JA is in a horrible bind, I do feel for him a tiny bit...but don't see how he can carry on in a public capacity. Florida is a very conservative place for the most part, Imo, and many conservatives might be as hypocritcal as anyone else in what they do, but they don't like to condone bad behavior publicly. Not just FL, of course but that is where he is.

I do wonder what his wife will do. I would not be able to stick it out. His profile was very insulting and disrespectful to her, Imo, basically seemed to be saying he is bored, needs excitement, etc...yeah we all do but even if you are inclined to cheat, you don't have have to disparage your current partner and/or sex life at the same time.

I think he has to resign, regardless of what he says. Jmo

I was thinkng about the blackmail angle. Not sure where they hook up, but people have cell phone cams. There are cams everywhere. Streets, restaurants, homes, stores.

These people were willing to gamble. They got caught in one fell swoop, but everytime they strayed they were at risk.

Well it seems to me like the 'outing' of Mr Ashton from the database of names was strictly politically motivated by a young republican activist, tea party-er, new kind of newspaper publisher type, that being the publisher of the East Orlando Post who I believe was the first to publish the info about Ashton.

Well it seems to me like the 'outing' of Mr Ashton from the database of names was strictly politically motivated by a young republican activist, tea party-er, new kind of newspaper publisher type, that being the publisher of the East Orlando Post who I believe was the first to publish the info about Ashton.

I guess they want a Republican in the office.

I would be surprised if people did not already know about his activities. When I worked, affairs were known about. It is pretty obvious.

My point is that people think they are hiding their lives, but others know, They may talk to people about it or not. For instance, there are a couple of near neighbors who are alcoholics. They do not realize that everyone knows it. People who have affairs think no one knows. But many people know and choose not to say anything to others about it.

I am just saying that people think they are hiding themselves when in fact it is not true at all

I have been avoiding this thread :blushing: so this may be old news but it seems there is no email validation to sign up on the site? So ANYONE could sign up with ANYONE's email address or use fake emails? Anyone could create an unlimited number of accounts... No wonder there is 37 million, I wonder how many "real" and active users they actually have.

So you need a real credit card to create the account? That wasn't really clear in the articles I read. It sounded like you could just use any old email address to get access to the site and look around... Thanks.

Actually I'm not sure if you need a credit card to create an account. I do know that you needed a credit card to purchase certain things like a guaranteed affair etc.

I would agree that north Florida tends to be conservative politically. The rest of the state, however, is not. It's been called a "purple state" as both parties are successful here. But socially conservative? Well, the many, many strip clubs and adult stores would weigh against that idea. And although there's plenty of hypocritical politicians here who say one thing and do another, they're rarely made to pay by the voters. It will be interesting to see if this situation is any different.
