endlessly badmouthing "Aruba" when it was Dutch law at play. Why was there never a word of criticism towards her friends who saw her drive off with 3 strangers, and who did not report her missing until it was time the next morning for the airport?

A lot of stars shifted position that night, lots of blame to go around before and, after, with respect to kneecapping the ability of Aruba to do quiet LE surveillance, as your link
refers to.

imo
