FWIW, I've never thought of Ambien as sleeping pills per se. My wife took them when she had breast cancer, through the chemo sessions. I think they were to help her relax at night. But are they classically thought of as "sleeping pills"? Maybe, I just never thought of them that way....

HLN reporting that GG will be detained in Aruba for another 60 days.

If they shared an apartment 6 nights a week as RF says they did, why doesn't he know she has issues sleeping? or that she has a RX for ambien? Ambien doesn't seem to be a medicine that needs to be secret.

I really don't know
Why would he lie?

It seems there may have been a lot he didn't know

I lived with a woman for five years (full time) and never knew she was taking anti-depressants the entire time.

That said, as someone else pointed out, RF merely said he was not aware of her ever taking sleeping pills during the day.

Moreover, I personally regard RF as a rather unreliable source of information. YMMV or whatever.

I wonder why his shoes and socks were wet? Did he go swimming with them on, Normally you would put you shoes and socks on AFTER you come out of the water, right?:waitasec:

Because in my opinion only he killed her in the water. He had to in order to make his story match up if she were to surface. I believe that he drugged her drinks (made by him in the rental car), and while woozy and intoxicated it made it easier for him to suffocate and/or strangle her to death in the water. He had to make it look like she drowned. That is also how I believe he was dry except for those "damned" shoes and socks.

J-A-G,

Yes they are know as a sleep aid....but can get you in lots of trouble if misused. I know I am old when I hear they are now "doing Ambien"----who knew??

:banghead:...and Don't you just hate when that happens???:banghead:

I have to give credit to Issues with JVM and for JVM asking further questions about the website where Robyn supposedly met GVG.

And, I asked this earlier today. OK, here's my post from this a.m.:

This is what I do not understand: Why don't interviewers ask her friends what her motivations were to be on this site. Surely they know more.:

Prime murder suspect Gary Giordano, who friends said she met on a swingers sex site

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...#ixzz1WcdDXQPU

Please, though, who were the friends who said she met GVG on that website?

Obviously, no new insights on that aspect of the case were derived from interviewing her best friend and RF this evening on Issues with JVM.

It is good that Aruban authorities are holding GVG for 60 more days.

In response to JVM bringing up Adult Friend Finder, CJ said it was Match.com where RG met GVG.

Why don't these friends of Robyn's clear up the confusion then? Nothing of any investigative value is added when they are interviewed.

As you said, both RF and CJ denied her meeting GG on that swingers website on JVM's show. Another friend (forget her name) also denied the same and said they met on match.com. This was on radaronline.com. I don't know where the info came from about the other site. Was anyone quoted as saying that?

Your link says article not found. Hmmmm?

You know what? RF and CJ need to make that perfectly clear then to anyone interviewing them, and they did not.

The article said that, and JVM was asserting that and asking about it.

Then whoever was quoted in the article, needs to be ferreted out and questioned.

The transcript from JVM I'm sure, will verify what RF and CJ said.

If RF and Robyn's friends are denying that GG met her on Adult FriendFinder, where did investigators or whoever the police source was get it from? According to the ABC piece, it was said that RG's friend told it to investigators.

Is that not true?

WOW! In my opinion, this creep is 100% responsible for Ms. Gardner's death, The "Daily Mail" article was something else; if there really is footage of this man stating threats/shoving her back in the elevator... not to mention the supposed rock with a bloody handprint... then I certainly would like to view this evidence. I am SO glad Aruban authorities have decided to keep him for 30 more days; finally that police dept. does something right, 'cause they sure didn't dish out any justice for poor Natalee Holloway. As soon as this story first broke, I felt that he "picked" Aruba specifically because he felt he could get away with murder there. And the insurance policy, trying to cash in TWO DAYS after Robyn supposedly went missing- whatta line of BS, imo- combined with the changing toupees (simply GROSS, lol!), plus his changing stories... I just hope he is held completely accountable. And OH! let's not forget that photo with the creepy animal mask- so... weird, to say the least. I think GG is a complete perv and also a stone-cold killer.

Possibly. I find the friend quoted on radar to continually conflict with other statements by CJ or RF, such as how long RG and GG knew each other and the extent of their relationship. But if CJ also says it was match.com, then they are in unison on that point. Probably doesn't matter, bottom line is she met a crazy guy online.

I think it does matter. Where is this information coming from? Isn't it strange that some unknown friend would be in contact with investigators in Aruba but RG's closest friends and RF haven't?

Match.com is used by over 5 million people, not really the same as saying she was out looking to hook up for some wild swinging sex. It doesn't matter if she did find GG on AFF, it's just nice to keep facts straight.

JMHO

There are a lot of discrepancies like that in articles and interviews. I agree it would be nice to track it down, but that's pretty hard to do from our position. When it all shakes out, my guess is that the journalist threw that in there after seeing it being talked about online by this one guy saying he knew Robyn and Gary. He was on the FB page for finding Robyn, maybe you know what I am talking about. He was shouting this pretty loudly last week, saying GG is "a known sugar daddy in the area" and that they met on AFF, are both swingers, etc. I asked him for a link to their AFF profiles and he could not provide one. Perhaps he was making it up. It never got confirmed so I discarded it, but then this morning I thought maybe he was legit after seeing AFF mentioned by the article. Now I am wondering if the ABC article took the rumors on the internet and turned it into an article. ABC was also wrong about the condom and bloody rock. In this article they are saying a family member called RG a "sneaky drinker" and was close to confronting RG. I hope that wasn't made up based on online discussions of RG's drinking. It can't be ruled out as a possibility though, based on the fact Taco had to shoot down their earlier reporting on the condom and bloody rock. That would also throw the finding of Ambien into question. Earlier CNN reported that GG denied sleeping pills were involved....

The lack of transparency is frustrating. I don't get why all the actual evidence can't be made public by Taco. Our attorney friends and other experts on here probably understand that and could explain.

I may be mistaken, I need to take another listen, but wasn't it said in the ABC piece that these were things that were said to the investigators by her friends? I didn't get the impression that these were just the thoughts of the reporter.
ABC was wrong about the condom but who told them, it was their source that was wrong.
